WEAR YOUR CLOTHING IN MULTIPLE WAYS TO CREATE A LARGER WARDROBE
The holidays can be exhausting! There are so many things to get accomplished like decorating, shopping, wrapping gifts, baking, and preparing meals, etc. Then, afterward, we still have to clean up all of the mess left behind. I tried to scale back on things this year, but I’m still exhausted and trying to recover from all of the “FUN!”
Another thing that I’m trying to do is go back on my diet. When Thanksgiving rolled around, I decided to put my diet on hold and to enjoy all of the foods of the holidays. Whew! That included a lot of candy, cakes, carb-loaded breakfasts, and lots of butter, bread, and potatoes. It also included finding 5 pounds of weight that I had worked hard to lose, so I’m anxious to get back on track.
If you haven’t read about the diet program that I’m following, you can read about it in this post. Also, for those who are wanting to join me in the next round which starts on Jan. 3rd, the sign-up for the program starts December 30th. I’ll try to do a reminder each day until the sign-up period is over so that it gives everyone plenty of notice. This is the first time that they are going to be asking who referred you to the program, so please put Tania Stephens and not 50 Is Not Old in that area.
I know a lot of you have been busy over the past week or so, and you might have missed out on some of my previous posts. If you have time, glance back over those, including the one where I wore an animal print poncho. In that post, I mentioned that I was going to be styling one pair of pants in multiple ways, and today is a continuation of that post.
This faux-leather quilted puffer jacket is GORGEOUS!!!! The sheen is so pretty, and it feels just like leather. Faux-leather has really gotten better over the years and looks so real. This jacket is a dressy alternative to the moto jacket/puffer jacket/bomber jacket. This jacket looks sharp, modern, and slightly edgy all while looking dressy at the same time. I am wearing a size 1, and the jacket fits fabulously.
I must have been trying to copy a Johnny Cash look today since I’m dressed all in black. An all-black look is chic and sophisticated looking, but black can also be harsh. I tried to brighten the look by adding some red tassel earrings, but I honestly am not happy with the look. I would have preferred to have added my silver large hoop earrings instead. The black turtleneck is a size 1, and it fits me great.
Since I talked about black being harsh, here is a way to fix that issue. I added this beautiful Peacock-Print Satin blouse to the black pants and jacket, and it brightened up the look a ton! The vivid colors of the blouse are beautiful, and the attached tie can be worn in several different ways.
Just look at the sleeves on this blouse! They billow and drape so beautifully, and they add a huge amount of drama to this outfit. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love this blouse, and the fact that it is on sale for $39.00 is incredible! If you like the blouse, then grab it before your size sells out.
Here is a photo showing you the length of the blouse. It is a nice length that can be worn long or tucked. You can try both ways, and see which look you prefer.
These black foiled snake-print jeggings are gorgeous and make quite a statement! I love items that can be dressed up or down, and these pants are a prime example. I can see wearing these jeggings with a denim jacket and ankle boots for a casual look. The jeggings would also look amazing for a New Year’s Eve outfit, and I might have an example of that in a later post. I’m wearing a size .5 and they fit tight, but I wouldn’t want them any bigger.
I love Lapis, the dark blue and gold veins really appeal to me. These Abbie drop earrings c/o of Kendra Scott go great with this Peacock-Print blouse, and you’ll see me wearing them more in the future. The earrings also come in a couple of other colors, so check those out also.
If you like posts like this that show more than one way to wear your clothing, be sure to let me know. Also, which one of these outfits can you see yourself wearing? I hope you liked today’s post. If so, PLEASE remember to pin my post on Pinterest.

LOVE the black puffer jacket!!
Hi again, Tania. Hope your holidays have been fabulous! Could you share where you got your lovely Christmas tree and mantle garland? I have loved it in every post and I would like to change up my decorations for next year. Thanks so much, and Happy New Year! Etta Petit
You have great energy and inspiration Tanya! When I’m feeling old, you pick me up. Thank you!

I hope that you will continue doing some posts like this! It encourages me to create different outfits with items in my closet. I really like both of these outfits on you, and I think the red tassel earrings are perfect!
Great post! Love, love, love the quilted faux leather jacket!
Tania, do you still sell Rodan and Fields?
Yes, I still sell it! You can go to

I love a pop of color so I vote for the blue blouse outfit. I really like posts that shoe multiple ways to wear an outfit. That is one of my areas I am trying to grow in. I tend to buy an outfit then always wear it all together. I like versatility! It not only saves money but it gives something a whole new life!
I’m glad that you like these posts.
I love this post! I also read your post on how you lost your weight. You really look good. Thank you for sharing. I’m also trying to scale down my wardrobe. Just too many tee shirts. I’m an Eddie Bauer fan and they have the best tees. As soon as I get rid of one, I’m looking for it to wear. Anyway, love your blog. I’m having problems getting my comments through to you. They are saying I need a URL but when I put it in I never see it in your comments. When I put in 50isnotold.com, they ask for a URL. So I don’t know what to do. So if you get this, please let me know. If you don’t, tell me what to do. Thank you!! You and Joe have a Wonderful 2022.

Love when you show different ways to wear items. I’m one of those that just grab the same things over and over.
I do like when you show multiple ways to wear items. I feel I have too many pieces in my wardrobe that only look nice with one thing. I’m trying to have less pieces in my wardrobe that I love and can mix and match.
