BENEFITS OF COLLAGEN AND WHY I AM STILL USING IT

Aging can be a royal pain in the rear, the back, the knee, etc! Aging is a process is we can’t stop, but we can control many aging factors and find ways to mitigate the damage that aging causes. I always think that keeping a good attitude about aging helps, but attitude can only go so far. So, I’ve also started to add products that can keep me looking younger and pain-free.

I bet that most of you take vitamins or supplements. I have a large pill container box filled with vitamins that I take daily to help me get the right amount of vitamins and nutrients that my body needs. Vitamin C, Zinc, D, B12, and K are just a few of the vitamins that I take, but they are not the only thing that I use.

My Morning Routine

Almost every morning, I start out the day with a cup of coffee. It is my little wake-me-up for getting my day started. Adding a small scoop of Collagen For Her Marine Collagen to my coffee is easy to do. I put in a scoop of Collagen, pour in hot coffee, and BAM! This powder instantly dissolves in hot liquids, so no floating chunks and no globs at the bottom of your cup. I don’t even have to stir after I add the hot coffee; it melts right away. Collagen For Her is 100% flavorless and tasteless, and I liked that it didn’t have any weird smells, tastes, or texture, and I could add it to my morning coffee.

I didn’t realize that all Collagen supplements didn’t have this same feature. I found out the hard way that all Collagen is not created equal. I’ve been splitting my time between my new home and our old home, I have had to remember to take certain items with me each time I travel. One week, I forgot to pack my Collagen For Her, so I picked up another brand to get me through the week until I went back to the new house. BIG MISTAKE!

I made my coffee like always, added a scoop of the collagen powder, and then waited for it to dissolve. Occasionally, a small amount of my Collagen For Her powder will get trapped on an air bubble, and I use a spoon to stir it up. It immediately dissolves once I break up the air bubble.

With anything, such as eating healthier or working out, we have to give it time to see results. I’ve found out that with Collagen, you should give the products 2-3 months of consistent use before you expect to see results. I’ve found a way for you to use Collagen if you’re not a coffee or tea drinker. You can add the powder to baked goods and get extra collagen without altering the taste!   4. At your suggestion, I tried the marine collagen about six months ago and it has really made a difference in my nails. The collagen peptides I have been using in my afternoon smoothie and it makes a big difference in calming my appetite so that I do not overeat at supper. Two scoops gives a whopping 20 grams of protein which is wonderful. I highly recommend both of these products.

This summer when it was hot outside I quit drinking hot coffee and switched to iced (without adding collagen) Within about 3 weeks, I noticed my nails returned to being soft and splitting. Also noticed my knees aching more. I started my collagen again and my knees don’t ache as much and my hair and nails are strong.       Lisa, for me, I noticed a change in my joints and my nails. I stopped using it for a while, and that’s when I noticed the change. My nails went back to being flaky and stopped growing. Now they are great, even when I don’t go to a salon.
