Is it already Monday again? I swear it feels like I just blinked my eyes and three days slipped away. Lol! Here in Virginia it has rained and rained and rained some more. We live beside a small river that has flooded the entire town a couple of times years ago, so any time the rains come for extended periods, I pay close attention. It has been years since we last had a major flood, and the county has done a lot of work to widen the river and fix any bridges that can cause blockages. Still, when you lay down to go to bed at night, and you can hear the river roaring outside, it can be unsettling. On Sunday the rains eased up for at least a little while, but then the winds started, I had an appointment to have some photographs taken. I am not talking about the ones that you see here today, but some that will be on the blog later this week. I contacted one of my photography friends, she photographed the pictures here, and I asked her about doing a session for me of several outfits. I thought it might be a nice change of pace from me standing on my porch. Lol! We ended up having to reschedule for later because you wouldn’t have known it was me in the pictures. I tried taking a few pics and you couldn’t even see my face for the hair blowing everywhere. Don’t worry if you are a porch fan, I am sure that there will be plenty of times when we can’t have our sessions, just like this weekend, so the porch will still be used. If you saw my Saturday post, then you know that I have been looking back down memory lane in search of green outfits. St. Patrick’s Day is only a couple of weeks away, and I know that you don’t want to be getting pinched. Lol! You must add some green to your wardrobe or you will pay the price. Haha! I am not looking to be mistaken for a Leprechaun, but I would like to find his bucket of gold. Today, I have on a gorgeous spring green jacket from Denim & Co. on QVC. I bought this in 2017, and it is no longer available for purchase. The ones below do all come in this bright spring green, even if the picture doesn’t show it as green.
I tried to get a close-up picture of the ring that I have on today. It is the Sunny (that almost funny right there) ring that has a large pale pink stone and the cutest rhinestone green frog holding the stone. Isn’t he adorable? I added the Alicia necklace of pearls, and a dangling cameo to help finish the look of the outfit. The top has a lot going on with it because of the pattern, but I still think it called for a necklace. I have the Broedrick, the Opal, and a green bracelet that was a special only offered for a short time last year. It won’t be very long until Plunder comes out with a new Spring line, and I am looking forward to the new items. I think that I heard a collective gasp from some of you when you saw these wedge shoes. It was fun to let my toes see the sunshine today, but I doubt if they will get to stick around very long. My beige perforated wedge sandal is from last year and is no longer available, but wedge shoes and perforated shoes are a trend this year. Plus, remember that neutrals are trending this year, so you can’t go wrong with getting yourself a pair of these shoes. See how you like the ones that I found.
I just happened to find the floral pink tank top in my closet, and I thought the small green pattern that ran through it would make the outfit look more put together. I love buying patterned items that have different colors because you have a wide variety to match with. I went to Chicos and found a huge amount of items that I loved (a few are linked) and they have a great sale going on. Here is the link for that. I ordered me about 5 or 6 items, and I would have ordered more, but I am not sure how their clothing fits. This will be my trial phase and I am hoping that the things I ordered will be able to make the blog.
Ever since I started buying products from Rodan + Fields, the prices have been the same. The other day they announced that they would be having a 4% price increase on their products beginning March 1st. I love that they are open about their price increase and that they give you time to place your order for products that you might be wanting before they increase in price. The prices have been rising in other brands, food, gas, and have you looked at the price of milk, etc., but you usually have no warning until you go to make the purchase. If you have been thinking about hopping onboard R+F to start this amazing skin care line, now would be the time to make the plunge especially if you are wanting to purchase a bundle (regimen + lash boost, etc. set) because they are at a 20% discount from buying each item separately. Also, if you purchase as a Preferred Customer, then you will also receive an extra 10% off and free shipping. Message me (fiftyisnotold@gmail.com) for details or questions. I was excited to try the jewelry you model here but alas the necklace arrived broken and the ring was larger even though I ordered my usual size. I would like to exchange these and try again as I like the look. How do I obtain an exchange form? Thanksl
Beautiful spring outfit Tania! I don’t think you have to worry about getting pinched in that outfit, although you may still want Joe to pinch you just a little.(ha ha) I get tickled reading about Joe’s antics; you two are so funny. I shop from the chico’s online outlet a good bit. I like the quality of their clothing and I find that they are true to size. They have cute embellishments on a lot of their items that makes an outfit extra special. The outlet has really good prices too. Yes, it is WET!!! How wet is it you ask? Wellllll, it is soooo wet, I got my car stuck this weekend and had to be pulled out. That didn’t set the best tone for the rest of my day, but at least I was able to get help rather quickly. Have a great week!!!
Love this outfit! Short jackets with such pretty details (the pockets and the cuffs) are hard to find. You are so skilled at accessorizing and you knocked it out of the park today!!! This ensemble definitely puts me in the mood for Spring!
I like what you have done with your hair color too, You always look great and I really look forward to seeing what you will come up next.
you look wonderful in that beautiful spring green jacket & cute top! And you are looking fabulous in those white pants too! It is still WAY too cold here for an outfit like that and we have had ZERO rain! The wind is howling most days here already & it blew 60 mph day before yesterday! I think I saw a cow fly by & I know my patio furniture was topsy-turvy all over the yard. I had to order one of those cute shoes you posted & such a great price too! Thanks! I’m Irish so I LOVE celebrating St. Paddy’s Day so am on the look out for my green outfit!
So pretty and spring looking. Just love outfit. And your shoes rock! We’ve had flooding where I live with power & water outages. Not been fun to say the least. But finally getting back to normal.
I looked at your feet and said what??!! Are those sandals??!! We have winds so high I have hardly slept and it fluctuates between blowing snow and freezing rain. ? You look pretty and ready for spring and I can only hope!
Lol! Janet, I thought the same thing about the sandals when I put them on. My legs are so white that you can’t even tell that I have on shoes, they blend in. Hahaha!
Rain, rain everywhere – but not here in the NW of the UK for the last few days. Instead we are enjoying daytime highs of 17 degrees which is very unusual as at this time of year we get rain or even snow.
Bought my 1st green item this week – a pair of shoes. I thought for a change that I would pull the green out of a dress I have. Not a colour I would usually pick but change is not a bad thing. Have a lovely day. Love – Jill x http://www.stylishatsixty.wordpress.com
Believe it or not, we’ve even been getting our fair share if rain in California too. On the upside the hills are beautiful and green…just like your blazer??. Have a great week!!!
I love getting rain in southern California! It’s the only time everything isn’t brown as far as the eye can see. I’m currently surrounded by snow covered foothills and love it!
I have several ladies tell me that they have been getting rain in California, and they are loving having some for a change. When I was in San Diego a couple of years ago, it was so lush and green…just beautiful!

Linda, I am sorry that you are having trouble. I will email you the return form. It is easy and you shouldn’t have any issue.
LOVE this outfit on you. I like you in tailored clothes the best. You don’t have to hide your body with all that flappy baggy stuff. Just my thoughts.

Lovely outfit, it is so refreshing after so much cold weather….a hint of spring! Also, have you tweeked your hair color? Looks awesome.
I love the bright colors. They look great on you. Where are the white pants from? They look like they fit you well.
Hi Tania, Where did you purchase your white pants. They are so hard to find ones that fit and aren’t too thin/clingy. Thanks! Lisa
Love love love everything single thing in this outfit. You look amazing
Thanks, Laura! I love this green jacket! It just looks like spring to me!!!

Jill, it has been soaking the US the last couple of days. I think a pair of green shoes sounds like FUN!

Debra, the scenery sounds amazing. I know that you all are happy to see the rain.
