Chico’s Beginning of Summer Try On Haul
Who, besides me, blinked, and almost half the year has gone? This has been the quickest year I can ever remember. Spring flies by, and winter drags on and on. Warm weather has finally reached almost everyone, the flowers are blooming, and I’m ready to get my summer style going. This post will help; here is my Chico’s Beginning of Summer Try On Haul. Btw, it is a pretty long post; go to the bathroom and grab a drink – you’re going to be here a while.
Chico’s Beginning of Summer Try On Haul
What I Wore To The Store
Whenever I try on clothing in a dressing room, I always wear a one-and-done outfit. There are so many clothing items everywhere that it is easier for me to only have to keep up with one item that is mine. This caftan/kimono was so comfortable on my trip to my parents, and my mom noticed it the minute I walked in the door. I recently did a Best Caftan Dresses and Muumuus 2024 post, so check that out if you’d like one.
Chico’s Sizing
Figuring out what size you wear from Chico’s isn’t hard, but it is different than what most brands use. If you know your U.S. size, you can easily convert it to Chico’s size using their size chart. For example, if you usually wear a size 10, you would likely wear a Chico’s size 1. They are size-inclusive, and most items are available in Petite and Plus sizes.
I love the Travelers™ collection from Chicos. This collection of dresses, skirts, pants, tops, etc., allows you to arrive at your destination wrinkle-free! I thought this Palm Print Tank Dress would look great for a beach vacation or any time you want to look festive.
I’m wearing a size 1, and it fits me great. There are no lumps and bumps, and the material is extremely comfortable.
When I’m traveling, either by car or plane, I want something on my arms. Joe runs hot, so he keeps the air conditioner cranked up. I keep my heated seat on and wear a cardigan or jacket.
The store didn’t have a size 1 which I needed, so I’m wearing a slightly larger size. The Travelers Cropped Cardigan is perfect for this dress and would be one you could wear with lots of outfits.
I love this outfit. It is casual but still dressy enough for a lunch date with friends.
The Travelers™ Floral V-Neck Top has longer sleeves and covers my upper arms nicely. The pretty floral print is vibrant against the black background, and I chose to wear the top with white. It would also look great with black; I think I’ll try that look next time to see if it looks dressier.
I love the No Stain Pull-On Fray Hem Skort, and I can’t believe I left the store without it. After looking at these photos, I’m ordering this. The skort has a frayed hem and a high waist, and I tucked in the top so you could see the details.
You don’t have to worry about a Marilyn Monroe moment with this cute skort!
The Touch Of Cool™ Tropics Ruched Banded Hem Top has a similar color palette. The white background gives the top an airy look, and it isn’t quite as vibrant as the black top.
A lot of women don’t like showing their legs, so I switched out the skort for a pair of Linen Culotte Pants. This is a similar look, but only ankles will be on display.
I’m a fan of banded tops! They help to create a defined waist, but the blouson top hides my tummy lumps and bumps. Can we all say, “Yes, please!”
Ladies who live in the hottest parts of the country need clothing to help them stay cool. The Linen Culotte Pants are very lightweight, and the wide legs will let the breeze cool you off as you walk. Since these are so lightweight, you can see the outline of the pockets. If that bothers you, there is a black version, and that wouldn’t be an issue with it.
This ended up being one of my favorite looks in this try-on haul. I knew I would like the print of the shorts, but I was surprised to like the length.
I rarely, like never, wear Bermuda length shorts. A 5″ – 7″ short is my preferred length, but I loved the print, so I tried them on. The Brigitte 10″ Swirl Print Shorts fit great, and I loved the width of the legs. They are a cross between a wide leg and a slim leg, and I think they give you the perfect silhouette!
The Ribbed High Neck Tank was another item I didn’t expect to like, but it looked great with everything I styled it with. The straps were wide enough that I didn’t worry about my bra straps showing, and it fit me like a glove. I’m wearing a size 1, and I wish it came in a 1.5 so I had a little more room. I debated back and forth until it came time to check out, but I couldn’t leave it in the store.
I love this outfit! What do you think about it? It is a simple navy and white outfit which looks like a million bucks!
I already own these High Rise Wide Leg Jeans, but I wanted to style them in case you haven’t seen me wear them. They seem to run a little on the small side, so I sized up to a 1. If you are between sizes, be sure to go up at least one size.
Here is the same look but with more of a summery vibe.
The Summer Romance Swirl Midi Cardigan has an elbow length sleeve to give a little warmth when the air is cranked up. Adding a third piece to an outfit always elevates it and takes the look to a different level.
