I am going to play like Paul Harvey today, and tell you the “rest of the story!” So, if you saw my post yesterday, you heard me talk about a kitten that I bought when Joe and I first got married. I thought it was a funny story, but there were some people who took offense to the story, so I thought that I would clear the air. Joe is a person who will pull over on the side of the road to go and rescue a turtle trying to cross the road. He is also the same person who is trying to figure out how to keep the state from filling in a hole that has developed in the pavement on the hill leading to our house. The reason that he is worried about that is that there is a groundhog that lives there. So, when I brought in a cat to the house that was “found” he tried to find the cat a home instead of kicking it back out where it had been found. The next day, when he was at work, I drove back to the house and knocked on the door. I introduced myself to the lady and told her the whole story about the cat. I then offered to take the cat back (I was going to give it back to the person that I bought it from) because I was afraid that she might not have wanted the cat. She laughed at the story, and then told me that they already loved the kitten. She told me that their cat had died about a year earlier, so they were happy to get the cat. Although, she was a little concerned that the kids had talked to strangers who were bearing gifts, and she said that they got in trouble for that. So, now you know the “rest of the story!!!” This was my sitting around the house and doing nothing outfit this weekend. How can you go wrong with a pair of leopard print leggings and an oversized sweatshirt? I was warm, and I was comfortable. It rained all weekend long, so I didn’t feel the need to go out anywhere. I figure that if I have these kinds of days, you must have them occasionally also.
I promise you that if I am just sitting around the house on the weekend, I am not wearing earrings and a necklace. But, I thought that I would throw on some jewelry so that you could see what I would do if I decided to run out to the store. It is super easy to grab my Tessie earrings and throw on this gorgeous tortoiseshell link necklace. The necklace is one that I bought when I very first started blogging, and I think that I bought it at TJ Maxx. I love this necklace, even though I don’t wear it often. I put it on a lot, but I always end up taking it back off for some reason. I think that it is such a noticeable item that I am afraid that it takes away from whatever I am wearing. Hereis a similar necklace by Keneth J Lane, plus a couple of others that I like.
While I am typing this post, I keep hearing this saying in my head, “leggings ain’t pants.” Lol! I don’t like the look of wearing leggings when your rear is not covered, but if I have a top that covers my bummy, then I have no problem in wearing them as Pants. Even though leopard print has been hot for a couple of years, it is not showing any signs of going away soon. I have heard that the Zebra pattern might be gaining traction, so be on the lookout for that pattern when you are shopping.
Maybe you saw my post about the NEWEST product that just launched from Rodan + FIelds. It is called Spotless, and it is formulated specifically for teens and young adults to address acne. It has already proved to be a big hit since no one wants to see their child suffer from acne when there is a solution. I use my own spotless regimen, but mine is called Reverse. Lol! It is the regimen that is responsible for me becoming a consultant. It removed “spots” from my face, and it has “lightened” my stubborn ones to the point that you probably can’t see them. The remaining spots might be stubborn, but I am even MORE stubborn. If I used this regimen all the time, then the spots might already be gone. I don’t use it in the summer at all, and I only use it 2 or 3 times a week in the winter. If you are interested in getting Spotless for your loved one, or if you are interested in trying my spotless regimen, Reverse, message me or go to my website here.

