Are you busy getting ready for Thanksgiving? It is interesting to me the different traditions that people have from different parts of the country. On my Instagram Stories, I asked whether you call it stuffing or dressing, and the answers were interesting. I have always called it dressing, but that is because I don’t stuff it in the Turkey.
My family is all coming in tonight, so I’m trying to fix a few dishes ahead of time. I don’t want to spend all day in the kitchen when I could be spending it with the family instead. Keeping it simple is the key, and I keep telling myself that it doesn’t need to be fancy. Thanksgiving is a meal, being thankful is an attitude.
I am going to share a few of my recipes with you, so if you are interested in my Sweet Potato Crunch, Homemade yeast rolls, or Southern Comfort Cake. Most of these recipes have been given to me by family and friends, and those are the best kind. I don’t leave out any “ingredient” like others have been known to do. Lol! I want the dish to taste as good when you make it as it does when I do. If you like the recipes, be sure to let me know. I’ve been thinking about making this an added addition to my fashion posts.
This might be my Black Friday Shopping outfit since it is super cute. But, since I probably will be doing all of that online, it will probably be a cozy loungewear outfit instead. All of the Black Friday Sales have started so early this year that I don’t think the excitement of Black Friday is still a thing. Plus, retailers have been having so many sales it seems like Black Friday is just another sale. What do you think, or have you ever thought about it at all? I just updated one Black Friday Sale, and I’ll update a couple more today.
This mock-neck animal print tunic is adorable. The jaguar print is striking, and a little different from the normal leopard print you usually see people wearing. I like the tummy hiding flowy top, and it is especially a great feature during the holidays when we all tend to gain a few pounds. I am wearing a size 1 which is an 8/10, and it fits me great.
Here is the view from the side so you can see the length of the tunic. It would be great to wear with faux-leather leggings or any black leggings.
You don’t have to add jewelry to this top since it makes a big statement by itself. But, I love wearing jewelry and sometimes feel weird when I don’t have some on. So, I added this multi-layer necklace that takes the guesswork out of layering for me. Chico’s jewelry doesn’t stick around for long, so this piece is already sold out. I found a couple of more necklaces that will also do the same thing for you, so I’ll link them below.
I was heading out the door, so I grabbed my Tory Burch McGraw handbag that is crammed full. If I could get the kitchen sink in here too, I would. Lol! One reason that I like carrying a large handbag is so that I have everything I need with me.
The Girlfriend So Slimming jeans have lots of details that make them special. You can barely see the studs that are around the front pockets, and there is a faux-snakeskin trim at the pocket and hem. The trim detail makes these jeans perfect for fall, and the hem also un-zips for higher boots. I am wearing my usual size 1 in these jeans, and they fit great.
These ankle boots are soooo cute! You can see the snake print metallic sheen on the heel of these boots, and it looks great with this outfit. The color will be fabulous for fall, and I can see myself wearing these a lot this year. They are a faux-suede material, and they run true to size. If you are between sizes, I would size up a 1/2 size to make sure that they fit.

Your sweet potato crunch is very close to my sweet potato casserole. My recipe call for rum! The topping is the same. I’ll have to send you my recipe. Definitely trying your Southern Comfort Cake! Love the animal print top on you! I want one!! 😂
Hi…..the print top looks great on you ! It would go with so many pants.
My chef husband says stuffing is cooked in the bird and dressing is cooked and served on the side. 🤓
Tunic is so cute! I love the look/fit of it.
I see you shared some recipes. Did you ever share the quiche recipe that some of us requested when you posted the brunch ideas? I missed it if you posted it, but would still love to have it if you haven’t posted.
Have a wonderful TG with your family Tania.
p.s. We call it stuffing, even though we never “stuff” the stuffing in the turkey! Dressing is salad dressing to us! Lol!
Great outfit! Thanks again for the inspiration!! Happy Thanksgiving to you & your family!
What a cute and stylish outfit. It looks great on you. Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy your family time.
Loved the top! And I’m with you, I feel a bit naked without some bling on!

I have a cranberry recipe that is a hit every year. Your sweet potato crunch recipe sounds delicious! Love your outfit. So cute! I can’t get away with a print like that so close to my face, but you look amazing. Happy Thanksgiving!
Ha! My mother and all my relatives from Tennessee call it dressing, but up here where we now live in PA we call it stuffing or sometimes filling. My mother grew up not far from you in Mountain City! Nice outfit-that top looks really soft and comfortable.
Love the recipes, can you use something other than southern comfort for the liquid? Could there possibly be a print button put on the recipe, so ads and other stuff are not included.
Love the Jaguar tunic top! I cooked the Sweet Potato Crunch recipe for our Canadian Thanksgiving in October. I got the recipe from your blog last year. Everyone loved it so thank you!
Very cute outfit Tania! Just a little too pricey for my budget. Enjoy your family time.

I too love recipes that are from friends and family. They’re the best! But you are right, some, don’t want to give out their recipes and instead of kindly declining, they leave out a ingredient. Thank you for your,

I use to find so many deals on black Friday but not so much now. Also, it would be fun to know what you all have in your tote!
Love that top! I have not Black Friday shopped in years. Not worth the hassles. Online shopping really has eliminated the need.
