A COLD SHOULDER DRESS

50 IS NOT OLD | A COLD SHOULDER DRESSI am seeing blue skies smiling on me, nothing but blue skies do I see. I know you were expecting to see my hair tutorial video today but I couldn’t get it to upload while I was traveling yesterday so instead, you are getting a normal post and the hair video will happen later on. In case you missed it, I have been in Florida and I just got back late last night. It was beautiful in Florida but I didn’t get to go to the beach except for the night I was there for a party.50 IS NOT OLD | A COLD SHOULDER DRESSIt was flat out cold the only day that we had available to go to the beach. It never got above 68 and that wasn’t until around 4:00. I am not going to lie, I was disappointed. I wasn’t disappointed in not wearing a bathing suit though. Hahaha! I went to listen to Gabe Sedlak talk about the business of Rodan and Fields and he was incredible. I am blown away by his story and at his ability to talk for hours with such passion. The second reason I went to Florida was to help Nan George celebrate her receiving her Lexus from Rodan and Fields. That was the first time I had gotten to attend a Lexus party and it was so much fun to see someone’s hard work and commitment pay off. The smores, awesome Mexican food, and free-flowing Champagne had “nothing” to do with my good time. Lol!50 IS NOT OLD | A COLD SHOULDER DRESSHow cute is this pin-tucked dress from Old Navy? I bought one back in the fall in burgundy (see here) and I loved everything about that dress. I was tickled when I saw the dress in this blue color and the addition of the cold shoulder made it a no-brainer. I am partial to blue because of my eyes, it helps them to stand out. But even if the color wasn’t to my liking I probably would have bought it anyway because of the comfort and the style details.

50 IS NOT OLD | A COLD SHOULDER DRESSI finally have on some of the new jewelry that Plunder just came out with this month. This earrings and necklace were the first set that I saw that I wanted. I really like turquoise jewelry and I think it looks fabulous in the summer. The earrings are called Jennie and they are a huge chunk of turquoise with a gold cross attached. These are not heavy at all. I have a turquoise leather cuff with a pendant attached on but both items are now retired. 50 IS NOT OLD | A COLD SHOULDER DRESSThe Grace necklace is beautiful. It has the same chunky turquoise stone and the gold cross winds around in the front. The bronze leaf and some other charms dangle and the long material tassels are a chartreuse (they say mustard) color. I am so glad they brought back the Brianna bangle. It was one of my favorites but I hated wearing something that wasn’t available.

I am not sure why when I link to jewelry items it won’t show up in my party  The only thing I know for you to do is to go to the highlighted party link and look for the item you want. That is why I am including the names of the items I have on.
50 IS NOT OLD | A COLD SHOULDER DRESSMy shoes are probably the most comfortable pair I own. They are my go-to pair when I can’t find anything I want. The color goes with almost anything and since they are so comfortable I never worry about my feet hurting later. These are Aerosoles and I think the color is called Honey.

50 IS NOT OLD | A COLD SHOULDER DRESSThe funny thing about being in a large group of R+F ladies is that everyone has long lashes. Lol! At the Lexus party, they had a little fire pit to help everyone stay warm. I was standing next to this lady when all of a sudden she starts talking about my eyelashes being so long. I am used to strangers commenting on them but I never expected another R+F lady to comment. Haha! If you want to take advantage of my Lash Boost special which is available through April 30th. Everyone who places an order for the Lash Boost (as a PC) will get their choice of a FREE Sunless Tanner, Sunscreen, or Body Moisturizer. You order both of the items (lash boost plus the free gift) so that they will be shipped to you together and I will reimburse you the amount of the product you chose. Here is the link to Lash Boost. This will be good through April 30th. It’s really true. Do something you love, and it’ll never feel like a day at the “office”. I remind myself of that saying often, so I don’t lose sight of how blessed I am right now, to be doing what I love, being able to manage my own time, and be around for the other important things in my life. On a more sartorial note, Tina, that blue is stunning on you. And I can’t gush enough over those charming pintucks!!!

Dress and jewellery are very nice, but I don’t care for the fabric tassle that hangs from the necklace.

Sounds like you had an awesome time at your “conference/party”, I guess a LEXUS, is better then a pink Cadillac!! 🙂 I love this blue dress, and I liked the burgundy one also. I will have to check out what Old Navy, haven’t been on that site or in the stores for years. Have a great week.

I love this dress, especially the pin tuck area. I would prefer a smaller open sleeve area but it’s a great dress overall and the color is beautiful. I looked back at the burgundy one and really like it too! They both look great on you!

Beautiful blue dress! Trying to access it through the link, it takes me to the Old Navy website but not the dress. Is it currently available?

Denise, I looked for the dress too but I bet because it is long sleeve that it has already been taken down.

Hi! I see you commenting on here often. My sister’s name is Charlsie. It’s such an unusual name. I’ve only met one other than my sister….and that Charlsie is my daughter’s age! LOL My sister is named for our father. We are from the Houston, TX area. If you don’t mind me asking, where are you from? And, how did you get your name? I apologize if I am being too personal.

Beautiful! I have to look at the Plunder site! Sorry you didn’t get to enjoy the beach more. It was chilly here the days you were here. Maybe next time bring Joe and have a real vacation.

That blue is a great color on you, Tania!! And don’t you hate it when the weather doesn’t cooperate? Not that it makes you have a bad time, but it can be a downer…

I was sad that I didn’t really get to experience the beach. But, since I went to gain R+F knowledge I was okay with that. Had it just been for a vacation I would have been bummed.
