Have I ever mentioned that technology can get on my last nerve? If not, then I am mentioning it today. I have to use ZOOM quite a lot with my business, and since the pandemic hit, there has been a huge uptick in people on ZOOM. For some reason, people in this world get their jollies by causing havoc and trouble. Because those people decided to hack into normal ZOOM meetings, there are now lots of hoops that you have to jump through to jump on a ZOOM meeting. One of those hoops is that you need to enter a password or a passcode to join the meeting.

People like me don’t really need these extra hoops since there are only a few people joining the call. Plus, we all know each other, and I don’t admit anyone whose name I don’t recognize. However, I went to join my own meeting yesterday, and I couldn’t log on because I didn’t know the password. I could get on from a different device, but I couldn’t even locate the password in the app so that I could tell it to my attendees. After fiddling with it for 30 minutes, I decided to wait and deal with it today. I hope that I have better luck today, especially since I have a ZOOM meeting tonight at 9:00 pm. I guess technology isn’t really the problem; it is people who are always trying to hack, steal, and cause trouble. But, if any of you know where to find the password settings on ZOOM, be sure to let me know.

Today, my post is all about layering. Layering is the easiest and best way to stay warm in the fall and winter. You want to layer so that you can control how warm you want to stay. However, I also think that layering is all about style. The more layers you add, the more stylish your outfit looks.

I like staying in the same color family when I layer, but that is not a fashion rule. I just like the cohesive look that it gives when you stay in the same hues. Today’s look started with this heathered gray cashmere-blend tank top. If I am going to layer, then I want the bottom layer to be as soft as possible against my skin. This tank delivers in the softness department! It fits a tiny bit large, so I ordered the medium, and I am pleased with how it fits.

There is a tiny bit of lurex at the neckline and arms, which add a touch of sparkle. So, you could wear this tank with a fancy skirt to head out on the town. The tank is on sale in gray, navy, and red for only $20.85! Yep, you can get this soft cashmere-blend top for under 21.00! The matching pants are also on sale, so be sure to grab those too since they are under $30.00.

Since the tank was sleeveless, then I added an oatmeal-colored cashmere-blend open front cardigan in a long length. I know that oatmeal and gray are not in the same color family, but they look great together, and both of these items are in a soft tone, which I love. I love a long cardigan, and I think that it elongates your look. I am 5’6″ tall, just in case any of you were wondering. I am wearing a size 1 (8-10) in this cardigan, and it comes in sizes from 0 to 22, so you should be able to find your size.

The back view is also another reason that I love a longer cardigan. I think that it looks more pleasing when the cardigan goes past your rear.

Sometimes I will add a scarf for extra warmth, but there are times when I add a scarf to tie the outfit together. This scarf has a silver background with a touch of lurex for a little sparkle, and it also has a beige looking print to tie in the cardigan. I love the print of this scarf, and since it is an animal print and a neutral color, it will go with almost anything. Plus, it is also on sale, so be sure to give it a look-see.

I will probably lose some of you with my So-Slimming Ecru colored Slim pants. If you are on team, “wear white/off white/ivory” after Labor Day, then you will love these pants. If you still can’t bring yourself to wear any form of white after Labor Day, you should think about adding different color pants such as black, gray, sand, or even jeans. I am wearing my usual size .5 in these pants, even though I normally wear a size 10 in most brands.

One last layer that I would add in the winter is a nice coat. I hate getting chilled to the bone, so I try to keep nice and warm, and this camel wool-blend coat gives me just enough warmth for our Virginia weather. This is not a heavy-duty coat; it is more of a medium-duty coat. I love the unique double collar detail and the tie waist. Normally, I let my coat hang open and tie the belt in the back unless it is freezing outside. I am wearing a size 1 (8-10) in the coat, and you can see that it has enough room for the cardigan underneath. However, if you are in-between sizes, I would suggest sizing up to wear a heavier sweater under it with no issues. The coat is also on sale for 50% off, so if you are looking for a nice everyday long coat, this is one that you might want to consider.
