HOW TO WEAR CUFFED JEANS WITH ANKLE BOOTS
We had elections here in Virginia yesterday. I don’t know if everyone had elections throughout the US, but we had a lot of local elections here in the county. I could never run for public office; I am too big a coward. There can only be one winner, so someone has to lose. That would kill my soul to think that people didn’t want me. I am not sure how people run for office over and over again, even if they get beat handily. Joe has talked about running for office, but I always do my best to talk him out of that.
Even if you get elected to the position, there is no guarantee that you can accomplish anything. I don’t do politics, but from what I have been able to gather, no one wants to work with anyone else. It seems like it is a big tug of war game going on all the time, and no one is willing to give an inch. I can’t imagine if the job that I was doing would be voted on every four years. I am sure that would change the whole way that you do everything. You would be afraid to make waves because people would bring it up in four years to use it against you. I hate it when people lose, but I hate it when they win also. They have no idea what they have gotten themselves in for. As Joe told one lady, who had just won an election, “remember, you asked for this.” She saw him a couple of years after the election and told him that he had been right. Lol! She hadn’t had any idea what was coming her way.
And, when you read my blog, you have no idea what will be coming your way either. I could be talking about grandchildren one minute, and then elections the next. Lol! Now, we are actually going to move on to fashion. (shock!) I am wearing a paisley print duster today. I found this at a local boutique, and I fell in love with all of the colors. There are reds, purples, greens, yellows, and probably several more colors that I haven’t mentioned. When I find a clothing item with that many colors, my mind starts calculating how many ways that it can be styled. The more colors, the more ways to style. This duster is by L Love, and the only thing I hate about buying boutique clothing is the fact that I can’t find it on the internet. I know you like to have the “exact” item that I am wearing, but I can’t always find the link. Sorry 🙁

Love the outfit, especially the duster. Gonna miss the Old Navy boots though, They look great with everything you wear. Never thought about elected officials that way before, but you are so right. It’s a miracle anything gets done, positive or negative.
LOVE THE SNAKESKIN BOOTIES! and that duster is fine, fine, fine. 🙂
That duster is divine!!
I love this look on you, Tania!
When we moved into our current neighborhood close to 20 years ago and the first HOA board was formed, my very sweet DH wanted to run for it. I’d never heard about anyone not regretting being on an HOA board and I tried to dissuade him. Long story short, it got ugly and he left before his term was up. Just as in national or local politics, egos become inflated and the “power” (kinda laughable when you’re talking about an HOA board but true!) goes to the heads of some. Don’t Do It, Joe!! 😉
