50 IS NOT OLD | DISTRESSED JEANS WITH NO HOLES | FASHION OVER 50

Okay, smarty-arty’s, that is all of you who noticed that I said Christmas is SIX months away, and it is instead actually FIVE months away. I have a question for all of you…If a woodchuck could chuck wood, how much wood could a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood? Lol!!! Hahaha! I rolled in the floor when I saw the first comment about it being FIVE months to Christmas. I never even thought about it, I figured that Christmas in July would be the half-way point. That makes no sense; it should be Christmas in June instead. Am I right???

I can’t believe I am going to tell TWO stories on myself this week. Lol! This rarely happens, but here we go. My Energizer Bunny Friend and her husband are sports nuts. They go to A LOT of games, and it doesn’t matter if it is basketball or baseball. They are HUGE Louisville Cardinals fans, and they have already reserved a hotel reservation in Atlanta for the final four basketball tournament. No…the season hasn’t started yet, but they are confident that their team will be there. So, when EBF told me that she was excited to hear that the Alabama band was coming to Bristol, I assumed she meant the Alabama Football team’s “band.” I was like, “and…” She kept talking and talking about her childhood and listening to songs. I was sitting there with this puzzled look on my face, and thinking that I didn’t know why she listened to “band” music when she was a child. Finally, she said, “when I was young, we only had three cassette tapes, and Alabama was one of them.” I would have spit out my drink if I had something in my mouth. Even I thought that was funny. Who else in this world would have thought that the Alabama band was the football team, instead of being the ALABAMA band???
50 IS NOT OLD | DISTRESSED JEANS WITH NO HOLES | FASHION OVER 50This top is an old top that I bought at Old Navy last year. That is still old. I love gingham check; it is one of my favorite prints. I also like an off the should top, especially when you can wear it as a boat neck also.

50 IS NOT OLD | DISTRESSED JEANS WITH NO HOLES | FASHION OVER 50I am in love with these pants!!! They are distressed, but there are no holes! I know that this will make a lot of you very happy, and I like the patched look. I like the price even better, and so will you. These are made of super-soft and stretchy denim, and they don’t require breaking in. These are true to size; I am wearing my usual size 10. These are only 27.50, so head on over to HERE and grab a pair before they sell out.
50 IS NOT OLD | DISTRESSED JEANS WITH NO HOLES | FASHION OVER 50The neutral Croc shoes are also super cute, and they have been the perfect summer sandal. I wear them around the pool, and I wear them all the time. These are great with shorts, jeans, and dresses. I have even worn them to church this year.

50 IS NOT OLD | DISTRESSED JEANS WITH NO HOLES | FASHION OVER 50Yesterday’s event was fabulous. We had a great time, and the chips and salsa, along with the wine, might have had a little to do with that. Lol! As my EBF left my house, she picked up the phone and called me. I wondered what she wanted, especially since she had literally just pulled out of my driveway. She said, “go an turn the lights out on your Christmas tree, people are going to think that you are weird.” Do y’all think that I am weird? Lol!

Today’s Christmas In July’s special is sometimes referred to as “eye crack.” It is addicting!!! This is one of my favorite products that I will recommend to EVERYONE. This is the crow’s feet eraser, in my opinion. I know that my lines and wrinkles have disappeared. This tiny little jar will last you around four months. You do not need to use much product.
This special does NOT require you to become a Preferred Customer. I am placing the orders, so all you have to do is message me that you would like to take advantage of my special. The retail price for this eye cream is 64.00, and I am offering it to you for 52.00 plus 3.50 in shipping. Or, if you would like to get one for a friend, then you can purchase two for 96.00 plus 5.00 in shipping. You can message me at fiftyisnotold@gmail.com for details.

Just found your blog through Rhoda’s recommendation. Love your hair and your outfits. You are a great looking grandma for sure, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop using “Lol!” in your blog posts. It is a huge turnoff! We can tell you’re a smiley person and that you laugh a lot due to the photos you post. You don’t need to post Lol! Cheapens the post in my humble opinion. Would love to keep seeing the outfits!!! ; )

  2. Love this outfit!!!! You are the only one who has made me actually consider this months Posse….and I’ve seen it on many people. You are just so stink’n adorable!!!

I have been feeling awful lately. My weight is keeping me from living a full life! It really increased after fifty. So I’m not a quitter or a complainer and will begin Dr. Oz’s 28 day challenge. I have a friend who had great success with this recently. It’s perfect for me… so I want to thank you for the incentive you bring with your posts and youtube channel. We share a similar body shape and seeing you in clothes I will again wear makes helps me stay positive! Thank you.

