Kizik Shoes Review: Are They Comfortable?
Have you gurls heard of Kizik shoes? From slip-on ease to all-day support, we’re putting these sneakers to the test! Are they as comfortable as they look? Keep reading to find out my honest Kizik shoes review!
What are Kiziks?
Kizik shoes are slip-on sneakers that have a totally hands-free design. This means you can slip them on and off quickly without any pulling or tugging! Imagine this: you’re running late trying to get to your appointment. Instead of the usual shoe shuffle or sitting down to lace up your tennis shoes, you just slide your foot in, give a little push, and voila – they magically snap into place.
These shoes are a game-changer for folks with arthritis, Parkinson’s, or chronic pain! They would even be great for any pregnant gals you know. Their hands-free design means no bending over or struggling with closures or buckles, allowing them to maintain or reclaim their independence for a common daily task.

Kizik Shoes Review
Kizik Irvine
The Irvine style is the Kizik shoe I was the most excited for! I love pairing white sneakers with everything from dresses to denim shorts. They look sleek and chic without any obvious branding or designs, which is great for getting that non-sporty casual look.
Kizik shoes are available in wide and regular sizes 6-13 for women, as well as in regular and wide sizes 4.5-15 for men. All the styles have a roomy toe box, so they would be great for my gurls (or guys) that suffer from bunions, and a removable, washable insole.
Kizik Milan
Next up, we have the Milan. These look like a retro sneaker to me, and I love that! I normally wear a size 9, but the Milans run small, so Kizik recommends sizing up 1/2 size when ordering. I grabbed them in a 9.5, and they fit like a glove.
I love this neutral gray shade, “Mist,” because it goes with everything. You can also grab them in a sleek black on black shade, which would be great for anyone who needs to wear all black shoes to work. These shoes have a little more traction than the Irvine sneakers since they have a sawtooth sole, which will keep you from slipping or falling on wet sidewalks or slippery floors.
Kizik Madrid
The next shoe I tried was the Madrid! These were super comfy and stretchy, and the breathable Eco-Knit upper kept things cool and airy. They felt very lightweight but still supportive. Think of how quickly you could slip these back on going through airport security. I don’t know about you gurls, but scrambling to get my shoes back on quickly in the airport was something I always hated. LOL!
The Madrids come in 8 different colors, but I thought the black would be the most versatile. They would look super cute with joggers and a graphic tee, or workout pants and a workout top.
Kizik Athens
The Athens sneakers were probably the comfiest pair of Kizik shoes that I tried on! Just like all of the others, my foot just slipped right on in there without any bending over. This one uses “Cage” technology which is a thin piece of plastic lattice on the back to help the heel spring back up. I tried them in this pretty blue called “Deep Sea”, but they also come in gray, white, black, and pale pink.
I like that the insole is removable, so you can wash them if they get stinky. It’s also nice that they come out so that you can replace them with another insole for those of you with foot issues. This allows you to use your own custom orthotic or specialized insole for things like high arches or plantar fasciitis.
Kizik Vegas
I love a leather sneaker that can do it all! This one from Kizik is called the Vegas. Normally leather sneakers can take a while to break in, but this one takes no time at all. The chestnut color is lighter in person than they show on the website and runs true to size. The best part is that this particular pair is unisex. I have a feeling Joe would like them, too!
Pros and Cons: My Honest Kizik Shoes Review
First off, let’s cover the pros of Kiziks! I will say I loved the convenience factor I was a little doubtful that they would work at first, but they totally did. Slipping them on without having to bend over and tug or pull was soooo nice, and perfect for those busy mornings when you’re running out the door.
They’re also super comfortable, which is one of the first things I look for in a shoe at my age! I really like that they come in both regular and wide sizes for both men and women, because it’s tough to find wide shoes. I also thought they had a lot of great features for foot health like a wide toe box, removable insole, and breathable fabric.
I think they’re very cute, with lots of colors and styles to choose from, so you don’t have to sacrifice style for comfort. And let’s not forget about versatility – whether you’re running errands, hitting the gym, or spending the day traveling, these shoes can handle it all.
As for the cons, well, there aren’t many! Kiziks are a little pricer than some other shoes, with prices ranging from $100-150. Kiziks only offers sneakers at the moment, so if you’re looking for a dressier shoe, this is not the brand for you. Overall, the pros far outweigh the cons when it comes to Kizik Shoes, making them a solid choice for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and style all rolled into one!

Interesting concept for shoe design – I wondered if they actually worked. Thanks for the post.
These are the first slip on shoes I have seen that are actually cute! Yes, they are a bit pricier but I’m sure you will agree that the extra price would be worth the comfort and ease of slipping them on.
I’ve never heard of the Kizik brand. I wear the Sketcher step-in shoes and love them. But these look like something new to check out!
I’m going to do a post on Sketcher’s soon.
I have a pair of Kiziks and love them
Great! Thanks for letting everyone know your experience.
I had not heard of this brand before. Curious about the laces ‐ do they have to be tied?
They need to be tied to fit you the first time, after that, you don’t touch the laces again.
They look comfy!
I may have to try these as well. Based on your recommendation, I bought a pair of Skechers Slip-Ins….so far, so good!
I had never heard of Kizik shoes. Will check these out! I am appreciating your 50+ style help so much. Also…yesterday you mentioned a song (Favorite Things) from The Sound of Music. Today, the first line of your email was from another 20th century musical, Oklahoma (When you said, “O What a Beautiful Morning!”) Haha! Two of my all-time favorite musicals! I think you should go for three-in-a-row! 🙂
I almost quoted some of the lyrics from that song. Lol! I thought of it as soon as I typed the first line. Lol!
My husband had hip replacement surgery and these are the ticket! He wears a 15 wide and the ones with the cage technology is what he loves. They are true to size. if anyone is having trouble with their knees these are great too! He loved them so much that he got a pair to wear indoors as house shoes. We would definitely recommend these shoes.
I hadn’t thought about my husband, he might like a pair too.
I bought my older sis a pair awhile back. She has mobility issues and this way she doesn’t have to struggle to get them on
I was skeptical, but they are really easy to slip on.
