I have nothing to talk about today. I know that might come as a shock to some of you, but my mind is completely at a loss. So, since I can’t think of anything to tell YOU, instead, how about YOU tell ME something. Hmmm, what do I want to know? I want to know where you are from. I think it is interesting to see who sees and reads my blog. How far is the reach, and how did you find this blog?

What keeps you coming back day after day? Is the fashion, the bargains, the stories, the Sunday posts, etc.? I am always looking for ways to improve and upgrade the blog, so now is your chance to weigh in on the topic. What would you like to see more of? More casual, more workwear, more dresses, more flats, more shots from the back, more how-to articles or tips and tricks??? So, let’s hear what you are looking for in 2021.

As for me, I am looking to grow the blog. So, I ask that every single person reading this tell ONE person about my blog that you think would love it. If everyone did that, the traffic to the blog would DOUBLE. WOW! What if you told TWO? My mind is BLOWN!!!

I am partial to an argyle print. I love this classic print, and I am drawn to it each time that I see it. I have an old argyle sweater set in navy and white that I can’t part with even though it is a little too small for me. I keep holding on to it, thinking that I might eventually be able to wear it again.

This drop shoulder argyle sweater is a gorgeous combination of neutrals. I love the muted taupe and grays mixed with a small amount of ivory. The neckline, cuffs, and hem all have a nice wide ribbing, and the sweater is very soft and cozy. It has a tiny amount of Alpaca, so you get that fuzzy softness. This sweater has a relaxed fit, and I am wearing a medium which fits great. This is a cropped length, so it is best to wear this sweater with high waist jeans or pants.

I found this photo from when I wore that argyle sweater set when I first started blogging. This is circa December 2015, so this is definitely an “oldie” but a goodie.

You are not having deja vu. These are NOT the same pants that were on the blog yesterday, although they are extremely similar. These high waist skinny corduroy pants are from Loft, and they are in the color Essential Taupe. This is a fabulous neutral color that can be worn with anything. I love how these pants fit; they are very stretchy and comfortable. The website said that they ran slightly small, but I am wearing my usual size 30 (10), and they fit me perfectly.

I have a pair of knee boots that I bought last year and wear all of the time. The last time that I wore them, someone mentioned that there was a similar pair at Target. So, I decided to order them in and show you the difference. These are a nice pair of boots and will get you a very similar look, but at a fraction of the cost. These boots are on sale for $19.99, and for that price, they are excellent. I did find that the calves were very tight, and I had a hard time getting my pants to stay down when I pulled the boot on. Also, the material is not leather, so that is a big difference in the pricing. I am wearing a size 9 in the boots, and they fit great.

I love the easy relaxed vibe of this turtleneck tunic sweater. The hi-lo tunic style is great to wear with jeans, pants, or leggings, which fits like a dream. It runs a tad large, so the medium fits me perfectly and doesn’t show any lumps or bumps. The turtleneck is nice and high, but it does not fit tight or binding. The extra-large ribbing at the hem, the cuffs, and the neckline gives the sweater a finished and polished look. This color blue is already sold out, but the black would be amazing, and there are a couple more shades available. The sweater is also an extra 60% off with the code WOW.

I thought you might like to see how long the sweater is from the rear. This shows the deep slits are the sides, which allows for sitting and walking with ease.

These snakeskin high heeled knee boots are very fashionable and very affordable. If you are like me, those words are like music to your ears. These boots are also from Target, and they are also $19.99! When I walked through the house wearing these boots, Joe immediately perked up and said how nice they looked. I changed later into something else for a different photo, and he said, “awww, where’s my snakeskin boots?” Lol! I gather he approved of the boots. Anyway, I found the calf size to be a little bigger in these boots that the Taupe pair above. I am also wearing my usual size 9 in the boots, and they fit perfectly.

The Jack multi-strand necklace and the Ryder Statement earrings are still on sale. I love this necklace because it takes care of the layering look for you. I actually have this necklace turned around backward, and it shows the solid gold back instead of the front, which has multi-colored crystals. This makes the necklace very versatile, and I will wear it all year long and for any occasion.

Several of you messaged me yesterday about Rodan and Fields and why I love this brand. So, let me explain how I came to love this brand so much. I had tried lots of different skincare in my 50+ years, and I NEVER found anything that gave me the WOW factor. Then, I tried R+F and was blown away. I decided to give R+F a chance since I was aware there was a 60-day money-back guarantee. I knew that I wasn’t wasting my money, which gave me the confidence to check it out. After the first regimen was finished, I could “see” a visible change, so I became a consultant to get the product’s best prices. But I didn’t mention it to anyone, but people started “seeing” the change in my face also. After multiple people asked, “what are you doing different? You’re glowing!” I figured out it was the skincare.

