How To Wear Your Holiday Clothing More Than One Way
I love clothing! I buy a lot of clothing! You were probably not surprised by those statements. But what you might not know is that I am also frugal when it comes to clothing. I’m not talking about price point when I say frugal; I’m talking about being able to wear my clothing in multiple ways. I like to make sure I can wear my holiday clothing even after the holidays to get my money’s worth. So, today I’m going to show you how to wear your holiday clothing in more than one way.
Isn’t this Jeweled Bow-Detailed Sweater gorgeous? I love how the bow with the rhinestone/crystal embellishment makes the sweater so festive and fun, but it doesn’t scream Christmas. You could wear this sweater to work, a business meeting, or anywhere you want to look dressy and elegant. I’m wearing a medium, and I like the way it fits. It is not too tight and not too oversized; it’s just the perfect fit.
Velvet is a fabric that looks perfect for the holidays, but you can also wear it at other times of the year. I have several velvet blazers, and I love wearing them with jeans in the fall because they look so rich and luxurious. I styled this Black Velvet Blazer earlier in the week, and if you want to see how I styled it, you can click here.
These Ponte-Knit Flare Pants look great with the bow sweater. The flare pants have a modern look and are perfect for any time you don’t want to wear jeans. They are super comfortable and look so lovely. I’m wearing my usual size 8, so I think these run true to size.
You can wear these gorgeous Faux Suede Block Heel Sandals all winter long. They look great with pants, jeans, skirts, and dresses, and they are so affordable. These run true to size; I’m wearing my usual size 9. They come in several colors, including metallic silver, in case you need a pair for a special event.
This holiday look is casual and a little sexy looking. You can still look sexy when you’re over 50 without showing a lot of skin.
This Textured Turtleneck Sweater is casual and oversized. Sometimes I want a sweater that doesn’t touch me anywhere, and this one is perfect for that. Who wants to walk around holding in their stomach to keep their lumps and bumps from showing? The black is already sold out, but there are a lot of colors to choose from, so I’m sure you’ll find one you like. Because it does run oversized, you might want to size down if you want a fitted look. I’m wearing a medium, and I like the way it fits.
How do you like this Crushed Velvet Double-Breasted Blazer? Crushed velvet is a little more fun and whimsical than a regular velvet item. This crushed velvet Blazer surprised me; I like it way more than I thought I would! I can’t wait to wear this later this year with a pair of jeans and a graphic tee. I’m wearing a size medium, and it fits me perfectly.
I bought these Black Leather Knee High Boots during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. These boots look great with leggings, jeans, dresses, etc., and the shaft is plenty of room for my calves. I’m wearing my usual size 9, so these run TTS.
I have a ton of black leggings and a few faux leather ones too. But I couldn’t resist these Black Faux-Suede Leggings from NYDJ. I love NYDJ because they know how to fit a woman’s mature body. I love the luxurious look of these leggings and the softness of the fabric. I never know if I need a medium or a large when ordering leggings, so I ordered a large in this pair, and they are perfect.
What do you think about this CHIC holiday look?
I like items that have some sparkle and shine for the holidays. This oversized Sequin Rib Sweater has enough sparkle to satisfy my desire for bling but not so much that I can’t wear it later in the year. This sweater is just long enough to wear with a pair of leggings, and I think it looks fantastic with this faux leather pair. I’m wearing a medium, and it fits me great.
Warm, plush, soft, and cozy! This Faux Fur Plush Jacket is like being wrapped in a big hug.
This soft plush jacket reminds me of my vintage mink stoles. It manages to look elegant and sophisticated, and fun all at the same time.
This item would look great worn with jeans anytime this fall and winter. I’m wearing a large, but I think a medium would fit better.
Do you have a pair of faux leather leggings? When I first saw faux leather leggings years ago, I worried I might be too old to wear this style. I’m so glad I didn’t let my age keep me from trying this fun item. This is an excellent pair if you want to try faux leather leggings. They are priced under $60, which makes them very affordable. I’m wearing a size medium which fits fine, but I think I would prefer sizing up to a large.
Nordstrom is running a Triple Points event, and Nordy Club Members and Cardmembers can earn Triple Points on their Nordstrom purchases from November 9th through November 13th. I like to use this opportunity to purchase my Christmas gifts and get myself a few things I might need. Since Nordstrom is having a Holiday Deals Sale through the 29th, I’ll show you some of my picks. This is a great time to get your shopping done while earning Nordstrom Notes three times as fast.
Nordstrom offers free shipping and free returns; it is super convenient. I love trying on clothing in the privacy of my home, but I hate paying for shipping and returns. That is one reason I love shopping at Nordstrom; trying new clothing styles never costs me anything. Nordstrom offers BOPUS (Buy Online Pick Up in Store) and contactless curbside pickup options.
Nordstrom and ShopStyle Collective sponsored this post, and I will receive compensation, but the opinions expressed are my own.

