CRANBERRY IS A LOVELY SHADE OF RED
Whoa! My hair just keeps getting lighter and lighter. You might not have even noticed but I took out the large chunks of red this last time and just went with small streaks for an all over look. I told her to let the blonde be a little more prominent because summer would soon be here and I like a brighter look in the summer months. Every time I wash my hair it seems to be getting lighter. Joe loves my hair being blonde so at least he is happy. Lol!
I’ve been letting my hair grow out a little also. I think this is a cycle I go through every winter and spring. Do you gurls do this too? It is like I just can’t be happy unless I am tweaking the color or the cut. Every once in a while I will go crazy and do a drastic cut or color but for the most part, I just do some mild tweaking. I have no idea why I like my hair longer in the summer months, you would think it would be the opposite. It just makes sense to have long hair in the winter to keep you warmer and short hair in the summer to keep you cooler. But not me, I like it exactly opposite. I think I must have a screw loose somewhere. I hope Joe is not reading this, he may start a list of where all those screws are. Hahaha!
Maybe the hair is just looking lighter and brighter because of the cranberry colored sweater I have on today. I looked back on my blog to see when I wore this last and I think I liked it better then. You be the judge. Also, make sure you read that post because it talks about my strange pet. Do any of you remember reading about Pierre?
I am still wearing my BELIEVE necklace. I had a reader ask me if I was singing, “Don’t stop believing” when I was wearing this necklace. Now I think of that every time I put it on. Lol! That necklace came from Marietta, Georgia but you can find similar ones on Amazon. My longer necklace is the Joey from Plunder. I really like this necklace. It has a little sparkle to it but it is not over the top. Plus, you know I love to feel the tassels so I sit around and play with them a lot. Lol! I have on a few Alex and Ani bangles and a couple by Plunder called the Lindy.
The other two bangles are the Hugo and the Kylie. The Hugo is clear and the Kylie is cranberry colored. A true red bangle is available now under the specials tab for Valentine’s Day. It is called the Candy. Just tell your husband you want Candy for Valentine’s Day. Lol!!! While I am thinking about it, you need to be sure to check out TWENTY SOMETHING FASHION today. For those of you who don’t know this is my DIL, (aka Emersyn’s mommy) and she is doing a post today for 7 Charming Sisters. She showed me the jewelry she got and it is gorgeous. This is the first time that she has posted in a while, so please show her some love! ❤️
My purse and my shoes match. Some say that is a no-no and others think that is the perfect way to dress. I can take it or leave it. Today I decided to take it. Haha! The purse is one that I bought last year at the overstock store in town and it is by Aimee Kestenberg. I don’t carry it a lot because it is on the small side for me. I have to carry at least 15 pounds of items with me each day or I feel naked.
My dark gray flats are by Sole Society. The t-strap and the studs are what make these shoes stand out. I wore these shoes with bright coral the last time and with navy here. They are pretty versatile and can be worn with a lot of different colors. The light gray or silver pants are by DKNY and I probably bought them at TJ Maxx. It was a little weird to wear a sweater and ankle pants at the same time. The sweater looks heavy but it is actually lightweight and has lots of open spots. I put a cranberry colored camisole under the sweater so it looks like a solid color. Here is a jewelry tip, if you have problems with your necklaces falling between the “girls” then add a camisole or tank top under your top. The necklaces won’t lay in the middle when you do that. Try it and let me know if it works.
NOW, I want to tell you a little something about Plunder Design. It is a wonderful, inspirational company. They have great jewelry that is hypoallergenic and nickel-free. Plunder is having a business opportunity drive in January. Joining Plunder is 99.00 and you normally receive 10 pieces of jewelry BUT this month they are adding 3 more pieces to the signup kit. When you think of it, 99.00 is not a huge amount of money for starting your own business but I want to make it even easier. If you join Plunder with me, I will offer to pay half of your kit back to you. If you are interested, then email me for the details at regarding this incentive at fiftyisnotold@gmail.com.
For those new to my blog, let me tell you why I am a part of Rodan and Fields. AGE SPOTS!!! I hate them, expecially when they are on my face. I started R & F to try to get rid of the nasty reminders of my careless suntanning youth. After the first month I could start to tell a difference and by month two I knew I would be signing up. I only signed up to get the discount and I never meant to sell R & F. HOWEVER, you gurls kept telling me that I was glowing. What was I doing different? So, I decided not to keep the information all to myself and I now share my journey with you. Joining Rodan and Fields has three levels you can join at. If you join me in my business with at least the 395.00 kit, I will also offer to reimburse you half of your kit back to you. You could start a business and only have 200.00 invested, email me for the special details at fiftyisnotold@gmail.com Since Plunder decided to give an incentive to those signing up this month, I will give one for R & F too. For those of you who only want to signup to get the discount, if you signup with the 395.00 kit then I will refund you 50.00, the 695.00 kit will get you a 75.00 refund, and the 995.00 kit will get you a 100.00 refund. I have a goal of signing up one new consultant a month and I hope that is you.
Part of my 2017 goals is to grow my subscriber list on the blog. If you are not a subscriber PLEASE take the time to sign. Also, if you would like to share my posts on Facebook or Twitter, I would appreciate that. It helps get my blog out to more people, and I am sure you just want to spread the entertaining sayings I have. Lol!

