IT’S TIME FOR AN AFFORDABLE FASHION TRY ON SESSION FROM WALMART

 

Go and get a refill of whatever you are drinking because this will be a LONG post. I haven’t done a Walmart try-on session in a while, and I found all of these cute items, and I couldn’t wait to share all of them with you. I like sharing affordable clothing along with splurge items that will keep everyone guessing on where your clothing comes from. Lol!

 

 

I thought some of these looks would work for the 4th of July, and you know that is coming up right around the corner. I am actually very excited about the 4th this year since my son and his family will be staying with me for that week. I can’t wait to see all of them, especially since they are staying for a whole week.

 

 

I always hate it when they leave because the house is sooo quiet. The sounds of laughter, fights, and squeals are missed once they are gone. Plus, my son is my “coach,” and you’ll get to hear all about that soon. For now, I am still in the trial stages, but everything is going well.

So, if you have your drink refilled, let’s get started.

 

 

Whenever my outfit gets an “oooh, that looks nice” from my husband, I know that it is a good look. This 100% cotton knot hem collared tank is adorable, and it is perfect for any occasion, especially for the upcoming 4th of July.

 

 

I love the button-up top, and the knot tie detail creates interest and also is flattering. The top hugs me around my hips, but it doesn’t cling to my stomach area, so that is a big plus in my book. I am wearing a large top, and I think that it fits me nicely.

 

 

Here is a look from the back so that you can see the length of the top. I love this top so much that I’ve worn it 3 or 4 times since I bought it. Lol!

 

 

These white jeans are the same jeans that I wore for Saturday’s post. I thought they were Vince Camuto white jeans, but the description for those says they are skinny jeans, and these don’t look like skinny jeans, so I am confused. So here is what I am going to do…I will link to several white jeans that I’ve been wearing lately because it is one of them. Lol!

 

 

The crossbody Fossil handbag that I am carrying is a great neutral. I love the color variations and the color blocking of the bag. The bag is bigger than I thought it would be, but it is still a thinner style bag. A crossbody is a fabulous style handbag because you can keep it close to your body, which is great if you are out shopping.

My Energizer Bunny Friend has a dress like this that she loved and wore all of the time. She said that it was from Walmart, so when I ran across this one, I grabbed it to give it a try. Of course, I already knew how it looked on her, but I wanted to see how it looked on me.

 

 

I bought a large in the dress since I usually wear a size 12 in dresses. The dress features a cinched waist, so it adjusts to whatever size that your waist is at the moment. This would surely come in handy during Thanksgiving. Lol! Because I could tighten the waist, I could make the dress fit me better, but I should have sized it down to a medium since this one was too big on me.

 

 

Here is the view from the back so you can see the length and fit of the dress. The dress’s material is linen and rayon so that it would be cool in the heat of summer, and dresses like this are great for beating the heat. I would probably not even cinch the waist as tightly so that it didn’t touch me anywhere if I was in the hot summer sun.

The dress comes in three styles; this magenta style, a blue style, and a denim chambray style. All of them are nice, and all of them are under $15.00! Talk about affordable fashion; that is an understatement.

 

This isn’t my usual look, but I do like trying new things. I also prefer a v-neck or a scoop neck style the best, but I decided to try this striped t-shirt dress even though it has a crew neck. You can see that I added a chunky necklace (no longer available) to the dress to draw your eye down. You could also style the dress with an open-front blazer which would also trick the eye.

 

 

The dress comes with a self-tie belt, but I think that I like it best left unbelted. But, of course, you can always add your own belt to a dress like this to jazz it up some.

 

 

The knit dress is very comfortable, and I do like that it has pockets. I also like the midi length, and I think that the dress would look cute when worn with a pair of sneakers. This is the perfect style dress for dressing up or dressing down; it all depends on your mood.

 

 

I am wearing a large dress, and I like the fit of the dress. And, this dress is only $11.00, so you can’t beat that if you tried. But, the dress looks way more expensive than it is, and no one would ever guess that it costs so little.

If you don’t like wearing horizontal stripes, the dress also comes in five solid colors and a leopard print. All of them are a steal at $11.00! Since stripes are a huge trend, I am going to link a few other styles for you to choose from

 

 

My black sandals are a pair that I recently bought, and they are by Katy Perry. I looked online, and they are not available any longer, so I searched for some similar styles that I thought you might like. I also included some slides since several of you have mentioned that you didn’t like the thong style.

 

My cork heels are a pair that I bought several years ago, and I love them so much. They are a great neutral, and they go with almost anything. I recently ran across a pair that looks almost identical, plus they had several other styles in the cork material. I’ll link to all of those below.
