50 IS NOT OLD | DAISIES ARE THE FRIENDLIEST FLOWER | FASHION OVER 40I hope that you are having a beautiful Saturday, no matter what where you live. The weather is once again “drop dead gorgeous” here, but I think that it is this way most of the time. I didn’t even go to the beach or pool yesterday but instead chose to hang out with Joe and chill. Being on vacation means doing what you want to do, even if that means doing NOTHING. Lol!
50 IS NOT OLD | DAISIES ARE THE FRIENDLIEST FLOWER | FASHION OVER 40 I had to laugh, yesterday when I saw a lot of comments on my FaceBook 50inotold page. I didn’t think a thing about putting the picture of Joe and me as the featured photo, but some ladies thought that it wasn’t appropriate. I think that they thought that he was naked, and that might have been a little too much sharing. Lol! Instead, Joe was heading to the pool because I was going to be tied up in the filming for a while, so he was in his bathing trunks. I thought the “that’s a creepy photo” comment was hilarious. I keep teasing him that he is creepy now and that he looks threatening. That would have been an accurate description since he threatened me for teasing him. Hahahahaha!!!
50 IS NOT OLD | DAISIES ARE THE FRIENDLIEST FLOWER | FASHION OVER 40Here is another beautiful dress that would be too cute for Easter. I love the sweet daisy print on this dress; it seems innocent to me even though I have no idea why that phrase comes to mind. Daisies always remind me of the quote from the movie “You’ve Got Mail.” Kathleen said to Joe (Hers, not mine. Lol) “Don’t you think daisies are the friendliest flower?” I tend to agree with her statement, so here is a friendly, innocent, daisy dress just for you. The one that I am wearing is a button-up shirt dress in size large. BUT, that one seems to be out of stock, so I am going to show you the other style dresses that they have in this same print.

50 IS NOT OLD | DAISIES ARE THE FRIENDLIEST FLOWER | FASHION OVER 40As you can see, I am wearing the Stormy gold necklace again today. I think the monogrammed disc is simple enough to go with almost any outfit. I also added the Margaret Sue earrings that are quite a statement. These are a half-disc with a bold blue colored fringe. I don’t wear these often, but they almost always get compliments every time that I wear them. Be watching for the new Plunder Spring jewelry that will be launching April 15th.
50 IS NOT OLD | DAISIES ARE THE FRIENDLIEST FLOWER | FASHION OVER 40I took this picture before I left for Mexico (obviously) and the weather was chilly, so I added a yellow cardigan to match the yellow centers on the daisy print. My cardigan is very old, maybe ten years or more, and it is from Talbots. I normally keep a cardigan or light jacket in the car with me at this time of the year because it can be chilly in the mornings and afternoons. Plus, I am cold by nature, so I like having one when I go to a restaurant to eat.

I have been talking to so many of the ladies on this trip and hearing about their stories. The couple that we ate with last night were in the ’30s and had two children at home. She is a hairdresser, and that is one of the reasons that she joined Rodan + Fields. She told me that she was like me, started using the products, and people started asking her what she was doing. She told me that it didn’t take her long to figure out that by sharing what products that she was using and letting them know where they could purchase them, that she had another stream of income. Who doesn’t want another stream of income? Lol!

If you are intrigued, I am taking part in a Virtual Event on Facebook with several ladies who are here in Los Cabo with me on this fabulous trip that I earned from Rodan + Fields. HERE is the link to that group where you can join to hear more about the unbelievable opportunity of being an R+F consultant. Please ask to join, and then message me or comment that you joined the group because I will be giving away a gift to someone (or maybe more) who join me in this group. I would love the support from you gurls!

People can be nuts. Lol! That is what I thought too, Jennifer.

  2. This is so pretty and the cardigan is perfect with it! I also keep a cardigan handy for the same reason – I’m always cold!
p.s. I thought Joe popping into the photo yesterday was cute, definitely not creepy. Really, people?!

  3. ?Love everything about that outfit!!! You look marvelous!! Enjoy your well deserved trip!!
PS – Joe has such a kind face.?. He doesn’t look like a creeper to me!!??

  4. I thought it was a cute photo with Joe yesterday! Nothing creepy about it….actually it made me smile thinking how nice they are together on a work/vaca!!! Enjoy!

  5. Oh that is a cute dress! I went to check it out and on the model it is really short so I like that it looks a little longer in your photos. ON usually has some really cute dresses for summer. I haven’t had a chance to check them out yet but we are still having cold weather here so it’s hard to get excited to bear my legs. I just asked to join your FB group. Have a great weekend.

  6. What a cute outfit! That dress is super springy and sweet. The picture of you and Joe was adorable….people can be so weird sometimes….LOL!

What can I say about daisies. They were on my yellow prom dress in 1967. ?. On my first set of dishes, kitchen wallpaper etc.. in my bridesmaids bouquet and mine too. A big bouquet of them from my husband and children to me at a very bad time . They make me feel so happy. Just a flower brings me so many memories. They must be a friendly flower.

  8. Love, love, love your dress. And Joe is wearing a ballcap–why would someone not think he’s probably going to the beach or pool?!

Joined the fb group. Love the daisy print. Since when can men not be seen shirtless?

  10. I love the dress and it would be an awesome dress for Easter!!! I loved the dress yesterday & went immediately out to Old Navy and bought a dress for the Kentucky Derby. I would have never thought of Old Navy if you had not posted the black dress—thanks. As far as the picture with Joe, I thought nothing of it and never considered making a comment. Certainly did not think it was creepy, it is your husband for God’s sake. I think in this day & era we tend to over think everything and certainly over verbalize. Keep posting pictures of Joe!!!

  11. Sweet dress and so pretty. Like your shoes too. Where’d you get them? As for the comments regarding Joe, how silly. Some people take themselves and life way too seriously. It’s good you laughed about it. I personally assumed he was going to beach or pool. Your on vacation, right? Anyway… hope to see more pictures of scenery there. I hope to visit one day.

  12. I am cracking up!! When I looked at the picture yesterday, I thought you photoshopped Joe Biden behind you! Really. Glance at the picture very quickly, and your Joe looks like VP Joe. Lol. Then I realized it wasn’t VP Joe. Besides, your post aren’t political. Thank you for that! PS, I love your blog. Keep supporting other bloggers, too. I’ve found nice fashion blogs through you. 🙂

  13. Anyone who reads your blog for any length of time would know that Joe would not allow his photo to be posted in an inappropriate way. You’re at a warm weather resort for goodness sake! Whoever made comments without having the sense to realize that, are not worth getting an explanation.

  14. Such an adorable look! Daisies are one of my favorite flowers. No, I did not think the pic was creepy. I saw it on Instastories. You said he was going to the pool.

Hope you are enjoying Cabo! Was there last summer and LOVED it!

  15. So cute. Slightly retro…reminds me of something I wore in the late 60s-early 70s. Love it.

So funny, I bought a peasant blouse in the same daisy print from Old Navy. I love it!

Oh my gosh! That is ridiculous about the pic of Joe! I thought it was a cute pic and that he was a nice, handsome guy for not objecting. People need to get a clue and keep their opinions to themselves! SO cute dress and cardigan!

I would love to hear from YOU!
