COLORED JEANS AND ANKLE BOOTS FOR FALL
I have had the best time with my girl for the past month, but all good things must come to an end. I don’t know who said that quote, but I don’t think that I like it very much. She has her plane ticket purchased, and she is starting the packing process to head back to Juneau, Alaska, until sometime in December. UGH! I want her to stay, and I might have asked her if she wanted to postpone her trip for a while longer.
Don’t give me that tsk, tsk, tsk look. I know that I have to let her live her own life, but she brings so much life into the household that I am going to miss her terribly. I hate that whole “baby bird” theory where you have to let them fly away…why? I told her to tell her boyfriend to come here; instead, that sounds like a much better plan. She laughed and said, “what would he do, he can’t sit still?” I told her that I needed my patio furniture cleaned and put away, the grass needs fertilizing for winter, and the driveway could probably be resealed if he wanted to keep busy. She was NOT amused, so I don’t see Andy coming to visit any time soon. Lol! Oh well, at least I tried, I guess we will have to wait and see what she plans on doing. But, I have a funny feeling that “the boy” will win out over “the parents.” What do you gurls think???
This is one of those times that you are going to have to take my word on this. Let me start by saying, if you purchase this top, I don’t make a penny. So, don’t think that I am trying to talk you into buying this because I will get something from the sale. I am going to tell you that this knit top is my favorite purchase so far this fall. I love how soft this hacci knit sweater feels, and I love how it falls around my hips. I do wish that it was a different color other than taupe, but I still LOVE this sweater. I am wearing a medium, and it fits perfectly. I bought this at Versona, and here is the link if you are interested.
I am wearing two vintage necklaces today. One is a modern-looking wooden necklace that features geometric shapes. The other one is what I call me “Johnn Appleseed” necklace since it is made from small seeds. I don’t know it this necklace is made from apple seeds, but that is what they look like to me. Just a reminder, I will be going to my sister’s next week for a vintage fashion show. This is a yearly event that my mother and her friend have for the Winnwood Retirement Community in Marietta. It is a beautiful facility, and the residents there love the show and all of the jewelry. I told mom that I would start showing everyone some of the vintage items that I have bought at previous shows. I don’t show you a lot of my vintage jewelry since you can’t purchase it in stores. BUT you can join me next week if you live in the area. I would love to meet you on Saturday, the 26th. Early shopping and hors d’oeuvres at 10:30, and the fashion show starts at 11:30.
Guess what the brand of these pants is? Lol! They are by Democracy which seems to be all that I have worn for the past couple of posts. I loved this deep sienna rusty color, and I also like the large cuff at the hem. The cuff is not permanent, I have them rolled up this amount, but you can choose to do a smaller cuff or no cuff at all. I bought these at Versona, and I am not sure that I pulled up the right pair on the website, but here is what I found. My ankle boots are from Old Navy, and I have had this pair for years. Here is a link for you to find your own pair.
Some of you have messaged me asking what R+F products you need. It occurred to me that it might be helpful if I had an “event” on Facebook to show you the products and tell what each one does. This would be an information-only type of event, and I would love for you to join me on Tuesday night at 8:00 PM ET. here is the link where you can request to join the event.
I am trying to grow my Instagram, so if you do not already follow me, please do that by clicking here. Remember to sign up for my daily emails. Thanks so much for following me on my blog. Be sure to follow me on Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.
It is hard to let our Babies go. Mine went to Florida to do the Disney college program and met a boy and is now married with 2 beautiful babies. We are in California so you can imagine I rack up the airline miles!
So, is this the Winnwood in Marietta, GEORGIA!! That is not too far from me and I’d love to meet you. I can’t get the link to work for Winwood, but I know right where it is.
Joni, that is wonderful!!! It is a lot of fun, the models look fantastic, and the jewelry is amazing.
I love the look of this sweater. Lately I’m obsessed with things being soft and comfortable. I like taupe but I would need small too. Finding that perfect sweater in the style, color and fabric is just not easy. I like soft collared sweaters in a nubby cotton blend with side slits and oversized. Very hard to find at a reasonable price. There’s so many ways to keep in touch these days but electronics can’t hug you can they? : )
Hi Tania, I feel exactly the same as you do when my daughter goes back to school. It is heart wrenching and I miss her so much! Thank you for your posts.
Enjoy your posts and reading about your family. My daughter and granddaughter just moved out of my house after 4 1/2 years of living with me and it’s hard when the life of the household leaves and the quietness is left behind. I have a question regarding “vintage” jewelry. What qualifies jewelry as “vintage”? Is it the age? The style? Just curious as to how this label is put on jewelry. Thank you.
Thanks, Angela. According to the internet: Jewelry should be at least 20 years old to be classified as vintage. For instance, jewelry from the ’80s could be called vintage, but jewelry from the ’90s would not be.
Love this outfit, Tania. I want that sweater, but they are out of the small! You look darling and I love the vintage jewelry!
I enjoy most of your outfits and when you do the links to purchase, like the top today, I always like to check them out….my problem is that I am in Canada and alot of the companies you link to dont offer international shipping. 🙁 So I am not able to order anything!
I hate that a lot of companies don’t ship overseas. Do you have a list of ones that do?
I love how vintage jewelry is still current. Your choices for this outfit complete the look!

Love seeing the Vintage jewelry with current outfits. Shows we shouldn’t forget about what we might have stored away. I know the residents love this show. Wish I was in the area. You look so comfortable in your outfit. As always I enjoy your blog and coffee.
I love my vintage jewelry, but I don’t wear it as often as I should.
