I get asked about my hair more than just about anything. Most of the time, I dry it and go or use a straightener, but when I’m looking to add some oomph, I pull out the curling iron. Whether you’re aiming for soft waves, bouncy curls, or just a bit of volume, the right curling iron can make all the difference. But with so many options out there, it can be a bit overwhelming to choose the perfect one. Don’t worry, though –today, I’m sharing curling irons for women over 50 that you’re sure to love!

Curling Irons For Women Over 50 Under $25

Looking for a reliable and affordable curling iron? You can’t go wrong with Revlon! This ceramic version is perfect for creating silky smooth, loose curls with its 1-1/2 inch barrel. With a price under $20 and an average rating of 4.1 stars from over 4,000 reviews, it’s a fantastic deal. Plus, its triple ceramic coating reduces damage and heats up in just 30 seconds!

Do you have a favorite curling iron thickness? I tend to like bigger curls, but I have short hair, so I’ve found the 1 1/4 inch is a good compromise. This curling iron also heats up in 30 seconds and can reach up to 400° degrees. With THIRTY heat settings and a cool tip for safety, it’s a fantastic tool for all hair types. Plus, it has 12,000 solid reviews, so that’s a lot of happy curlers.

Technically, this isn’t a curling iron, but a curling WAND. The difference is that you hold the wand still and wrap your hair around it. With a 4.4-star rating from over 17,000 reviews, it’s clear this tool is a hit! One of the things I like most about this particular wand is that it has a 60-minute auto shut-off for safety. Seriously, I made Joe turn around and take me back home the other day because I was convinced I’d left my curling iron on. Spoiler alert- I hadn’t. lol.

Do you like your curls a little tighter? This Hoson 1-inch curling iron is for you! It boasts a 4.2-star rating from nearly 15,000 reviews and features a ceramic “tourmaline” coating that helps eliminate static for frizz-free curls. Plus, it comes with a heat-resistant glove for those of you who are worried about getting burned. (Hey, it happens.) And it’s also travel-ready with dual voltage. Lots of great options!

Talk about bang for your buck! This is a 5-in-1 curling wand for those of us who like a bit of variety in our hair. It would be great for experimenting. With five interchangeable ceramic barrels and dual voltage, it’s travel-friendly and super versatile. This set heats up fast, has adjustable temperatures, and comes with a heat-resistant glove and clips. With a 4.5-star rating from over 5,600 reviews, it’s a fantastic choice!

This set includes a 3-barrel waver for beachy waves (my favorite!) and four other barrels for different curls. It heats up in 30 seconds and has adjustable temperature settings to keep your hair healthy and shiny. Unlike the Ohuhu set, this one focuses on creating deeper, longer-lasting beach waves with its extra-long barrels. It’s a solid purchase with a 4.3-star rating from over 5,000 reviews.

My granddaughter has this funky-looking thing automatic curling iron. Unlike traditional irons, this one features a 1″ barrel and a U-shaped slot that curls your hair at the press of a button – no skills needed! With four temperature settings and three timers, you can easily achieve soft waves or tight curls. It heats up quickly, prevents tangling, and shuts off automatically after 30 minutes. There’s a real woman video at the link which shows how it works so be sure and check that out.

HOT TOOLS 24K Gold Extended Barrel Curling Iron 1.5″

This is the curling Iron I’ve used for over 10 years. It’s a trusted professional brand and one of my favorites because they last a long time and work great even with my thick hair. The temperature can be easily adjusted, and I love how well is curls my hair.

T3 CurlWrap 1.25″ Auto-Rotating Curling Iron

This is a new brand to me, and I’m loving it! I ordered the T3 Featherweight StyleMax Dryer and the T3 Airebrush Blow Dry Brush. I have been impressed by both products, so I can safely say that this will be a great curling iron.

My sister travels several times a year with a group of friends she’s known since high school. They have a fun tradition where they all bring a “favorite thing” to tell everyone about Of course, I ALWAYS want to know what they’ve shared. Without fail, someone has a Babyliss styling product. Priced at $59.99, it might be a bit of a splurge, but with a 4.5-star rating from over 15,000 reviews, it should be worth every penny.

Have you heard of ELLA BELLA? It’s a brand owned and operated by women. Makes sense that they would know a little something about curling irons! The digital display allows you to choose the exact temperature that works best for your hair type, ranging from 180°F to 410°F. It comes with a professional styling glove, a heat-resistant carry case, and a mat to protect your vanity. It’s also a bit pricey, but it often goes on sale. It’s available in 1-inch and 1.25-inch, and it’s got great reviews with a 4.7-star rating.

Excellent post Tania! Curling irons today range in price from affordable to ridiculous. And honestly I can’t tell the difference. Revlon is always the best option for us. Remember the ones in the 80s with the little steam button? You even added water to it! Amazon has an excellent flat iron by VANESSA PRO for about 40$. Works great as well. It’s good to be home and back to dependable WiFi! I’ll be responding regularly now.
    Blessings! Julie

The 1 1/4 inch barrel curling iron has been my go to for several years. I have fine and thin hair and need all the help I can get to add volume to my hair. That Rose gold titanium curling iron looks great and a great price!

  4. I struggle with using a curling iron. lol!
If I use anything like that, I just use a straight iron.

  5. Love the T3 curling iron but am looking for a mini curling iron for travel.

  6. I have never been able to master a traditional curling iron. I can curl my hair using an air glider which is a type of curling iron.

  7. I live just south of the Mason-Dixon line which to most that is south (although growing up I was raised to believe it was north) but I have eaten fried green tomatoes my entire life and love them.

  8. Nope, no fried green tomatoes up here. Thats why we ate them with every meal when we went out in Charleston!

  9. Wow, I never knew there were so many nice!
