I don’t think that I’ve ever quoted Woody Allen before, but I am today. A couple of days ago, I shared with all of you that I am a goal-oriented person. I like to set goals, and I love celebrating when I finally hit that goal. The number of email subscribers was one of the goals, and I was 2600 short. That is not the case today…

The Woody Allen quote is, “If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans.” When I scheduled my post for yesterday, I had 12,357 email subscribers. When I woke up yesterday morning, I had already started getting emails and messages saying that they didn’t get an email about my blog post. I went to my blog and checked my post, and that is when I noticed that my number of subscribers had changed. I went from 12,357 to 1. Yes, you read that correctly, ONE!!!

There were many calls, then a lot of tears when I finally realized that the chances of getting my email list back were dim. I have an old list that I used years ago that I have had to unarchive, so that is at least something. If you are reading this and had unsubscribed from my blog previously, I am sorry; you can feel free to unsubscribe again. If you were an email subscriber, please click HERE and re-subscribe again. I am sorry for the inconvenience. Be sure to read all the way to the bottom; I have an incentive to those who subscribe to my blog from 04-28 thru 05-09.

BTW, if you didn’t see yesterday’s post, please check it out by clicking here. I don’t want you to miss out on anything!!!

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a cobalt blue sweater with gold jewelry from Kendra Scott

Because I had such a no good, very bad day, I decided that I needed to brighten my mood, which means adding COLOR! I am a huge fan of Cobalt Blue, and this sweater is adorable with its white and light blue trim. This sweater speaks to the “preppy” Tania that doesn’t get to come out and play very often.

The sleeve length is great on this sweater, and I love that they hide some of my upper arms. The sweater is made from very nice material, and it is of great quality. I am wearing a size medium in this sweater, and I think that it fits me great. I don’t feel self-conscious at all, and you can’t see my extra rolls.

The new Spring Arrivals from Kendra Scott are so stinking cute!!! The turquoise color is gorgeous on the Jack Earrings and the Tessa Multi-Strand necklace. I also added two Rebecca stretch bracelets, one in White howlite and one in Variegated Turquoise, and the Natalie hinged bangle bracelet.

Before you fuss about my shoe choice, I had intended to have a big Talbots Try-On post for today, and I wore these shoes since they were from Talbots. I do have a couple more items from Talbots to show you, but I was so wrapped up in blog issues that I didn’t have time to post all of them at once. I guess you will get to see those later.

The navy H style leather sandals are a great basic summer shoe. They don’t have many bells and whistles, but they are the kind of shoe that you will repeatedly wear since they are great with almost anything.

These relaxed chinos are so cute! It seems like I’ve said that a lot in this post. Lol! I love the printed paisley design of the pants and the relaxed fit of the pants. Since the model styled these pants with white, I wanted to wear blue to see how they would look with that color.

I am wearing a size 8 in these pants, and I think they fit me great.

See this laugh; I’ve learned that you have to learn to laugh when things go wrong. That doesn’t mean that I didn’t throw a fit first; it just means that I have done all that I can do, and you have to laugh at the whole absurdity of the mess. It has taken me FIVE years to build that email list, and it was gone in the space of a second.

SO, I am having an EMAIL SUBSCRIBER drive. Everyone who signs up for my emails from yesterday, the 28th, through Sunday (Mother’s Day), the 9th of May, will be entered into a drawing. I will be giving away 2 – $50.00 gift cards or Paypal cash each week. All you have to do is subscribe, and you are entered.

Secondly, please call your best friend, mom, sister, aunt, cousin, next-door neighbor, co-worker, and any other woman you think would enjoy this blog and tell them to follow and subscribe. Thanks so much; I appreciate all of your help!!!

I love technology … but when it doesn’t work I absolutely abhor it!

  7. Margaret Brockman says:

Paul tells us in Romans that ALL things work together for our good- even lost email list. If you ask God to show you the good in this seeming catastrophe He will. You might be astonished. Your shades of blue are both uplifting and soothing – like our faith.

  8. I am a relatively new subscriber (signed up in January) and got your email yesterday and today

    1. Same with me! I subscribed earlier this year and didn’t miss a blog notification email.

I re-subscribed twice because on your page there are 2 places to sign up that are right next to each other, so hopefully one of them is the correct one.
Nice post today. Love that color sweater and I LOVE the earrings.

  14. Well no wonder I didn’t get your email yesterday. I thought maybe you were just ill and didn’t get one out which would be understandable. But I was just at A Well Styled Life and Jennifer told us about the issue and to resubscribe so here I am !! I love blue clothing!!!

I’ve been a follower via Pinterest for a few years and just recently signed up on your emails. I truly enjoy your daily fun posts just for the gurls. I can feel your spirit of joy in what you do. So it was difficult to know your email platform collapsed. Felt so bad for you. I did, however pass along your blog to four friends I probably wouldn’t have otherwise! So maybe out of this struggle will be a greater victory. Can’t help but think so. And others want to help you as well in our own way for the laughs and the joy you bring to so many every day.
    God Bless you Tania
    Robyn

    1. I didn’t get your email yesterday. I did just go to your blog to read it.
It’s the 1st thing I hunt in my emails every morning. You always brighten my day.
Even though I got your email today, I still re-subscribed just to cover my bases. 😊

  22. Kathleen McDermott says:

You work like a stevedore on this blog. This is just not fair. Hope you get all your subscribers back and more. I resubscribed.