  7. I love this whole outfit so much!! It is so you and I can totally see myself in it, too. It is my favorite one this week.

  8. You are so cute! LOVE this outfit! Thanks for the fashion inspiration.

  9. Nothing with holes or rips look good.

  10. Hi Tania, The outfit is adorable.
What lipstick are you wearing in the Christmas in July photo where you’re wearing the Santa print scarf? It’s a great shade of red.

    1. It is Blu-Red from LipSense.

  11. Love the gingham top! The jeans are a big “no”.

    1. What?!? I LOVE these jeans. Lol!

  12. Love the red glasses and the red lipstick color ! I cannot seem to find a red lipstick that works for me. What color is the one you are wearing? Love your blog and read it every day !

    1. That is Blu-Red from LipSense. I like it because it doesn’t bleed.

  13. That story absolutely cracks me up!! I’m an Alabama fan (as in the football team) and a musician with friends who marched in the Alabama Million Dollar Band. I’m still laughing as I imagine your EBF listening to the Million Dollar Band “album” as a child!!! ???
Thanks for all your funny stories and fashion ideas!

    1. You should have seen my face when she was talking. You should have seen her face when she found out what I thought. Lol!!!

  14. Love your sense of style! That being said, while I am not a fan of the jeans, I do love the red sunglasses and sandals. Anything that is cotton gingham is so perfect for warm weather.

    1. Thanks, Amy. It is funny how I love these jeans so much, and yet others don’t care for them. That is why there are so many fashion choices.

  15. Tammy Brown says:

Your skin looks amazing! and I love the outfit 🙂

    1. Thank you so much, Tammy. My skincare products are #1 in North America. They are doing their job!

  16. Brenda Jenkins says:

Love your glasses!!! They just complete the cuteness of your outfit, and your personality 🙂 I look forward every day to reading your blog. It always makes me smile and it is so nice to see someone living life to the fullest . . .sometimes we forget how important that is. Thank you for being you!!

    1. Brenda, now it is your turn to make me smile. Thank you for your kind words.

  17. Mary Boyum says:

That story is HYSTERICAL!!!!! You’re so funny! Love the outfit. I can’t do off the shoulder because the girls are too large for a strapless bra and the top looks weird on me when I bring it up higher, but it looks great on you. Pants are super cool!

    1. I admit the story was pretty funny. I was afraid it might have been a “you had to be there” type story. Lol!

  18. Love the jeans! The whole outfit really, except the jewelry, but that is only because I don’t like red. And, I have to be 100% honest, I do think it is a little weird to leave your tree up year round. I get that it is in a room you don’t use often, but it would still make me crazy. I have to have all the Christmas decorations put away before New Year’s. But hey, that’s what great about America, we are free to do as we please and if your tree doesn’t bother you, then who cares!

    1. Beth, I know that for a lot of people the tree would drive them nuts. I like the tree, it is Champagne colored and decorated with bronze, gold, and brown ornaments. My walls in the living room are in a brown color that matches great with the tree. Plus, I do like the pretty white lights when I turn the tree on. LOL!

Alabama played on my senior trip at Six flags over Texas. Well, that was a few years ago ??? I love the jeans, but I like holey ones too, just not shredded like my teenage granddaughter wears (and looks adorable in) You always look so stinking cute! I love this look. I’m about to get dressed for casual Friday, so I need this outfit ?
    Have a great weekend ?

  20. Liz DiCamillo says:

You look great in glasses! I have pretty much the same ones. I don’t wear every day but do try to give my eyes a rest from contacts. Every time I wear them my friends love them and even people I don’t know will say something. Love the gingham top too!

    1. Cheryl Peffer says:

Love the glasses. Hey, I also loved your lipstick from the post on the 24 th. Lastly, speaking of Alabama. A little bragging on my part.. my nephew plays keyboard for them. Yeah Steven!!

    2. These are Blu-light glasses. They are to help my eyes not get so tired from working on the computer so much.

  21. Bernadine says:

Your outfit (and you) are adorable. Love those red glasses! I always try and look my best everyday as it sets how I feel for the day. What I like best about your website is you are here for us more mature but not frumpy women. I follow and enjoy many fashion blogs but your blog show us options without having to spend a lot or be a size 2 or 4 ! I wish I could do and be both of those but as Popeye says “I am who I am……” We can look awesome at any age or size!

  22. Lyn Harris says:

Love you with your red glasses. They look amazing.. and Thanks for giving me a great idea to “patch” my holy jeans. I hate it when my toes catch in the holes. ???