But, in this case, I might like the outfit better without the cardigan. The Hexie Multi-Strand Necklace, Cassie Gold-Tone Circle Earrings, and Gold Tone Beaded Stretch Bracelets elevate the outfit while still keeping the overall look simple.
Cute, cute, cute!!! The Poplin Cropped Pants check off a lot of boxes for me! The material is comfortable and stretchy, they have pockets, a capri length is in style this year, and the zip cargo pockets at the thigh are trending. ✔️ ✔️ ✔️ ✔️
As I said above, the navy Ribbed High Neck Tank looked great with everything!
I love the light wash color of the Wide Leg Cropped Trouser Jeans. Normally, I wear medium or dark wash jeans, so I loved trying something different. In fact, I loved them so much that they are now residing in my car. Lol! I haven’t brought my purchases into the house yet.
The Lace Crochet Poncho comes in several colors, but this bright green grabbed my attention from across the store.
I wanted to wear a matching tank under it, but the store was sold out. So, I wore the navy Ribbed High Neck Tank under it, and I liked the way the navy allowed the crochet pattern to stand out. The poncho is sewn down the sides, so it has arm holes.
You can even wear bright colors with a light wash. The V-Neck Perfect Tee is a gorgeous shade, and I couldn’t decide if it was coral or red. Turns out the color is Watermelon Punch.
I liked the watermelon tee with the light wash, but it looks richer with the darker jeans.
The Girlfriend Patchwork Ankle Jeans are perfect for those who want something unique with visual interest. The embroidery isn’t overdone, and I love the small amount of patchwork detail. The jeans are a slim fit and would be perfect for anyone who is still missing their skinny jeans.
I have the white High Rise Wide Leg Jeans back on with the watermelon V-Neck Perfect Tee. To tie the two items together, I added the No Iron™ Linen Reef 3/4 Sleeve Shirt. The reef print is pretty, and I love the color, but the NO IRON feature is my favorite part. A button shirt is so versatile since it can be worn in many ways. I’m wearing it here like a cardigan or jacket.
One of my favorite ways to wear a button shirt is tied at the waist. You can wear it buttoned with a tie waist or open with a tank or tee underneath. I decided to let the tee extend past the hem of the shirt, and I liked the look. What do you think?
Whew! Are you as tired as I am? You can tell when I do these try on hauls how much I love the clothing by how much I style. Lol! The only bad thing was that the dressing room was TINY! It was very hard to get photos, but I did my best.

The shirt tied at the waist looks very cute! I love the colors and the patchwork jeans!!
Chicos is my favorite, I have several of these pieces and enjoyed your try on haul👏👏
I am a Chico’s fan and love your try on posts. I get so much inspiration from the way you style their pieces.
The things we do to save time enjoy you posts always♥️
You look good in everything, it must be hard to decide not to take it all home with you!
Your sorbet story made me laugh- that’s something I’d do! Thanks for the dressing room try on.
I pulled a “Joe” by not reading the directions. Lol!
Love, love, love this post!
Great try on! Especially loved the last orange and white combo with the shirt tied over the top. I’ll bet Joe voted for the white fringed skort. Your legs looked fabulous! Seriously, we appreciate the effort it takes to spend the day in a tiny stall trying all these things on, messing up your hair, AND taking photos! Kudos to you. Super fun for us! Lol!
Lol! I am thrilled everyone likes my try-ons, but you are right…they aren’t fun.
Love the collection. I especially loved the coral and white.
Love love love the navy and white outfit with that midi cardigan! One review said the fabric was bad. What is your take on the fabric? No recipes…never hear of that Ninja appliance. let us know if you love it and if it’s something to add to our secret indulgence list.
Deanna, I’m not sure what they meant. I didn’t end up buying the cardigan, so I can’t go back and feel it again.
I love your try on hauls! I can’t always get to the stores to do the same. I appreciate and enjoy seeing your hauls at my favorite retailers,
Lauren, I order almost everything online. If I wasn’t traveling to my parents or daughters, I wouldn’t ever go into the stores either.
I love the navy mix and match collection — so classy and cool. Love your haircut, too!
Ooh need those poplin cropped pants! Great post! 🌞
Loved the caftan!! Looks so cute on you!! I want one.
I like the white skort!
Everything is so cute and looks good on you! Summer Inspiring
Thanks for all the ideas.
I love your verse of the day!