I turn down lots and lots and lots of sponsored posts with skincare because I want to be truthful about what I use and what I like. I don’t want to bother you by constantly posting about my skincare since you might love what you are using. However, for those who are like me and not blown away by the results that you’ve been seeing, give R+F a chance. You have nothing to lose since the products and results are guaranteed.

I have TWO specials that will run until the end of the year. These specials are for NEW Preferred Customers only. I think that everyone needs to start with a full regimen, so everyone who orders one of our FOUR core regimens (Redefine, Reverse, Soothe, or UnBlemish) will be gifted a FREE Redefine Multi-Function Eye Cream from ME! That is a saving worth $70.00!!! The second special is on Lash Boost. For NEW Preferred Customers only, purchase Lash Boost and get a 39.00 refund from ME!

To place an order as a new preferred customer, go HERE and put your products in your cart. If you are unsure about which regimen you need, then take the Solutions Tool first to see what is recommended. The only thing that I would suggest is, if you have sensitive skin, list that first. I don’t want you getting a product that might irritate your skin. Go to checkout and click the box JOIN PC PERKS. You will get 10% off of the retail price and FREE shipping, plus qualify for my FREE product gift or reimbursement. Then, fill out the billing and shipping information and click SUBMIT ORDER. Feel free to contact me with any questions that you may have.

I live near Vancouver, Canada, about one hour from the US border. When the borders are open my daughter and I do a monthly shop to Target and Trader Joe’s. We also do a lot of online shopping and have the items shipped to a US site, which allows us to buy everything from the states – we MISS it so much.
I first found you on Pinterest about 3 years ago. I was looking for fashions over 50 as I was working at the time. I am now retired and love all your casual looks. We’re about the same size, height and age, and we both have some funny stories about our husbands.
Keep doing what you’re doing, it’s the only blog I regularly follow.
I wish you and your family a very prosperous and Happy New Year!

  2. Hi there-I live in the Bay Area of California. I saw your blog on Pinterest. I enjoy reading your blog because I want to try clothing & shoes from different merchants. I tend to shop on line from Nordstrom. I often have to return clothes from other vendors as the fit seems to be off. For 2021, I’m sticking with solid colors. Patterns only in shoes & scarfs. More neutral colors in black, grey, navy, and cream. Always appreciate your tips. Thanks.

  3. Hi Tanya, I’m from Binghamton, NY. I believe I came across your post on FB this year. As I increase in age, I want to look fashionable and felt I needed help. I LOVE your blog!! You show many combinations of outfits that are inspiring. I appreciate that you are $ conscientious and show name brands as well as items from Walmart and Target. I also like that your blog is easy to navigate and you include links to shop what you model. The verses you put at the end are like a warm hug. Thank you Tanya, for sharing your genuine stories and part of yourself. I look forward to seeing your post every day🙂

  4. Hello! I live in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. I discovered your blog a couple years ago when looking for over 50 fashion ideas. You are so motivating… I have been inspired to try new things and not be afraid of failure or what other people think.

  5. I live in the tiny town of Heron Montana (western part) on 160 acres in the middle of nowhere. I found your blog through either Jo-Lynne or Cyndi S. I love that you are a believer and show appropriate and classy outfits that help me feel confident. I am 40 and love your classic style and sense of humor! Your blog takes me away from the remote life I lead and I pretend I live in a city and actually have a place to go 🙂

I live in western Montana. I read your blog every morning before getting out of bed; you are my Inspiration for getting dressed!!
I love the diversity of outfits- everything from very dressy (which I don’t do often but still need to know how to) to casual, it’s the little things that you’ve shown us how/what to add to out outfits that set up apart from everyone else. I look forward to your email post everyday. Thank you!
    XO

  7. I forgot to post yesterday. I am from a small town in Northern California, Ukiah. We are 2 hours North of San Francisco.

  8. I live in Texas and found you on Pinterest searching for fashion in your 50s. I love your stories and faith mixed in with the daily fashion posts. I still need ideas for business wear (no jeans) but am often able to adapt what you post to dress pants or skirts.

  9. I’m from Florida but live in eastern NC. I discovered your blog on Pinterest and have been hooked since. Love your blog and look forward to it every day. You have been such an inspiration to me. Keep up the great work!

  10. I’m from South Dakota and I don’t remember how I found your blog.

I enjoy your stories about your family! As for fashion, I work in a facility where I don’t have to dress up at all so I enjoy the very casual looks you show. Of course, I live where it can get pretty darn cold so it is fun to see you post clothes for warmer parts of the country but also turlenecks and sweaters too.

Thank you, too, for the faith posts on Sunday. Sharing our faith in God is important.
