I’ve been in overdrive this past week, trying to get everything put together for our vacation. I have a checklist (thanks to my friend, Kim), and I shared it in today’s email with those who are signed up as email subscribers. Become a subscriber, and it will automatically be sent to you as a Welcome Gift from me. I’ve taken the list and changed it for our needs, and this list has been a game-changer.

Organized is not in my vocabulary, so any time that I can find a “hack” to get me on the right track, I take it. Now, as I pack the items I need to take with me, I’m crossing them off my list. I print out two lists, one for me and one for Joe; that way, both of us get to where we are going with everything we need. I hope to share with you soon how I decide what clothing to take with me. I’ve taken waaaay more than I need in the past because I packed at the last minute. I’m hoping that won’t be the case this trip, so I’m starting to put together a few outfits. Joe has always said, “don’t worry about it. If we leave something out, we can swing by Walmart and get it.” Ummm, there isn’t a Walmart on San Pedro. Lol!!!

I’ve been trying to show more casual clothing, and I’m also trying to show different price ranges in clothing, accessories, cosmetics, and skincare. My favorite way to show quality items at affordable prices is to find outlet or factory stores of brands that I know have high quality and prices to match. Sales are the easiest way to save money, but the inventory can be limited, and all the sizes sold out except for XS and S.

The white cotton/rayon/linen blend Button-Front Bodysuit was the inspiration for this outfit. You see me wearing a half-tuck shirt all of the time, and that’s because I am not great at creating a full tuck. I can never get the blousing correct, and if I do, it pulls out when I sit or stretch. A bodysuit with built-in blousing is the solution to my problem! I don’t worry about the snaps, if they are too short, I don’t snap them, and the suit still works fine. That might be how I end up wearing this bodysuit since the straps are thin and feel like a thong to me. But, I love the gauzy white top so much that I’m willing to adapt the top to fit my needs. I’m wearing a medium, and the top fits great.

This Yellow Lane Handbag is an example of me purchasing an excellent quality item at a discounted price. I love Coach Handbags, and shopping the Coach Outlet online is an easy way to get the quality I want at a price I like. I love today’s easy-going casual look, and I first added a chalk-colored handbag (photo later in the post) but then decided that I wanted to add some color to my look. This Yellow Lane Handbag was just what I was looking for, and I loved the size.

My straw earrings are part of a 4-pack that I bought to go on my vacation. I don’t want to wear expensive earrings in the pool or ocean, so I always grab some expendable and inexpensive options. My necklaces are the Adeline Link Necklace and an 18 Kt. Gold Vermeil Cross that I wear daily. My bracelet is a David Yurman Cable Loop Bracelet that I received as a gift. Those may go on the trip with me, but they won’t be worn to the pool or the beach. Lol!

Here is the photo of the Chalk Coach Lori Shoulder Bag I mentioned above. I love this color, and the size is great also, but I wanted to add color to my look. If you like staying with the neutral color, then this bag is a great choice. I saw some chalk-colored handbags on the Coach Outlet website, and I’ll link to those.

The photo above plus this will give you a good idea of how the Kennedy Crop Straight Jeans look. I love the small amount of distressing on the front and the hem in the back. The straight leg style is modern looking and will keep you looking youthful. I ordered these jeans originally in white, and I loved them so much that I ordered them in this color. I’m wearing an 8, and I like the relaxed fit.

The last two items I need to mention are the Khaki elastic belt and the Espadrille Sandals. The Stretch Woven Belt is also part of a 4-pack, and I love that you have three other colors to wear later. Since there are no holes in the belt, you can adjust it to fit your waist.

You can wear these Espadrille Wedge Sandals with shorts, jeans, pants, and dresses. They are very versatile and perfect for spring and summer. Plus, I love the neutral color that goes with almost anything. These sandals are remarkably comfortable, and they run true to size.
