HOW TO STYLE A NAUTICAL THEMED OUTFIT

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a light Jade sweater with a striped scarf with navy wide leg pants. Happy Galentine’s Day!!! My plans for Galentine’s Day is involving going to work at the lumber company for several hours, but at least I am getting out of the house. It is still raining here, and it is taking an act of congress to get me to leave the house. Lol! I am starting to act like the witch that will melt if she gets wet, “Help me, I am melting!” Hahaha!
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a light Jade sweater with a striped silk scarf with navy wide leg pants. I couldn’t wait to bring this look to you gurls. If you starting hearing the song, “Come Sail Away With Me,” in a minute, it is because of my nautical themed outfit. I have noticed that a lot of the items that I showed you over the past two days have already sold out, or have gotten very limited in sizes. So, I am trying to get the items styled as soon as I can so that you will have an idea on how to wear them. This was one of my favorite looks, so I wanted to start with it first.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a light Jade sweater with a striped silk scarf This pale jade sweater is so adorable and perfect for spring. I love the attached striped scarf that is a detail that sets it apart from other sweaters. The sweater has ribbing at the cuffs and hem, and it has a crew neckline. I love the 3/4 length sleeve because I think that is a flattering length.

The scarf is silk, and it is removable, but there would be two tiny slits where it threads through. The website says that the sweater is machine washable, but the tag says that it is dry clean only. That might be because of the silk scarf. I am wearing a size medium which fits me perfectly. I am 5’6″ tall and 155 pounds, plus or minus 5 pounds on any given day. Lol! Here is the link to the sweater.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a Jade sweater with a striped silk scarf Here is an up-close look at the silk scarf. It is white and a deep blue/black color. It looked black in the house, but in the sun it seems bluer. The Meadow earrings and vintage black and white bracelet are two items that I had in my drawer. I wanted to highlight the stripes in the scarf by adding accessories that had lines also.  I didn’t add a necklace because I wanted the scarf to get all of the attention.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a soft Jade sweater and a striped scarf with a striped belt on navy pants I showed you these pants in yesterday’s post (here), but this is a better view of the top of the pants. This stretchy striped belt comes with the pants, and it has a silver closure.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a Jade sweater with a striped scarf with navy wide leg pants. The navy crepe pants have a full leg style and a 32″ inseam. However, these seem longer to me than other pants that I have bought with that inseam. I am wearing my usual size 10, but they are a tiny bit big around the tummy area, but they seem to fit me well around the waist.

These pants can be dressed up with heels, or they can be worn in a casual style like I am doing today. To wear these with flats, I would need to have them hemmed a couple of inches. The website says that the pants are machine washable and tumble dry on low. Here is the link to the pants.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old wearing a light Jade sweater with a striped scarf with navy wide leg pants and sneakers The Sperry linen sneakers are too cute, and they will be a staple this spring and summer. I like that they have fixed leather laces to keep you from having to tie them. Instead, all you have to do is pull them on and go. I made a mistake and ordered a 1/2 size larger than I usually wear. The sneakers are way too big for me, and I am going to have to send them back for another size. These sneakers also come in navy if you are concerned about keeping the white pair clean. Here is the link to the shoes.

I love that sweater top. The colors and the style both are fantastic. I am always on the lookout for navy blue things or things to go with navy blue.

Debra, I love your comment!!! Lol! I am doing the Delay, Don’t Deny system by Gin Stephens. I ordered it from Amazon. I pretty much eat anything that I want, but I try to only eat between the hours of 2-7 pm.

The soft jade is not normally a color that I would pick, but the addition of the scarf swayed me.

Ckever sweater. . I just bought a jade sweater and a webbed belt that looks nautical. I was going to wear it with my white jeans this spring but navy looks so good. And the idea of a scarf tied on the side, guess I’ll have to pin it on, just sounds so great, you have the best ideas. You look great in this outfit,