  23. Hi Tania I really did miss you yesterday and just thought perhaps you took a day off but after hearing what happened I’m so sorry. I did re-subscribe and look forward to your emails each morning again.

  25. i hope today is a better day or you. I subcribed again

  26. I’m not sure if I need to re subscribe…I have received this post and I think it was three(of the same one)yesterday…please advise..
I will forward this post to several friends that I’ve told about you and are now subscribers.
Hang in there it will all work out..love the sweater❤️

    1. The way the system works, it should just update your profile so that you won’t receive more than one email. However, let me know if you receive multiples and I can fix the problem.

  27. God is still good and on your side. While it is unclear why, I believe there is a purpose in the email snafu. He’s got you!! BTW you totally rock the color!!

    1. Carla, that is what I said too. What the enemy means for evil, He means for good. So, maybe this little episode will turn out even better than before.

  28. So sorry this happened to you Tania. I know how discouraging it can be. I lost all of my Twitter followers a couple of months ago in a hack. I just signed up again for your email. I know you will get it back. Blessings!

    1. Pam, that is horrible about your Twitter followers. I’ve never worked Twitter, so I don’t have many followers on that platform. Thanks for signing back up.

  29. I’m sorry for the day you had yesterday. I signed up again and I’m sure others will also. Hang in there!
I love your outfit. It looks great on you. Blue is your color.

    1. Thanks, Linda!!! I do love blue!

I missed your daily posts and was concerned. Jennifer at A Well Styled Life posted what had happened so zi have tried-subscribed. Sorry for your troubles. That is awful.

    1. Jennifer is a doll! She is such a sweetheart and I love her to death!

  33. Glad your difficulties have been sorted.
    Love the sweater.

    1. Thanks so much, Fiona!

  34. I saw you were having difficulties yesterday but I had no problem. I will be happy to pass the word. Love your posts and inspirational words. Cobalt blue is definitely your color! God bless

    1. You must have been part of the small list that I had on a different email provider. Those weren’t affected, but the majority of my subscribers were.

  35. I too thought something was wrong when I looked in the morning yesterday and your e-mail wasn’t there!! I thought I must have accidentally deleted it!! You are such a trooper and you have worked so hard to build your subscriber list, you will get every e-mail back and more!!!!

    1. Thanks, Chris. It was a loooong day yesterday!

  36. Monica Ercanbrack says:

I was also worried when I couldn’t find email it is first thing I look at when I wake up.
So glad your back keep up the good work.

  37. Phew! I was really concerned when I didn’t see your e-mail in the morning. I look forward to it each and every day. I know that this probably won’t make you feel better, but I’m glad that the reason we didn’t get your post was a technical issue and not something worse. There are so, so many of us who enjoy your posts and I have no doubt that you will build back up your followers very quickly.

  38. Hey Tania…missed you yesterday and so glad you’re back! Technology is great when it works but a huge pain in the butt when it doesn’t! I love today’s sweater and I must admit that I wasn’t a fan of the pants at first but, the more I see them, the more I like them, although I’d prefer a white top with them. Best of luck in getting your email list reinstated!

    1. Like many others, I was afraid something bad had happened to the family. Sorry for your (and many if your followers) frustration but glad it was only technical issues not family matters. Love the colors today! You rock Tania!

      1. That is what I kept saying yesterday also…it could be worse. So, as bad as it was, I am grateful that it was just these kinds of issues.

  39. I re-subscribed yesterday and I am so glad to see you once again. Cheers to brighter days ahead.

    1. Re-subscribed! Colour helps me when im feeling low too!

  40. Michele Gubish says:

Yout blog is part of my morning routine! When I didn’t see your email yesterday, it threw me into a tizzy and fret! LOL. I went to your web page and enjoyed the post. Last night I re subscribed so I could make sure my day would start on track. Sorry you had a no good very bad day☺🙄

    1. Tizzy and fret. Lol! That was how my day was also.

  41. I just saw your instagram post about losing your email list. Yesterday I wondered why I didn’t start my morning with your blog post. No worries, I’ve signed back up and mornings will be normal again. I hope you can get your list up and running again!

    1. Thanks, Sue! I was a mess yesterday, but I’m doing better today.

  42. Marilyn Soto says:

Wow! I thought I had lost you and knew that something really bad must have happened, you NEVER fail to email your blog post. Glad I did some digging and found out how to get back on the Tania train . Maybe some of your co blogger friends will put the word out on their blogs and get your following back up .

    1. Marilyn, I am grateful that it wasn’t something family or health-related. Several of them have been so kind!

  43. Barbara Wilson says:

I love that outfit!! I feel your pain on losing your subscriber list. I know the feeling.

    1. Thanks, Barbara. I’ve taken a deep breath, and I am feeling better now.