Love the outfits, especially the more casual ones, but I have to say the flare pants are too short! I thought the rule of thumb is that they should be long enough to reach the top of your shoes.
Love the casual, sexy look!
The crushed velvet blazer is my hands down favorite!
I like a lot of the things you were wearing. I just cannot wear the fake leather leggings. I just feel too old for them. plus, I live in Florida where I could probably wear them one day a year! Most of what you show I cannot wear here- too warm here in our “winter”. We did fly up East to see relatives a week ago so I got to wear long pants and sweaters there. I don’t go for fancy glitter holiday wear, so your post was a great way to show how to wear more subdued holiday clothing.
I’m not a fan of the crushed velvet, but it looks good on you. I love the oversized turtleneck. Thanks for the tips for those of us over 50. I love the mix and match ideas. It’s always great to have options. Thanks
Love the faux leather pants!
Love your style!
I love your holiday choices, especially the pretty colors! The bow sweater is my favorite of the looks ❤️ It’s classy but doesn’t scream Christmas
I love the navy velvet jacket! You look so pretty in it.

So much to choose from! I like all the pieces on you – pretty sure I am too old (71) for the fake leather pants. I like seeing them on others. However, there are many other pieces in your post that i can wear.
Love the blazers!
you are so inspiring
I love the boots and black faux fur jacket. Thanks for your holiday outfit ideas.
The short faux plush jacket is a so cute! I love it!
I love the boots!
Such cute styles without dressing up too much! I host Christmas so I’m usually running around. I want to look festive but comfy! Thanks Tania!
Love all the holiday looks, nice mix of all the textures!
Love all your holiday looks & agree most can be worn afterwards .. a win/win in my book. Thanks for the inspiration!
You look gorgeous in all the outfits. I especially love the jeweled bow tie sweater. You always inspire me and what I can do with my wardrobe.

Love the holiday looks…they don’t scream Christmas 😊..i especially liked the second outfit with the faux suede leggings and black boots…gave you legs for days! I may have to try those!
Thanks for reminding us we can wear our holiday things in more ways.
I love velvet for the holidays. Have a hard time styling it after Christmas.
Thanks for the inspiration! I’m bringing back some of my clothes that have tucked away in another closet, like my RL double-breasted blazer. Great ideas!
I wasn’t sure if I could wear faux leather leggings, but after seeing you look so great in them, I’m going to give it a try! Thanks, Tania!
You look so sexy in those leather pants and leather boots. You are killing it!
All these outfits look gorgeous on you. I can emulate most from things in my closet!!! I love when you inspire me.
Nice outfits. Now add a few pops of color. it makes them more festive. Love those boots!
This post is full of great ideas. You look marvelous in the black faux leather pants and knee high boots!
I love the outfits, but I would worry my feet would freeze in the open toe sandals. I do like the sandals for all the other seasons though!
I love the tall black boots. Disappointed I didn’t get them during Nordstrom’s Anniversary sale. They are on sale now but not available in my size 🙁
Love all your holiday looks. They are all very versatile
Great ideas. These posts give me the courage I need to try different styles!
Love the little plush jacket it looks great on you.
I love the holiday looks
You looks awesome in these outfits. I’m too shy to wear the bling. You’re rocking it though.
You look great in all the outfits you styled. Now if I only had somewhere to dress up! So nice to see a variety of choices.
Appreciate how you create outfits made up of items that you’ve already styled in other outfits. That helps for those of us who can’t afford or don’t want to buy the newest and latest.
Beautiful clothing! do you have any ideas to dress up a red satin blouse for the holidays and for a wedding guest?
Velvet blazer rocks
The outfits look comfy…and nice! I really like the boots and turtle neck. 🥰
Great post.