All of these Chico clothes look great on you. I love all the looks you put together and too bad I don’t have the budget to purchase them all. I see that capris are coming back but every time I see a lady in them, it looks frumpy and dated. The blue and white clothing and the orange and white were my favorites.
I love this nice selection of clothing.
Love the navy and white!!
I love all the bright color prints. They look great on you!
The navy and white combos are everything!! You look amazing. Hope you purchased the navy tank and the white crops or skort
Loved this post!! Chico’s is my “go to” store, and the outfits that you styled gave me lots of ideas! Thanks!
Everything is beautiful but I love the green poncho!!
I like the bermuda shorts on you and all the wide leg jeans and pants. It seems forever for May to get here for me. I have surgery tomorrow and I have been waiting since February. It’s finally looks like it will happen. 🙏
Ooh, la la! These are gorgeous summer selections, Tania, and you look stunning in every outfit. I especially love the navy and white ensembles – such a classic combination for everyone. And the coral/white outfit is beautiful, too. Thanks for the research. Sometimes Chico’s doesn’t grab my attention, but these certainly did!
WOW! You tried on so many pretty clothes at Chicos! My favorites are the navy & white outfit and the watermelon tops. Of course, you look great in all of it.
Your stories just crack me up! That ninja creami does not look like it makes very much. Love the Chicos Lace Poncho. Glad to see it comes in Navy blue!
I’m gonna need a bigger closet…
These are gorgeous options!! Love Chicos!!
Though the room was tiny, you did a great job in getting all the photos. I do like the capri pants and the tank, and the watermelon punch top. You are looking much slimmer again.
I love Chicos!!! I have that tank in a couple colors…great quality. The orange and white outfit screams vacation! I needed today’s verse! Happy Wednesday❤❤❤
I love my Chicos skorts! On my way to pick up the white denim!
That green poncho caught my eye hanging in the dressing room, and it looks fantastic with the navy!
Cute summery looks!
Great post! Love the palm print dress.
Such cute outfits! I have a questionfor you: I’m 5’8″ and I seldom (i.e., never!) wear heels. Are flats okay with wide leg pants, maxi dresses, etc.? I know that proposition is important to an outfit but I don’t know what shoes to wear.
Cheryl, flats are fine with all of those outfits. I’ve worn them with wide leg pants and maxi’s, so have fun strutting your stuff.
So much to love in today’s post! The navy and white swirl cardigan is beautiful. So is the no iron shirt with the white pants.
I’m actually headed to Chicos today so this came at just the right time. I also skipped the Bible verse but went back to read it after I read someone else’s comment. Boy did this speak to me!
❤️❤️❤️
My favorite was the navy combination. Loved all the styles!
Wow! Great try-on! I agree the navy ribbed tank is great! It is very slimming.
Love everything!
Love the outfits! I have put the navy and white shorts in my cart, they look terrific on you!
The navy crochet poncho is gorgeous. I always seem to go with blue but the green looks great on you.
I usually go with blue too, but the green was too pretty not to show.
Love Chico’s.
Love all the Chico’s outfits, especially the floral maxi dress.
Love the button down shirt with the tee showing below! Wouldn’t have thought to wear it like that.
I’m glad you liked the look. I wondered what people would think.
Love all the looks. Built in shorts on a skirt is genius.
Thanks for all of your great posts! I loved the Chico’s try on haul today!! I also just bought a Ninja Creami and can’t wait to try it out!
My daughter got a Ninja Creami and she loves it! Great alternative to ice cream for those who don’t want the calories! I guess it makes milk shakes, ice cream, smoothies, and sherbet! Great for hot weather days! She said, she went to DQ to purchase a blizzard and they want $7 plus dollars so she went to the store and purchased the Ninja Creami
I’ll hoping it helps me with my sweet tooth.
Thank you for all that work! I love navy & white in summer! Needed today’s Bible verse too!
I love baby and white too. It is so refreshing.
Love love love everything in this morning post. When it comes to Chicos they always have very nice clothing for style. Thank you!!
Oh I love love love chicos!!! Now to pick and choose !
These outfits are stunning. I was at Chicos last week and did not see the vision you created with these outfits. Beautiful!
lol! You just have to grab some items and start trying them on.
Love the jeans from Chico’s – the embroidered jeans and the cropped wide leg jeans on you. The navy blue shorts and tee is a cute ensemble also. The wedges look so good on you.
I don’t shop much at Chicos but these outfits piqued my interest! Especially the poncho, the stain free skort ( now how do they do that!) and the swirl shorts.
Those are all great picks!
