HOW TO WEAR A SWEATER THREE WAYS
What’s new pussycat? Everyone who immediately started singing along with Tom Jones, raise your hand! I must be a part cat because I can’t get enough leopard and cheetah print this year. It doesn’t help the situation that all of the stores keep coming out with such cute items, and I feel like it is my obligation as a blogger to show them ALL to you. Lol!
Today, I wanted to make sure that you got your “animal print” fix, so I am showing you this leopard top worn three ways. These outfits have the same leopard top, but the bottoms, jackets, and shoes are all different. Changing things up is what keeps your wardrobe interesting. Don’t wear the same ole, same ole every time. Try something new and different, and you might even find that a different look becomes your favorite.
Also, just in case showing you three different ways to wear one top wasn’t enough, I am teaming up with two of my close blogging buddies so that they can show you even more looks. It must be your lucky day!!! You will love Suzanne and Beverly; they are sweet southern ladies just like me. Lol! They have impeccable style, and they are gorgeous ladies, so be sure to check them out.
I am 5’6″ tall for sizing references, and I weigh between 150-160 at any given time. I usually wear a size 10 in pants, a size 12 in dresses, and a med/large in tops. I am styling the same pullover leopard print sweater in all of the looks. This top is cotton, so it feels nice to the touch. I love the camel band that frames the sweater, and I think that detail looks great against my pants. I am wearing a large in the sweater, and I think that it fits me perfectly.
These are called The Perfect Black Pant Back Seam Skinny Pants, and I have to say that I kind of agree! These are by SPANX, and that is probably all that I need to say. They hold you in and hug you in all the right places. I think SPANX clothing runs small, so I ordered these pants in a medium and large to be sure to get the right size. Both of the pants fit me, but the large was the one that I ended up keeping.
I’ve been late to jump on the chunky heel dress shoe train. I am still a classic pump wearing girl, but I like how these pointy toe block heel shoes look. I ordered these shoes in a size 9, but I feel like they are a tiny bit big on me, so I need to send them back and try an 8 1/2 instead.
Adding a classic denim jacket to the sweater adds extra warmth, and it also changes the look of the outfit. I have several denim jackets, and I’ll link those for your below. If you don’t already own a denim jacket, do yourself a favor and grab one today. They are a classic item, and you can wear them with anything, even maxi dresses. I usually order a 10 or a large in jackets, especially if I intended to wear them over a sweater.
I decided to see how the sweater would look in a monochromatic style. So, I added these Utility Slim Pants from Chico’s, and I like the outcome. I think the darker pants and jeans look the best, but this is a good look to switch things up. Don’t be afraid to experiment; it isn’t the end of the world when the look isn’t the greatest. I am wearing a size .5 in these pants, and they fit me great.
You know that I love wearing red, and this blazer is a perfect color for me. This notched collar blazer is a wonderful addition to any wardrobe. It comes in several colors, and I am thinking about grabbing the Royal Blue version also since it is on sale for 40% off. I am wearing a medium in the blazer, but I might order the blue one in a large. The red one isn’t too little, but I want to see how the large looks on me.
My slightly distressed jeans are by Wit & Wisdom, and they are a great jean at a fabulous price. These aren’t the cheapest jeans out there, and they definitely aren’t the most expensive ones either, but they are one of the most comfortable. I bet all of you Wit & Wisdom fans will agree with me on that point. These jeans run true to size, and I am wearing my usual size 10 in these. They are limited in sizing, so I’ll link to some similar jeans that I think that you will like.
Distressed roll cuff ankle jeans
I told you that I was a classic pump kind of girl! Pumps are one of my favorite styles of shoes to wear, and I think they can go with anything. They can be dressed up or down, and they always add “class” to everything you wear them with. These pumps are by Michael Kors, and they are several years old. So, I’ll see if I can find you some similar ones currently in the stores.

I am carrying my Vince Camuto Lambskin handbag that I recently purchased. I love this bag, and I think that it looks expensive and luxurious. It has lots of compartments, which is a MUST for me. Put this on your Christmas list since I know that you’ve been a good girl this year, and tell Santa that is on Easy-Pay to make it easier on him.
