A COLD SHOULDER DRESS

I am seeing blue skies smiling on me, nothing but blue skies do I see. I know you were expecting to see my hair tutorial video today but I couldn’t get it to upload while I was traveling yesterday so instead, you are getting a normal post and the hair video will happen later on. In case you missed it, I have been in Florida and I just got back late last night. It was beautiful in Florida but I didn’t get to go to the beach except for the night I was there for a party. It was flat out cold the only day that we had available to go to the beach. It never got above 68 and that wasn’t until around 4:00. I am not going to lie, I was disappointed. I wasn’t disappointed in not wearing a bathing suit though. Hahaha! I went to listen to Gabe Sedlak talk about the business of Rodan and Fields and he was incredible. I am blown away by his story and at his ability to talk for hours with such passion. The second reason I went to Florida was to help Nan George celebrate her receiving her Lexus from Rodan and Fields. That was the first time I had gotten to attend a Lexus party and it was so much fun to see someone’s hard work and commitment pay off. The smores, awesome Mexican food, and free-flowing Champagne had “nothing” to do with my good time. Lol! How cute is this pin-tucked dress from Old Navy? I bought one back in the fall in burgundy (see here) and I loved everything about that dress. I was tickled when I saw the dress in this blue color and the addition of the cold shoulder made it a no-brainer. I am partial to blue because of my eyes, it helps them to stand out. But even if the color wasn’t to my liking I probably would have bought it anyway because of the comfort and the style details.

I finally have on some of the new jewelry that Plunder just came out with this month. This earrings and necklace were the first set that I saw that I wanted. I really like turquoise jewelry and I think it looks fabulous in the summer. The earrings are called Jennie and they are a huge chunk of turquoise with a gold cross attached. These are not heavy at all. I have a turquoise leather cuff with a pendant attached on but both items are now retired.  The Grace necklace is beautiful. It has the same chunky turquoise stone and the gold cross winds around in the front. The bronze leaf and some other charms dangle and the long material tassels are a chartreuse (they say mustard) color. I am so glad they brought back the Brianna bangle. It was one of my favorites but I hated wearing something that wasn’t available.

My shoes are probably the most comfortable pair I own. They are my go-to pair when I can’t find anything I want. The color goes with almost anything and since they are so comfortable I never worry about my feet hurting later. These are Aerosoles and I think the color is called Honey.

The funny thing about being in a large group of R+F ladies is that everyone has long lashes. Lol! At the Lexus party, they had a little fire pit to help everyone stay warm. I was standing next to this lady when all of a sudden she starts talking about my eyelashes being so long. I am used to strangers commenting on them but I never expected another R+F lady to comment.
