ENJOYING THE SCREENED IN PORCH FOR A CASUAL FRIDAY

I have gotten where I love to sit on our screened-in porch every afternoon. I’ll take my laptop, turn on the ceiling fan, and then sit back to write my daily post. I have a large set of wind chimes that play gorgeous sounds when the evening winds kick up. Plus, we have a fountain on the back patio, and the water bubbling adds more melody.

I’m surprised I ever get a post written because I’ll find myself being lulled to sleep. Between the setting sun, the wind on my face, and the water and chimes, it is a struggle to stay awake. Joe told me the other day that he was surprised how much he liked the porch and patio. He doesn’t like heat, so I bet he will love it even more this fall.

Several of you have noticed that I changed my email signup form and had this outfit on it. You’ve been asking for the details, so I decided to share them with you today. I did a post a couple of days ago with a Jungle Print Tie-Front Top, and this Open-Front Duster is in the same print. I love the tropical vibe of the duster, and I think it looks great with the white jeans. Did you notice the adjustable ruched sleeve detail?

Here is the view from the back so you can see the midi-length of the duster. This duster is so cute, and it would look great over a solid-colored dress or with a pair of jeans. Here are a few dresses I think would look great with the duster.

I wanted to play up the green in the duster, so I paired it with this Scoop Neck Microfiber Top. Of course, the green color has sold out (what else is new), but there is a white version and loads of colorful ones in pink, blue, etc. When buying the microfiber tops, I size up to a size 2. I feel like they run a little small, and I don’t like having my lumps and bumps showing.

This Adjustable Y Necklace is beautiful, and I am so thrilled that it is still available and on sale! I fooled around and missed out on the matching earrings, and I am still aggravated about that. Lol!

The white pants that I’m wearing are the Boyfriend Ankle Jeans. I usually size up when wearing white jeans, but since these are the boyfriend cut, I ordered my usual size .5, and they fit great. Boyfriend jeans are supposed to be a little relaxed, so I don’t worry about panty lines showing.

You’ve seen me wear these White Beaded T-Strap Sandals before, and I’m still loving them. I also just got them in blue, and I can’t wait to show those to you soon. These sandals run true to size, I’m wearing my usual size 9, and they fit me perfectly. I just noticed that both sandals are limited in some sizes, so if you like them, check them out now.

Several of you have commented about wanting to see my porch once it is finished. I am 90% done, so I figured I would show you how it has progressed. I bought a 6-pc teak set from Sam’s Club, and the outdoor rug also came from there. I slowly added pillows and changed my mind several times before settling on these. I still want to get a painting or sign to put behind the couch, and I would like a green plant in the corner. Joe hates plants because they shed leaves, so I’ll have to catch him gone and get one. Lol!
