I WANT MY WEEKEND OUTFITS TO BE SOFT AND COZY

I think that I mentioned that the week was flying by quickly yesterday. It was going even quicker than I thought since I thought that today was only Thursday. Most people would think that it being Friday was a good thing, but for me, it was an oopsy moment. I’ve been trying to do a Friday Favorites post each Friday and share some of my favorite goodies and finds, but I forgot to do that this week. It looks like you are stuck with me again today. Lol!

I did realize that it was getting close to the weekend, just not that it was tomorrow. Lol! I’ve spent most of the morning going through tons and tons of packages, and trying to get them opened, sorted, tried on, and steamed for photoshoots next week. Joe walked past the front door yesterday morning and said, “Hey, you’ve got some packages at the front door.” I went and got them, and then I took them to the bedroom to get them sorted. About an hour later, he says, “Tania! Didn’t you hear me say that you have some packages at the front door?” I said, “Okay, I’ll go grab them.” Little did he know that those were completely different packages. Lol!!! Let’s hope he doesn’t need to go into either of our spare bedrooms for anything. Lol! He might have a conniption.

Most weekends, I am a tee shirt and jeans kind of girl. I like to have on a nice tee and one that is not slouchy or stained. A nice bright color or a cute graphic t-shirt is what I gravitate toward. The burgundy beet colored one that I have one today fits nicely, and it is very lightweight. I don’t like a thick heavy t-shirt for some reason, and I want them almost to feel like they have been worn for ten years or more. Lol! This one by Calson had gotten many great reviews from some of my friends, and I have to say that they were right. I am wearing a medium in the tee, and it fits me perfectly. It comes in several other colors, including a leopard print, and I am leaning toward getting me the Grey Ebony color.

On weekends, since I do not need to feel all dressed up, a pair of distressed jeans are my uniform. I love the distressing on this pair because they look and feel like a ten-year-old pair that I’ve loved and worn daily. You might have noticed that I want items that are “broken-in” and are soft and comfortable for the weekend. I don’t want to feel confined or too dressy, and these jeans are one of the best pairs that I’ve found for that vibe. This is a pair of jeans that I bought in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and they are the Great Jones Ripped Skinny Jeans by BLANKNYC. I am wearing my usual size 30 in these jeans, and they fit perfectly. For sizing references, I am 5’6″ tall, and I usually wear a size 10 in jeans.

You’ve seen me talk about this Kattee Handbag in Sorrel for several days. I’ve got a few more in now by this brand, and I’ll show them to you soon. I’ll upload their pictures for you to see them now and let you know the difference in them. This one has slight variations in color, and as it goes toward the center, the color is lighter and brighter than it is on the ends. This handbag comes in two different sizes; I am carrying a large, but it also comes in an extra-large size. It has gold hardware, zips at the top, satchel handles or a crossbody strap, and has several compartments inside.

This Dark Brown Kattee Satchel Tote is also genuine leather and very nice and sturdy. It has a solid color and is not varied at all. The hardware on this one is silver, and it also has several compartments inside, zips closed, and has feet on the bottom of the bag. It has a small zip compartment on the back of the bag, which is perfect for a cell phone or wallet. This tote comes in small and large, and I have a small size. It is pretty much the same size as the previous bag except that this one is probably two inches taller.

And, I also grabbed this Kattee Satchel Tote in Black to try. I am impressed with the pebbled leather on all of the handbags. The leather is soft and subtle, and it feels nice. It doesn’t have the same leather smell as the Vince Camuto one that I wore in this post, but it is also a third of the price. I bought the extra-large size in this one, and it is nice and roomy, but not HUGE. The only downside to this purse that I can see is that the gold hardware is almost a rose gold and the zippers look like bright gold. It is a subtle difference, and the colors might change with time. It is probably something that most people would never even notice. Lol! These are all great choices, and none of them are over $80.00! You can get a brown one and a black one for that price. Lol! Don’t you love the way that I think???

Other than a t-shirt and ripped jeans, a soft and cozy cardigan is my favorite weekend clothing item. I love feeling wrapped up in softness, and since I am always cold, this is perfect for me. If I am not wearing a cardigan, you will find a blanket over my legs, and the cardigan is much cuter. Lol! This long sleeve soft chunky knit cardigan is very lightweight. This is not a heavy cardigan, so this is one more for the fall transition period. It would probably be okay with a long sleeve turtleneck, but it is very lightweight. It came shrink-wrapped in a bag, and it took a few minutes for it to fluff out. I love the length of this sweater and the soft stretchiness of the material. The size that I am wearing is a medium, and it fits me perfectly.
