Do you ever feel like the fashion world is moving a little too fast? One day it’s neon, the next it’s oversized everything, and frankly, I’m over trying to navigate it all! I’ve realized that I feel my best when I stick to the classics. Choosing “timeless” over “trendy” means you always look polished, and you aren’t constantly replacing your wardrobe every six months.
The Sophisticated Navy & White Look
This is your “Power Outfit.” Whether you’re headed to a business lunch or a spring luncheon, this look is crisp, fresh, and very “Hamptons.” It feels expensive because the color palette is so classic.
This navy button-down with the white floral print is a total classic. The fabric has a nice weight to it, so it doesn’t feel flimsy, and it skims over the midsection beautifully. It runs very true to size; I usually wear a large in button shirts to eliminate the button gap.
These white straight jeans feel a bit more tailored than your average denim. They fit well and are thick enough that they don’t show your unmentionables.
I added a cognac leather belt from Quice and an apple green raffia tote to break up the navy and white, which really pulls the whole look together.

This is “Weekend Casual” at its finest. It’s perfect for a spring brunch or a stroll through a local art festival. It feels preppy without being “costume-y.
Nothing says Lauren Ralph Lauren like a twin set. The navy stripes on the white background are so crisp. The knit sleeveless sweater and striped cardigan are soft but hold their shape, so they don’t “grow” throughout the day.
I admit that the Red Jasper necklace is a trend. But I wanted to add a pop of color, and accessories are the easiest way to participate in a trend.

This is for those moments when you want to be the most interesting person in the room! It’s a whimsical take on the nautical theme and would be fabulous for a vacation dinner or a spring garden party.
This sailboat-print blouse is a showstopper! Half stripes, half sailboats, it’s such a fun conversational piece. I normally size up when wearing buttoned shirts, but I was able to wear a medium in this one.
These navy linen wide-leg trousers are an essential during spring and summer. They give you a lot of movement and have a lovely weight that hides any lumps or bumps. They sit right at the natural waist for a very secure, comfortable fit.
I bought these last year in tan (see here) and realized that I needed to size down. This year, I bought the navy pair in a size 6, which fits great.
These red wedge sandals are the perfect “cherry on top.” The floral embroidery on the wedge is such a dainty, feminine touch, and the wedge base makes them comfortable enough to wear all day.
