Fashion Shoot With Friends, Part 2
Sandy is not shy! Just in case you hadn’t already noticed. Haha She always has a smile on her face, and is very outgoing. When she came to the house on Saturday, she thought we had decided to wait and take pictures on Sunday. But, since the forecast was for torrential downpours on Sunday, we went ahead and set up the fashion shoot.
After we went took pictures, we went shopping about 30 miles from my house. We stopped at our first store and bought a ton of things. Sandy and Bertha had already paid and gone to the car, while I was paying for my items. As I was paying I noticed a beautiful necklace laying on the counter and asked if it was for sale. She said no, that she had just bought it at a craft fair in town that morning. CRAFT FAIR!!! I paid quickly and told the gurls. It took us all of 5 minutes to get there and go inside. Did I mention it was at the police station? Sandy decides to get out her phone and “check us in” on FaceBook. The caption read: Sandy, Bertha, and Tania all checked in to the Police Dept. It didn’t take long for all our phones to start pinging. Why, where, what did you do, do you need bail? At least they were offering bail. Haha
I told you Sandy is always smiling and laughing. She has a laugh like no one else’s. When we travel together, if we get separated in a store, you just have to stand still and listen. You will be able to find her in no time. She almost never has a picture made without a huge smile:)
You might have noticed that she bought a pink leather Vera handbag too. Hers is actually a size larger than mine. This thing is Le Grande size! Haha Here are two purses that are similar, and similar. Today my sister-in-law came to town and we went to the QVC store. She bought a hot pink patent leather Dooney & Bourke that was adorable. Pink is such a great color for spring and summer. Here is a similar pink patent leather purse for only 59.00.
These leggings are cute and colorful. I think she got them at Cato’s, but they are not on their site, so I can’t be sure. Here is a similar pair of leggings. I know she bought the necklace at Cato’s quite a while age. It goes with just about everything. Here are a couple different seed-bead necklaces. Mulit seed-bead necklace in green, a short one in blues, and a fringe style multi-colored one.
The cobalt blue top is from Cato’s, and it is actually still on their site. I love this color, and it will be a top you will be able to wear all spring. Here is the link to the top. She is also wearing her By The Book bracelets. Sandy’s mother is our sunday school teacher, and this sunday as she was going over our lesson, she mentioned the verse Jeremiah 29:11. That is one of my favorite verses from the Bible, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” I happened to have a bracelet in my purse with that verse on it. I had ordered it before Christmas, but it had just gotten in, so I gave it to her as a small thank you for being our teacher.
Did I mention Sandy is not shy??? We have such a blast when we travel. We laugh and act crazy all the time. Bertha has even been know to sing, “Yippee Ki Yay, Yippee Ki Yo”, at the top of her lungs. Of course this might be after a glass or two of wine. LOL! I am truly blessed to have these two as my besties.
I love that Bertha and Sandy have joined me on my blog journey. I intend to have them appear on a regular basis. Thank you gurls, for welcoming them with open arms!
