HOW TO DRESS IN A COMFORTABLE AND COZY FASHION

Do you know what they say about the best-laid plans? Well, I had every intention of today’s post being a Thursday Try-On post since I didn’t get to do a try-on post on Tuesday. I got the clothing yesterday, but it was already raining outside when I woke up, and the forecast said it would rain all day long. I thought that I was prepared for this scenario since I had ordered a “studio light kit.” The kit had three different lights to help brighten up my office, and I rearranged the furniture so that I could take my photos there.

After a lot of trial and error, I was finally satisfied with the lighting, and I took photos of all of the clothing. After I was finished, I uploaded the photos to Lightroom to adjust and crop the photos. That was when I could see that the photo quality was CRAP. Even though I had all of the extra lights in the room, the photos were grainy and not at all sharp. I tried and tried to make the photos sufficient so that I use them. But, after spending a ton of time on the photos, I finally gave up and will have to take more pictures tomorrow.

These photos were last month, and they were the only photos that I had available. Whew! I am so glad that I had forgotten about these and that they were still on my camera. This v-neck tank top is from Chico’s, and I have shown you lots of other colors in the top. I ordered every color that they had in my size because I love how they fit and feel. A tank top is perfect for wearing under sweaters, blazers, and jackets because you never have to worry about the sleeves bunching up. I am wearing a size 1 in this tank, and it fits me perfectly. This Vince Camuto crossbody handbag is a great neutral bag. I love the peek-a-boo black bottom that gives it a unique detail. This size bag will carry everything that I need, including my phone, wallet, keys, sunglasses, and lipstick, plus still have a little room for a couple of other small things. A crossbody bag is great for shopping, yard sales, exploring a new city, etc. since they help keep your belongings safe. The color that I am carrying is called Seashell, but the bag comes in three other colors.

You might have heard me say that a Barefoot Dreams sweater was worth the purchase the other day. Here is another one that I bought during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and I LOVE it!!! Would I have bought the sweater if it wasn’t on sale? Maybe not, but now that I’ve got one, I’ll be watching for those sales and taking advantage of them from now on. This circle, or cocoon cardigan, is very cozy and long enough to wear with leggings. I am wearing a medium, and that size is great for me. The color that I am wearing is blue, and this also comes in pearl and charcoal.

Have you tried the “jogger” style pant yet? I’ve seen other bloggers style these, and they look adorable in them. So, I thought that I would try a pair since I am always preaching about being open-minded when it comes to fashion. Since I love the Kut From the Kloth brand, I decided to try this khaki pair. I also love the subtle stripe detail on the pants, and I thought that set them apart from other pants that I have seen before. I ordered my normal size 10, and they fit me great.

In case you were wondering about my necklace, it was from Chico’s but it is sold out. However, you really need to check out Chico’s jewelry because it is gorgeous and they have some amazing statement piece.
