JEANS AND A BUTTON UP FLORAL SHIRT FOR A CASUAL SATURDAY
Happy Saturday!!!! Did I mention that I’ve decided to just stay in Belize? Just joking, I’m not staying, but when Joe and I went to Cancun several years ago, he refused to leave once our vacation was over. He kept saying, “I want to stay a few more days,” but I thought he was kidding. The night before we were supposed to leave, I was packing the suitcases, and he said, I”‘m serious, I’m not ready to leave.”
I called the front desk at the hotel to see if we could extend our stay. We wanted to keep the same room, so they said they would have to see if they could move things around, and they would call me back shortly. In about 20 minutes, they confirmed that they could accommodate us. Then I had to call the airlines and change our flights, but we ended up staying for another five nights. When those five nights were up, he was thrilled to finally be going home. Lol!
Saturday style is almost always a casual look for me. Casual doesn’t mean sloppy, it means not dressy. Lol! I still want to look nice, especially if I am out shopping or running errands. An outfit, like this button-up shirt and jeans, is exactly my style.
Y’all, I love this Button-Front A-Line Line Shirt in the Orchid Floral print. Patterns and bright colors are things that I Iook for when I am shopping for clothing. This is a lightweight voile shirt, so it will be cool even though it has long sleeves. I’m wearing a medium, but this shirt is way too big for me, so it must be oversized. I would size down at least one size.
Here is the look from the side which shows you the length and the shirttail hem. If you look real close, you can also see the tag hanging out from the neck. Lol! Since I’m sending the shirt back, I didn’t want to remove the tag.
You can see the shell buttons in this photo. Also, the jewelry that I’m wearing is the AVI Hoop Earrings, the Adeline Chain Link Necklace, and my 18 Kt. Gold Vermeil Cross Necklace. This jewelry is what I wear most days, and that is because it goes with anything.
You know that I love a duster, and this Lightweight Bright Pink one is gorgeous! This color is beautiful, and I’ll get a lot of wear from it this spring, and probably even this fall. Brown and pink are one of my favorite color combinations, so I’ll wear those colors together later this year. The cardigan is lightweight but it is nicely constructed and feels like nice quality. I’m wearing a large, but I think a medium would have fit me better. This color is limited in sizes, but I have noticed that the sizes get restocked fairly quickly. Plus, there are a lot of colors to pick from including a light pink and rust orange that would look great right now.
Here is the length of the cardigan in the back. I am 5’6″ tall for size reference.
This Vince Camuto Corin Leather Hobo tote is a great color for spring and summer. It is a good-sized bag, so it will hold all of your “essentials” and more! I like a large handbag most of the time, and this one is perfect for me. When I’m running errands or shopping, then I’ll use a small crossbody instead.
I love the unique strap on this tote, but I do wish that it was longer. Unless I have missed how you adjust the strap, it looks like it is a small drop and meant to be carried very close to your shoulder.
I’m not positive that I like these High Rise Straight Crop Jeans, but I don’t dislike them either. Normally, I love a raw hem, but these seem too straight and not jagged enough. Maybe if they were washed several times and the fraying was more, I would like them. I’m wearing a size 29, and the size is great. If your size is not available, try the curvy style. I sometimes switch them in and out for this reason. The curvy style has a little more room in them, but not enough to look baggy.
These Slingback Wedge Shoes are by TOMS, a brand known for giving back to the community. The natural hemp color and braided jute wrap make these shoes perfect for spring and summer. The platform is smaller than most I’ve ordered at 1,” and the wedge heel is 3 3/4″. These shoes will go with anything, and I can’t wait to wear them with shorts, crops, dresses, and slacks. I’m wearing my usual size 9, and the fit is perfect.
I’m wearing the Avi Hoop Earrings, the Adeline Chain Necklace, and an 18 Kt. Gold Vermeil Cross Necklace for this outfit. I’m also wearing a silver David Yurman Cable Loop Bracelet because I like to mix my metals.

Like this outfit on you. Like the brown belt, can you tell me where it’s from thank you
Pretty colors in the blouse, but alas it’s sold out!
Bummer! Looks pretty with the pink sweater. Very nice casual look!
Love the pink outfit
What a beautiful blouse and outfit on you! I’m glad y’all have enjoyed your vacation so much. I bet Lucy Lou and your daughters cat are ready for their humans to come home.
I really think J.Jill should either use you as a model or hire you to style their clothes. Everything looks so much better on you than the models on their website. Their online sales would soar!
I love the outfit. I love the color, personally one of my favorites. Very casual outfit but a fun girly girl vibe….
love the bright colors today! Thanks for the inspiration
Love the outfit. The colours are so bright and spring like.
Your sweetheart’s attitude at the “end” of vacation is just like mine. I never want to leave a Disney cruise and constantly think of ways I could bribe the captain into turning around and doing it again! My favorite bribery tools are chocolate chip or oatmeal cookies. Sigh. Vacations are the best!