I like the sweater in this post better. It has a classy look. Also love your hair. You have come a long way since that post and this one. You were just beginning to try R&F, and it looks like an amazing product and you are the proof.
Oooh, I LOVE your hair! I’m w/Joe! And it looks really full & perfect today too! And your color must be this red because it really flatters you! (But then, what doesn’t!) Thanks for the info on Plunder!
Love this cranberry sweater styled both ways! This is a typical look for me as I have noticed getting more casual in my style lately. I looked back at your Feb. 2016 version and WOW! Do I see a difference in your face!! The Rodan + Fields is definitely working on you as that was when you were just considering using it. I think we can both agree it was worth the investment.
As for your hair, I agree with going lighter in the summer; it just works better with a tan – too light in the winter washes me out, (I’m blonde too). But I like to go WAY short in the summer, off my neck, ears and forehead. Southern summers are brutal! But I agree, whatever works for you is all that matters! At our stage in life we have probably tried most things and know what does and does not work for us, so when we go out we can feel confident in how we present
ourselves! ?
I like everything about your post today! Great outfit and your hair is FAB!!!!
Great Hair day today!!!! and loving the cranberry on you!!!
Oh, did I enjoy your story about the skunk, Tania!!!!! Had me LOL!!!!!
I LOVE your sweater and I think I prefer it with the light coloured pants and not the jeans!!!!! It looks beautiful and the rich colour really does something for you!!!!!
Have a great day!!!!

Love your hint about a tank or camisole under a sweater to help with necklace placement! Love your sweater today!
Love the cut and color of your hair, the cranberry sweater looks so pretty against your skin tone.
Thanks for the tip on wearing long necklaces! I enjoy my coffee with your blog each morning.
Love your hair, color and cut. Can we get a side view tomorrow? I think my hair is similar in thickness and texture to yours. Last year I showed your picture to my long time stylist and asked if she could cut and style my hair like yours. You ever been with someone for so long that they believe they know what’s best for you regardless of what you want….needless to say she would not and did not style my hair like yours 🙁 I have since moved to a new town and found a new salon so I’m going to try this again!
Cranberry is a very gorgeous color on you! I also like your lighter blond hair. This cranberry sweater and blonder hair makes your face pop! (And in a good way! lol) Now I wish I had a top in that color……
I absolutely love the sweater!
I must tell you when I brought the blog up I saw your picture and said wow! You look fabulous! The hair and the color of the sweater is great! I did like your hair with the large red chunks but also like this way. Love the bangs.
Love the sweater, I went over to your previous post and it looks a different shade! Or is it my eyes ?
Love the look and would also love you to do an updated how you style your hair video.
I know what you mean about the longer hair in the summer and the shorter hair in the winter. I also like to let mine grow out for the summer months since it makes it easier to pull back or put up. I do love the style of your hair now!! Beautiful!
My hair has been very similar to yours, in the cut and color style, and seeing it makes me consider going back. Right now it’s quite long, so I can put it up, but yours looks sassier! I’m still keeping it more red because I’m not encouraging Spring! I live in Southern Cal, and want as much winter as I can get. Love the cranberry!
Hair is such a fantastic accessory for us. You are so lucky because yours is so pretty!! And I love the blonde in it—it lightens up your face so nicely!!
I’d take your hair over mine anyday!! Curls just don’t behave!!

I love your style and work on tweaking my wardrobe from what I see. Always love checking out your bags. I sell Thirty-One…if you are ever interested in their bags, let me know.
I love your sweater! The color is beautiful! I agree with Joe, the blonde in your hair looks great. My morning routine has changed since I started following you. I get a cup of coffee and then look for your post. Have a great day!
Thanks, Linda. That is really nice of you to say so. But don’t get in the habit of agreeing with Joe. ?
Your hair looks great! Love the color, cut, and bangs! ?
SNAP! Tania I am wearing a cranberry jumper with a long silver chain (great minds and all that ??) I wore navy trousers and a mink wedge boot ? love the length in your hair and highlights are looking lovely have a good day ?
The light grey and red looks just like Spring is around the corner – wonderful. I am flying back to Zurich this weekend and really happy to see my hubby and daughter again but really afraid of the cold front that will hit me SNOW!!!

Amazing color! The sweater I mean! And of course also the color of your hair! I hadn t noticed you re color is more blonde now. I am almost never satisfied with my hair! I don t know what that is! Oh well, there are worse things right!
I just became a redhead on Monday! I’ve been a brunette all my life,( helped along a little of late if you know what I mean ?) but changing my hair colour has given me such a boost.Yours looks lovely with those soft blondes but I like yours every way, you have such good hair!! I love the outfit, I can’t seem to find any nice sweaters lately. They are either aimed at the teen market or are too fuddy duddy.
Caroline, I think redheads are so very pretty. My DIL is a natural redhead and I LOVE her color. My other DIL was bottle redhead for a while, that deep violet color, and it was so becoming. Congrats on taking the plunge and doing something totally different.
