FIVE FALL OUTFITS FROM ONE PAIR OF WHITE PANTS
Just the other day, I had someone ask if they could wear white after Labor Day. I think that they were going to a class reunion, and a pair of white pants was their choice, but they were hesitant about wearing them. I get it; the first time I wore white after Labor Day, I expected the fashion police to come knocking on my door. But, today, I will show you five fall outfits from one pair of white pants.
These white high-rise flare jeans are pretty darn nice! I loved everything about these jeans, and they are hanging in my closet right now. I had been looking for a pair of flare white jeans that didn’t cost an arm and a leg, and this is precisely what I was looking for.
These jeans are long, but thankfully, they don’t drag the ground. With white jeans, dragging the ground would be a nightmare! These jeans are under $60, which isn’t horrible for a pair of jeans. I am wearing my usual size 30, and they fit me like a glove!
The sweater and handbag (sold out) look summery, so they are a great transition outfit. You want something to fill the gap, but you also want to keep warm on the cool days. So, a long sleeve, lightweight sweater is just the ticket.
Have you seen anything any cuter than this ruffled cardigan? This is so feminine, and even though there are a lot of ruffles, it isn’t too much. The look is soft and subtle but very feminine and flirty. The desert rose color is gorgeous, and I have loved all of the pinks in the stores this fall. The sweater also comes in slate which looks blue/gray to me. The sweater is sold out, but here is one that is similar.
This outfit is a little more fall-looking. The off the shoulder animal print top is lightweight, very soft, and unfortunately, it is sold out. This top can be pulled off the shoulder, but I prefer having the wide neck centered instead. The top does run a tad big, so I ordered a medium that fits excellent. Here is a somewhat similar top that might give you the look you want.
I know that you can’t see, but I am wearing a pair of tan suede block heel booties. Wearing boots and booties is one of my favorite things about fall. Lol! It is funny because Joe is not a big fan of me tucking my jeans inside knee boots, but he will just have to get over that. I am wearing my usual size 9 in the boots, and they seem to fit TTS.
Camel and white is a favorite color combination of mine! It is classic and chic looking, and you can wear this combination all year round.
I don’t know why I am wearing sunglasses in the house. I must have thought that I was going outside to take photos, but obviously, I didn’t. The sunglasses are an old pair from Lilly Pulitzer that was a gift from my Energizer Bunny Friend. The website has several pairs that look almost identical, but the name is different than the pair I have. I also like Lilly sunglasses because you can get them in readers and blue light glasses, and they actually have a style about them!
I think that gold jewelry looks great with camel, so I wore my Layton statement necklace from Kendra Scott. This gold necklace is on sale for around $50 off. I am also wearing my AVI large hoop earring (silver version on sale under $40) and my 18kt gold vermeil cross necklace that I wear daily.
The balloon sleeve camel sweater runs big, and I made the mistake of ordering a large. I am kicking myself in the rear because the sweater is all sold out! UGH! However, here is one very similar, so I think that I might try that one.
This cheetah print cardigan might look familiar to you. I wore this cardigan and v-neck black tee earlier, but I paired it with black pants. Be sure to look back at the post because you will find that the white pants look better than the black ones did.
The Cheetah Print Cardigan and Black V-Neck Tee “pop” against the white jeans, and they make more of a statement. I loved them with the black pants until I saw them with the white, and I was shocked at the difference.
I am wearing a medium in the cardigan, and I think that I am wearing a large in the black tee. I am wearing a pair of black pumps that I’ve had for years, but I’ll link to some similar ones for you.
Finally, I styled the white flare jeans with a classic navy and white striped sweater. This one had buttons on the shoulders for a little unique detail. I liked this sweater, but I didn’t love it. I found the fit boxy, and I don’t need any extra girth around my waistline. So, this went back to the store, and it is completely sold out now. But, I did find one on Amazon that is similar, and it even has buttons on the shoulders.
I will tell you that I am wearing my silvertone AVI large hoop earrings. I told you that I loved those earrings, and I bought them in gold and silver!
I hope you liked this post and that you can see yourself wearing white after Labor Day. Which outfit was your favorite?

Very very classy Tania!
Love your fashion sense but would love a home tour. Looks gorgeous. Or take pics in other rooms?
This is such a great post for October, combining white jeans with sweaters. You look fantastic and I now have some great outfit ideas. You look amazing and those flare jeans are so attractive on you. Great silhouette!
I love all the outfits and so glad you featured white pants for fall! I think my fave was the cheetah print!
Love white pants, I have 2 pair and wear them year round. My favorite was black t-shirt with cheetah cardigan. Keep up the great work!!
I always feel “funny” wearing white pants after Labor Day. I guess that was so ingrained in us from way back when! Old habits die hard!
All your looks are great! I love the pink best on you, followed by the leopard top and the cheetah sweater. So pretty with the white pants over the black, you’re right about that!
Going out to dinner tonight. I’m inspired, thanks to you, to wear my white jeans!
Nancy, I am so proud of you for stepping outside your comfort zone! Send me a photo of you in your white jeans!
I like all five of your tops with the white pants! I have tried numerous brands of white jeans/pants but all of the, made my thick backside look even thicker. That is not a goal of mine, so white pants aren’t something I own.
I love that you are proving you can wear white after Labor Day! Yes, the white pants look so much better than the black pants from your prior posts! All five are great outfits I would be proud to wear!
Absolutely LOVE the cheetah print cardigan! I wish I could order from Kohl’s here in Canada ☹️
WOW!!! 5 beautiful outfits today! You really brought it girl! Love your column!
I’m new to reading your posts as of this week and I have certainly enjoyed them. Lots of useful information and today is no different. You have me thinking about white jeans in cooler weather because of the camel and cheetah combinations.
Welcome!!! I am so glad that you found the blog, and that you are enjoying them.
Those white jeans look fantastic on you! I would like to see more from Penneys and Walmart. Thanks!
I’ve been trying to incorporate more Penneys, Kohl’s, Walmart, and Target.
Love the white after Labor DAY !! YAY !!
I am so glad that you enjoyed the post.
Thank you for all the ideas. I live in the South and we are having highs In the eighties still! I can’t wait for fall. I can attest to I am wearing white! White just seems cooler. I work in clothing and my clients are most definitely wearing white and also buying white jeans. I love your posts and your faith.
I love wearing white all year round, but I know that some people just can’t bring themselves to try.
Love your looks today! Where can I get that calf hair clutch you’re carrying in the look with the tan sweater? I didn’t see any info.
Kim, I carried that same clutch in yesterday’s post, so that is why I didn’t mention it again. Here is that post where you can find the details. https://50isnotold.com/jeans-and-cowboy-boots-are-a-perfect-fall-style/
