Color Blocking
I like the color blocking fashion, especially if the designer has done the hard work for me. Take this poncho that I bought at Versona a couple of months ago. The designer picked out the colors, decided the perfect placement, and made the garment. I bought it! LOL
These colors are perfect for fall. As it gets cooler, I can always wear of long sleeved shirt, or turtleneck, under the poncho. I am wearing a layered necklace from Cato’s, I really liked the black tassel. A couple of gold bracelets and a pair of gold earrings, not to mention my Michael Kors birthday watch, and my jewelry is set.
The gold emblem on the black and brown boots goes well with the jewelry. The boots were bought last year, but here is a similar pair. They are a very versatile pair of boots, and I wear them quite often.
Continuing with the black & brown theme, I carried this Dooney & Bourke purse. The white stitching on the purse is a nice little detail.
This outfit is a super easy, thrown together outfit. A poncho, black pants, and a pair of boots. It can’t get much easier than that.
I am feeling much better today, and I want to thank all of you who took the time to wish me well.

I think have pinned every single outfit I’ve seen you in!! Finally a woman of my age group with sassy and funky style ideas for me!! I also love your hair! taking a picture to my stylist at my next visit! thank you
I love the colors in this poncho! I have purchased a few for fall, but have yet to wear them. Thanks for the style inspiration! Glad you’re feeling better.
Thanks Lana. I am finally on the mend????
You look great! Don’t change a thing!
Do you mind me asking what size you wear? I would love to be your size! I also love the hair!!! Love all your outfits!
I am a size 10, Angie. Like most women, I would love to be an 8 or even a 6. We are never satisfied:)
You look great as usual in this poncho. I just wanted to tell Nancy who is 5’5″ to try on ponchos because she will find one that is right for her stature. If the pattern is right for your proportions, you can wear one. You do have to try them on however, because some are so voluminous they swallow you up. Bottom line, it’s fun to look for clothes so don’t give up.
That is true Sharon. I am only 5’6″, and I don’t think that extra inch would make a difference. I think it just what you feel comfortable in that matters. I love maxi dresses, and wear them often, but I have a lot of women tell me they just can’t wear them. They think they are too short. Just be fearless and try what you like. If you like it, then that is all that really matters!
Lovely fall and winter look. I love the colors!

Thanks Rachel. I enjoy the linkup????
You inspire me to be more vigilant of what I put together and call an outfit, but, I’m still a work in progress. Love your accessories and the poncho. I think at 5’5″ tall I’m not tall enough to wear one, but it looks great on you. Have a great day and thanks for keeping me more concerned about what I call an outfit.
Thanks Nancy. I would have never considered myself an inspiration. Lol
Super cute! And yes, a long sleeve shirt or turtleneck would be perfect during colder weather.
Over the weekend, I was telling my DIL about all your great deals at the QVC outlet. Color us JEALOUS! LOL There’s not one in Texas at all.
The crazy thing is, at one time my little town had THREE QVC outlets! We still have two of them now????
Great poncho!
Thanks Amy!