I’ve had a zebra print blouse for years and love wearing it, especially since it’s an animal print I don’t see as often as others. It’s also easy to combine the black and white pattern with other colors, so I guess it’s kind of a neutral. I’ve always had fun with animal prints and it doesn’t bother me at all if someone says they’re on the way “out”.
Alison, I would love a zebra print blouse, I think that sounds fun. I don’t think that leopard print is “out,” I just think that they are going to concentrate on some of the other patterns more for a while.
I keep reading that leopard print is out for 2019. I’m not a huge fan of it anyway, but I also believe in wearing what you like and feel good in. And yes, leggings are most definitely pants when worn correctly!
Grace, it works too well. Reverse is a lightening regimen that will give you a “glow.” However, I don’t want my face whiter than the rest of my body and in the summer I will get a small tan. It I use Reverse too often, it will take away the tan, Lol!!!
Tania,
People can be so rude jumping on you for something as silly as your story. They have no clue. Anyways speaking of husbands…mine says he’s going to ban me from reading your blog! Lol he was kidding of course… because I keep buying things when I see you wear something great! He says we need a bigger closest and don’t have room for my new found shoe fetish! I have cleaned out my closet gave 2 huge garbage bags full of clothes away to have room! I also added a jewelry station he helped me put up so I knew what I did and did not lol have! You’ve inspired me! Thank you!
Aww, I would never have thought Joe was heartless about animals, and I’m sorry anyone gave you grief about that cute story. But I love that sexy outfit you’re sporting today! So classy and comfy too. So I promptly had to order the leggings you link to, and I’m gonna have to get one of those necklaces too cause they make the outfit pop! Great job today and give Joe a hug from a reader who loves yall!
That is one fabulous necklace. I am shy about wearing leggings and the tunic top as to come way far down mid thigh or short dress length so that even if I am reaching up on a high shelf , nothing will show.
You are so darling and Joe sounds like a darling
too! My husband bought me a pair of tights for Christmas (he thought they were winter underwear!). I have been reluctant to wear them with long tops and cute boots — I am pushing 70. The main thing is, I feel naked when I have them on! Would it help, do you think, if I wore them at home until I got comfortable in them? Folks who have seen me dressed this way say I look cute, but I feel like I look half-dressed! Thanks!
You know, Tania, I think that stunning necklace is horn. Could be a manmade look-alike, but it looks real in the pictures. Really, really nice find! (And those earrings really do go with everything–!) Looking good!
I loved your outfit today and also learning that you look so fabulous when staying at home. My question is, do you put makeup on every day? I struggle sometimes when I look in the mirror if I want to go to the trouble of fixing my face, or just take a chance and go au natural … then I always wonder, what would Tania do?
Dee, when I am not taking going anywhere or taking pictures, I will usually still apply my Radiant Defense by R+F, blush, and mascara. It is my 5-minute face, and it is just enough to not look scary. Lol!
Your story about Joe reminds me of my hubs. When we were fist dating years ago we stopped by a pet store in the mall and there was a display with parrots. Well one was a small compared to the others and it seemed like he was getting picked on so hubs bought him. Never mind the fact that he didn’t know anything about birds. Long story short, we still have him (the parrot) 31 years later. Love your weekend look. The necklace is fab!
Love your outfit! super cute and perfect for lounging or running errands. would be so comfy traveling as well. I know you probably don’t need me to say this, but anyone who has really reads your blog should know that your family would not do anything to mistreat an animal or person! so I had not even considered that the kitten was not mother approved.
Thanks, Mary. That is kind of what I thought too. However, I realize that some might not have been reading the blog as long as others. They could have jumped to the wrong conclusion.
What a lovely story with such a happy ending, The leggings look great, I have a similar pair. I think animal print of any kind is here to stay for a long time. Love – Jill stylishatsixty x
Gine, he was wondering yesterday how we could trap the groundhog in order to have him moved from the hole. He is afraid there isn’t an exit door to the hole.
Tania, I have asked before and don’t think I have gotten a response. Anyway, please tell me what is the name of the lipstick you are wearing. It is a good shade that makes your white teeth pop.
Good morning, Sheryl! Thanks for asking about my lipstick, but the truth is that I have no idea what I am wearing. I have about 10 different lipsticks that I like and I usually combine the colors to get a shade that I am looking for. I very seldom ever just apply one lipstick for the entire day. I normally use lip stains though, instead of lip sticks.

I always look forward to your emails. Love the classy but casual and comfortable style. I love getting ideas from your page.

Poor Joe getting a bad rap. I love this outfit. Leopard is one of my favorite prints. You look great for a rainy Saturday outfit
Joe is hard on anything that can take up for themselves. BUT, he will fight for anything that is weak or an underdog.

I am with you, Jill. Animal print, in general, is here for a while!
Love that Joe wants to save the groundhog! I would do the same. My life’s mission is to help animals.❤️
You are beautiful, as always. Love your blog.

Do you have a favorite brand lip stain?
I use LipSense and also Revlon and CoverGirl.
