J.Jill In Home Try On Haul For Women Over 50 Who Want To Look Modern
If you don’t want to look stylish and modern, you’re not going to like my blog. I hate the idea of women fading into the background because they look frumpy. You might come kicking and screaming, but I’m going to always encourage you to get out of your comfort zone and try new colors and styles. Today, I’m doing a J.Jill in home try on haul for women over 50 who want to look Modern. Some pieces are colorful, some are classics, and all of them are modern.
For all of you who love try-on hauls, yesterday I did a Chico’s try-on haul, so be sure to check that one out too. Plus, don’t forget, J.Jill is having a 50% off sale on markdowns, so look those over too.

Let’s see a show of hands if you know why this outfit would be considered modern looking. 🙋♀️ If you said, “Because tracksuits are trending,” you would be correct. Give yourself a pat on the back.

This Magenta Half-Zip Color-Block Sweatshirt is a gorgeous color, and you know how much I love colorful clothing! While I love this sweatshirt, it is too big on me. J.Jill clothing sometimes runs big, so if you are between sizes, you will want to size down in this one.

The bright pink stripe down the arms is perfect for adding some interest to the look. This sweatshirt doesn’t have a matching pair of sweatpants, but I’ll link to a set below that looks matchy-matchy.

It’s time for another pop quiz! Who knows why THIS outfit is modern-looking??? If you said, “Because you’re wearing straight-leg jeans and flats,” you would be correct.

I’ve mentioned before that I always try to replace my white T-shirts and button-down shirts each year. If you aren’t very careful, they can get stains or yellow, and I hate it when that happens.

I love the fit and feel of this Classic White Shirt. It is over 60% cotton but has a little spandex and polyester, which makes it feel silky and gives it a tiny amount of stretchiness. The length is perfect for tucking in or wearing loose. I’m wearing a medium that fits great and doesn’t pull at the buttons.

I love these Straight-Leg Jeans! The color is gorgeous and a great shade that isn’t too dark or too light. I’m 5’6″ tall and usually wear a 32 inseam for sizing reference. These jeans would look great with booties or heels, but today I chose to wear them with flats.

A white button down shirt makes a great layering piece. Seeing the collar and the cuff sticking out from underneath a sweater looks polished and put together.

Clothing that looks festive but can be worn later in the season is usually what I look for. I love the design of the Snowflake Sweater, which looks wintery and can be worn all winter long.

I like the snowflakes, especially since they are bright and colorful, which you don’t often see. Most sizes have sold out already, so I’ll link to a few other sweaters that are winter-friendly.

Here is another outfit where I’m wearing straight-leg pants for a modern look. This is a great example of pairing classic items together without looking frumpy. The unusual color grabs your attention, and the classic white shirt isn’t even noticed.

Because I wore the shirt untucked in the previous outfit, I wanted to show you how it looks when tucked into a pair of pants. The untucked look is trending, and I like wearing shirts untucked, but they don’t look as dressy. There will always be times when tucking your shirt is necessary.

I LOVE these pants! The material feels like you have on loungewear, but the look is very professional looking. For you ladies who work outside the home, this is the best of both worlds. You can be comfy while looking professional and classy.

This isn’t my best side, but I figured it is one that you would want to see. I’m wearing medium pants, but they are a bit baggy on me. I’m undecided on what to do since I’m afraid that a small would be too tight.

Whenever you SHARE my posts on PINTEREST, INSTAGRAM, YOUTUBE, AND FACEBOOK, it helps other ladies who might be style challenged to find my blog. I appreciate every one of you, and I consider you a friend.

The things you chose look wonderful on you. If you think the pants are too loose and you love them you could keep them and order a size small also….then return one of them. If the medium is truly the best size, then you could have them altered to fit you perfectly. The color is good on you!
Ps I love snowflakes too. I have a collection of snowflake tops!
Those pants d/n look too baggy. Look like a great fit 👍🏾. Thanks for great guidance & posts this year. Happy New Year!🥳
