HOW TO LAYER WITH EASE
Have you ever thought that you need a clone of yourself? I know in the cartoons and sci-fi movies that it never works out and there are usually problems but I sure would like to have two of me on some days. Some of the time it is not because I have so much work to do that I need two of me, instead, it is that I want to do two things at once that is fun. Lol! This is happening to me tonight.
It is nothing major but I still want to do two things at once and there just isn’t a way to make that happen. We have a team training call that is ALWAYS scheduled for Wednesday night at 9:00 pm. There have been times when I have had to miss the call but this week I have to help with the call so I can’t miss it. At the very same time, there is going to be another call that I would like to listen to in order to get some information. I literally can’t do both so my priority is to the team. This was the way it was when Ashleigh and Joseph both had ballgames on the same night but in different cities. Joe would have to go with one and I would go with the other. I wonder if I can get him to listen to the other call and take notes. Lol!! You have no idea how FUNNY that really is. Hahahahahahahaha!
This was a super cute top that I got in this month’s Trunk Club shipment but in the end, I decided not to keep it. It is a mix media type top which means that it had the white undershirt built into the top. My DIL is great at wearing shirts like this, she will take the kid’s summer clothing and add a turtleneck or button-down shirt under the top and it looks so cute. I forget about doing this or I feel like I have a big bump under the shirt from the buttons. A top like this with it built in takes the guesswork out of the equation and there are NO bumps. There might be one or two bumps but since those are from my fat rolls I don’t think that I can fix that easily. Anyway, even though this shirt was in a current shipment it must have already sold out but I found a few similar ones for you.
I really appreciate all of the shares and the pins of my outfits that you have been doing. PLEASE continue to do that, you won’t believe the difference it has made in my number of visitors to my blog.

Clean, crisp look. I love platform shoes. I get the height without all my weight on the balls of my feet. 🙂
I love the fringed hem white jeans -it gives them a casual look not so dressy. Not feeling the blousy sleeves- i carry my weight in the midsection and don’t need any extra poof there!
Don’t care for short tops
I have a pair of the white jeans like that, I absolutely love them. I purchased my pair from Talbots . I love the outfit!!!!
Hi. Free People jeans are pricey but they are nice and last a long time. I’m not a fan of the fringed hem but if it they were hemmed I’d wear them. Nice look and you are making me want warm weather. It’s 36 with flurries here today. ☹️
I can tell you live somewhere warm because of the bare feet! I’m a Michigander which is currently under several inches of snow though I am safely in North Carolina for the time! Lucky me! I love the ties on your sleeves. They are doing so many fun things with sleeves lately!

I like the top, the pants, not so much. But, the put-together look looks great! BTW, have your husband tape the call, if it’s not too long…… ?
I like the pants, not sure about the top. Not a fan of platform shoes, I am too clumsy to walk in them! I hope the drawing winner Teresa is ME! That would make my day!
Walking is my issue too. No, unfortunately, it was a Theresa with an “H” but I misspelled it in the post.
I’m another one who dislikes (hates actually!) the too short , fringed pants. Don’t care if they are on trend I don’t think I’ll be wearing them.
Love the blue and white but i always feel the layer look makes mme look chuncky. I understand the rolls too lol! Tania you need to add your handbags to your outfits thats what i look forward to. Have a grest dsy!
That is one of the good things about items that have the layering built in, there is no added bulk. I chuckled about the handbag because I had been getting some requests to style outfits without them. They thought they were distracting. Lol!!!
I love this outfit for spring! . This may sound weird, but I’d love to see a side view of those pants! Do they flare out a bit? I like the fringe hem and the length. I have a pair of the raw hem jeans and they’re really cute but the leg is straight then they flare right at the bottom and I’m not sure if I like that or not! maybe just something to get used to?
Angie, get used to the flare because it is coming hard and fast. I wasn’t a fan either but it is starting to grow on me. It will be everywhere this spring and summer.
I just can’t bring myself to wear the fringed hem pants. I also don’t like mix media tops because of the maintenance. Probably a good move that you sent it back. The few that I have owned didn’t launder well. I would take them to the dry cleaners to keep the white crisp. You look great and I do love the shoes!
Sandy, it is funny how we are all different. I love the fringe hems and you don’t. I am on the fence about the tops but you don’t care for them. You love the shoes and I don’t. Lol!!!
I love this outfit! It looks summery!
Exactly, Ramona! I am ushering in Spring!
Love layered looks & this looks great on you….the white pants are totally worth a small splurge! Super cute!
I couldn’t help myself! I fell in love immediately!
Love the blue and white! It looks crisp and has a nautical vibe..add a red purse.. how perfect! Best…Kathy
You are right, Kathy, it does look crisp!
