Aging can be a royal pain in the rear, the back, the knee, etc! Aging is a process is we can’t stop, but we can control many aging factors and find ways to mitigate the damage that aging causes. I always think that keeping a good attitude about aging helps, but attitude can only go so far. So, I’ve also started to add products that can keep me looking younger and pain-free.

I bet that most of you take vitamins or supplements. I have a large pill container box filled with vitamins that I take daily to help me get the right amount of vitamins and nutrients that my body needs. Vitamin C, Zinc, D, B12, and K are just a few of the vitamins that I take, but they are not the only thing that I use.

June 2020, I started using Collagen For Her when I read about the benefits of Collagen.

Multiple studies report:

  • may help relieve joint pain from arthritis
  • has the key amino acid glutamine, which may help prevent inflammation in the gut wall and healing leaky gut syndrome
  • may aid in weight loss by boosting your metabolism
  • may help build bone density
  • may help increase muscle mass
  • may help to maintain healthy joints and tendons
  • Beauty Benefits: This may help achieve healthier hair, skin, and nails. It may help promote stronger nails, hair growth, and improved skin elasticity

My Morning Routine

Almost every morning, I start out the day with a cup of coffee. It is my little wake-me-up for getting my day started. Adding a small scoop of Collagen For Her Marine Collagen to my coffee is easy to do. I put in a scoop of Collagen, pour in hot coffee, and BAM! This powder instantly dissolves in hot liquids, so no floating chunks and no globs at the bottom of your cup. I don’t even have to stir after I add the hot coffee; it melts right away. Collagen For Her is 100% flavorless and tasteless, and I liked that it didn’t have any weird smells, tastes, or texture, and I could add it to my morning coffee.

I didn’t realize that all Collagen supplements didn’t have this same feature. I found out the hard way that all Collagen is not created equal. I’ve been splitting my time between my new home and our old home, I have had to remember to take certain items with me each time I travel. One week, I forgot to pack my Collagen For Her, so I picked up another brand to get me through the week until I went back to the new house. BIG MISTAKE!

I made my coffee like always, added a scoop of the collagen powder, and then waited for it to dissolve. Occasionally, a small amount of my Collagen For Her powder will get trapped on an air bubble, and I use a spoon to stir it up. It immediately dissolves once I break up the air bubble.

This photo was after I added the “other collagen” to my coffee. I had stirred my coffee for a few minutes when it finally occurred to me that this was NOT going to dissolve. Lesson learned…I now order my Collagen For Her products 2 at a time so that I can have the product at both houses and this doesn’t happen again.

With anything, such as eating healthier or working out, we have to give it time to see results. I’ve found out that with Collagen, you should give the products 2-3 months of consistent use before you expect to see results. I’ve found a way for you to use Collagen if you’re not a coffee or tea drinker. You can add the powder to baked goods and get extra collagen without altering the taste! One scoop has 11g of collagen and 10g of protein. But, if you prefer a capsule instead of a powder, their multi-collagen capsules are a great option and contain five different types of collagen.

A friend of mine told me that she adds her collagen to almost everything she cooks. She throws in a tablespoon of collagen into her spaghetti sauce, chili, or scrambled eggs. She said it didn’t alter the taste, and since she was adding it to hot foods, it dissolved easily. She swears it has helped her with her weight loss goals, so I decided to Google it to see if she was right.

According to, “Collagen supplements may increase satiety, or the feeling of fullness. This could aid weight loss and management by reducing hunger, and therefore, how many calories you eat in a day.”

Marine Collagen Beauty Blend

The Marine Collagen Beauty Blend is my choice, although the other products work great. It’s made from hydrolyzed fish collagen and has added hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C, and Biotin. It doesn’t have a fishy taste at all, but you get all of the added benefits.

According to the website, one scoop contains 5g of hydrolyzed marine collagen peptides. Bonus: this blend is pescatarian-friendly!

This beauty blend contains 100% of your daily value of Vitamin C, biotin, 100mg of hyaluronic acid! I know a little about skincare, and vitamin C and hyaluronic acid are two fantastic ingredients for your skin. It is also Paleo & Keto Friendly; Non-GMO, Sugar-Free, Dairy Free, Gluten Free, and Soy Free.

I like that Collagen For Her is also a woman-owned business; I figured they had a better insight into what a woman might need. Plus, they also give back, and I like doing business with companies that care.

If you are interested in giving Collagen For Her a try, or if you are already using their products, now is a great time to place an order since Collagen For Her is having their Black Friday Sale this week. This is their biggest sale of the year!

Now through Cyber Monday, their entire site is on sale with my favorite Marine Collagen Beauty Blend 20% off. Plus, the first 150 orders will get their Collagen Coffee Scrub for free with their purchase. You can shop their Black Friday Week Sale here.

  4. At your suggestion, I tried the marine collagen about six months ago and it has really made a difference in my nails. The collagen peptides I have been using in my afternoon smoothie and it makes a big difference in calming my appetite so that I do not overeat at supper. Two scoops gives a whopping 20 grams of protein which is wonderful. I highly recommend both of these products.

I ordered and started the Collagen for Her powder last year when you posted about it. I add a scoop in my coffee every morning. This summer when it was hot outside I quit drinking hot coffee and switched to iced (without adding collagen) Within about 3 weeks, I noticed my nails returned to being soft and splitting. Also noticed my knees aching more. I started my collagen again and my knees don’t ache as much and my hair and nails are strong. My beautician even commented this week on how thick my hair is and my skin looked good. I am 61 years old and am now a firm believer in Collagen for Her. And Tania, you are right ,, It has NO taste at all. (I could not believe that)
I have tried the capsules but I am not a good “pill taker” My schedule is sporadic and I get busy and forget, the powder works perfect in my morning cup of coffee.

I love my coffee first thing in the morning, dark and strong and I tried this brand of collagen and I could definitely taste a difference in my coffee. It’s fine in a smoothie but I don’t want a smoothie every morning. I’ll have to try cooking with it because my nails are a mess after years of acrylics and gels.

Lisa, for me, I noticed a change in my joints and my nails. I stopped using it for a while, and that’s when I noticed the change. My nails went back to being flaky and stopped growing. Now they are great, even when I don’t go to a salon.