This Leopard-Print crossbody bag is the perfect size for carrying all of your essentials. I can put my phone, a small wallet, and a few more items in this with ease. I usually carry a LARGE handbag, but a crossbody is great for shopping or traveling so that you don’t have to worry about your bag going missing.
The jewelry that I am wearing in the photos is mostly from Kendra Scott. There is a vintage cross in some photos, but that came from a vintage fashion show years ago. If you are looking for different and unique jewelry, check out eBay or Etsy, but make sure you read all of the descriptions and check out the reviews. My earrings are the Ryder Statement Earrings, and I am wearing the Davis Multi-Chain necklace, which is convertible. I am only wearing two of the three chains that come with this necklace.
I’m curious, which look is your favorite?
Now that I’ve shown you all of my looks, be sure to check out Beverly and Suzanne. Leave them a comment, and don’t forget to tell them that Tania sent you.

THANK YOU FOR THEE IDEAS. I DON’T DO RED, BUT I COULD SO SUBSTITUTE WITH ANOTHER COLOR
I love these looks and have tried several links and they did not work. The black spanx pants did not work. I enjoyed getting to meet the two friends you shared today. Totally different but really liked them.
Penny, I’m not sure why your links aren’t working. They all work for me, and I even tried them on my phone too.
OK, two things! Gurl, you knocked it out of the ballpark with the leopard sweater and the black pants and block heeled shoes. You look fabulous in that outfit, classy and ready to take on the world. Can you tell that is my favorite outfit of the day? Secondly, thank you for showing us so many different outfits and looks each day. Most blogs show one outfit and don’t even link to the items most of the time. You really take an enormous amount of time putting each post together and I really appreciate all your hard work. Thank you and I look forward to the next “fashion show” from the “No. 1 Blogger”!
Thanks so much, Carol! I’m glad that you liked the post. But, here is a warning…tomorrow there is only one outfit. Lol!!!
Love all three, but I’m a sucker for leopard print and red♥️
I am with Team Red too!
I really like all three, but the red Jacket just gives it a pop of color. Thanks for sharing – I’ll add these ideas to my fashion board!
I admit that I am partial to the red jacket too.
Love all the looks, but the one that is most me is the one with the denim jacket.
A denim jacket can go with everything!
It is great to see the same sweater styled different ways. I get in a rut and wear the same things together all the time, so this is very helpful. I think I would wear all of these, but #3 with mules or loafers would be my top pick. #2 is a close second for me. Love the jeans jacket with the sweater!
I used to get in ruts all of the time. When you take a photo every day and show people, you get good at changing things up. Lol!
Looking fab as usual!! Love the way you are showing different outfit options! I’m a “several outfit” junkie lol!! Thanks for partnering up and I will talk with you soon!! XOXO
I love partnering up with you, Beverly.
I’m a sucker for a blazer and jeans combo, so it’s going to have to be look #3, for me!
I like a blazer and jean combo too, especially with heels.
I absolutely love all 3 looks but the last one with the dark jeans and red is my most favorite. 💕💕💕
The red just makes that outfit pop!!!
Yep! I totally agree!
My favourite is the second look with tan utility pants!
I love the denim jacket, it goes with almost everything.
I love this post! I like how you show different ideas for one piece of clothing! Helps me to think broader and expand my wardrobe with the same clothes.
There are plenty of ways to wear this sweater, you just need to experiment.
I like the sweater with the tan utility pants the best, however, all your choices look good!
I love those pants. They are a great neutral and will go with lots of things.
Oh goodness, girl! You look great in all three styles. I love them all, but that red pops and looks so classy and I love those black blocked heels. Thanks so much for partnering up today and sharing your audience. Have a great weekend, my friend!
You looked great in your outfit, and I loved partnering up with you today!
I like the outfit with the red jacket. The pop of color is spot on.
I love the red and how it pops against the sweater.
