We are at T-Minus for 3 more days until 2021. Are you as excited as I am to see a brand new year roll around? I have to admit that I am always excited to see a new year since it is like starting out fresh. You have a whole new year in front of you, and you can choose to continue the same path that you’ve been on or change things up and see where that direction leads.

Making a long-term commitment is harder than short-term ones. So, I am going to do several short-term commitments and see how that goes. Some of the areas that I want to see improvement in are in organization, exercise, eating habits, work schedule, and a few more that I am still trying to get more specific with. I have several planners, but unless I use them, they don’t help me get more organized. I have an elliptical machine and a treadmill, but they are useless unless I get on them. You get the idea; it is a lack of products; it is a lack of mindset. The area between our ears can determine whether or not we succeed with our goals. Grab an accountability person, or maybe one for each area you are working on, and check-in with them daily. That helps out tremendously.

Simple, classic, and elegant is how I would describe today’s look. You can’t get much simpler than a sweater and a pair of pants. This is the simple and classic part; as for the elegant part, that would be because the turtleneck sweater is cashmere. Also, the gold jewelry looks super elegant against the black background of the sweater. I think black and gold are a super classy and luxurious look. I just finished redoing my bathroom, and I bought vanities and changed the hardware pulls to gold. I love the finished look.

The sweater is super soft and fits like a dream. I am wearing a medium, and it doesn’t show any of my lumps or bumps. The sweater is also under $80.00! These are basic items that you can wear all fall and winter, and the fact that they are cashmere is a major plus! You will feel special every time that you wear them.

I sent out a BONUS post on Saturday, and if you haven’t already looked at that post, here is the link. It has LOTS and LOTS of items on sale, and you shouldn’t pass up the 29.99 sweaters that I linked to.

These sweaters are long enough to be worn with leggings also. I think that this sweater would look gorgeous with a pair of leggings and knee boots. The sweater has a nice side slit so that there is no tugging when you walk or sit down.

The v-neck cashmere sweater that I wore in this photo is also on sale for under $50.00. I like both of these styles, and I ordered a couple of the colors in this one also. I love wearing soft sweaters, and these are lightweight and cozy. Plus, since I don’t have an arm and a leg tied up in these, I won’t freak out if I drop something on one or rip a hole in it. I won’t be happy, but it isn’t like I paid hundreds of dollars for it. I am wearing the medium in this sweater also.

I love this shade of brown; it is called Portobello. It is a perfect neutral shade, and it goes with so much that you can wear these all of the time. These stretch corduroy straight-leg pants are comfortable, and they are comfortable to wear. I love wearing them with boots or booties, but they also look great with high heels and flats. They are a very versatile pair of pants. I am wearing a size 8 in these because I have to size down in Talbots pants. They come in a lot of other colors, so grab a pair for your fall and winter wardrobe. I am seriously considering the deep moss and burnt copper since I think they will look good with several things in my closet.

The Marc Fisher Oshay ankle boots are a pair that I bought during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale back in August. This is the Cloud Suede color, and I wear these boots all of the time. I love the pointed toe and the chunky heel, which keeps the boots stable as you walk in them. I bought my usual size 9 in the boots, and they fit me perfectly. They are on sale right now for the same price that I paid for them back in August. That is a sweet deal!!!

I think that the gold jewelry stands out and makes a huge impact on this outfit. It takes it up several notches and adds the look of elegance that would be missing otherwise. From top to bottom, here are the items that I am wearing. My earrings are the Statement Multi-Chain Ryder earrings in gold, and they are on a FINAL SALE. The short Elisa necklace is a gold vermeil monogrammed pendant necklace with TANIA inscribed on it. The longer necklace is actually the Beckett gold link necklace and the Beckett gold link bracelet put together. I love this set, and I put the two together to get the longer length on the necklace that I wanted. I am wearing the Maggie filigree bangle bracelet that you see me wearing all of the time.

Kendra Scott is having a huge sale on over 200 items. The savings are up to 70%, with additional savings available. Here are a few of the items that I own that I saw were on sale.

I don’t think that this outfit needs anything more, but I decided to add a plaid scarf/wrap to the look. Where I live, we have fairly mild weather, but I like adding a scarf for added warmth when it gets cooler. This scarf is one that I’ve had for a while, and I bought it at TJ Maxx. I did find some similar scarves that I will link to below.

  4. Hi Tania- live the cashmere sweaters and think they are a great deal.
I tried the R&D order and nothing comes up in the cart that shows your name fir the offers. Can you tell me how that works so you get credit?

    1. Good morning, Penny! I love cashmere sweaters also, and these are at a GREAT price. With RF, the link that I put in the blog post just goes to the RF page, not a particular product. Because this is MY website with RF, I will get credit for the purchase. You should see my name at the top of the page, probably to the left. 1. For me a life changer in getting up and get things done is the flylady principle. The magic if a shiny sink, small routines and 15 minute declutter.

        1. I was just reading about flylady right this minute. Lol!!!
