CHADWICK’S OF BOSTON = AFFORDABLE AND QUALITY
Most of you know I am from a small town in Virginia that has very little shopping opportunities. You may not know that it has always been that way for me. The town where I grew up was just as small, and had even fewer places to go shopping. As I got older, I moved to a town with more clothing stores, but I had no money to go shopping with. Working in an environment where you needed to look professional was a strain on my already tiny bank account.
Those were the days of catalogs, back when online shopping was still just a dream. After a few hits and misses, I found Chadwick’s of Boston and I was thrilled. I would get out my Chadwick’s of Boston catalogs, and pour over them looking for just the right items. I needed pieces that were affordable, but they had to last me for a few years, so the quality had to be good. I worked in an accounting office where I dealt with individuals who had a lot of money. When I wore the items from Chadwick’s of Boston, I felt comfortable in the way I looked.
A Chadwick’s of Boston catalog has not been in my mailbox in years, so I was surprised when I was contacted about doing a post. All those memories came flooding back to me as I started scanning their clothing, this time online instead of in a catalog. I knew I wanted a nice blazer, one that I could wear this fall and winter. I also wanted a classic style blazer that I could wear for years to come. I found that and much more in this Wool Herringbone Blazer.
This view shows the back vent which makes moving and stretching easy.
This blazer meets all my needs, it is modern yet classic, it is affordable, it fits nicely, it is made well, and it is stylish. What more could I ask for? It doesn’t matter if you are a housewife or an executive, Chadwick’s of Boston has a look for you.
I am so glad that my old friend, Chadwick’s of Boston, is back in my life. I hope to be adding a few more items to my wardrobe soon, starting with this ribbed turtleneck sweater. It would go perfectly under my new blazer.

You have very similar tastes to myself and we actually share several pieces and purses…lol. I remember ordering from Chadwicks when I worked in Banking and needed great professional pieces. Thanks for reminding me of this great place to shop. I love the necklaces, too… please let us know what they are along with the bag that just ties it all together!
I absolutely love this look. You look fantastic. And I too had forgotten all about Chadwicks. Love your bag – I just ordered one like it off Ebay yesterday. Your scarf blog Saturday sent me on the quest for the bag in that post and found this one instead. We have very similar taste in bags. LOL! Have a wonderful Wednesday!
Oh the memories! I too used to love Chadwicks! Thanks for featuring it … Now it is back on my radar!
Your necklaces are ABSOLUTELY fabulous.
And I just wore similar boots yesterday!!

That is a fabulous look Tania! Love the pearls and chambray, once upon a time I was tall and loved being able to find & order tall sizes from Chadwicks. It seems now that I am the incredible shrinking woman, tall jeans and slacks are too long. Hope you have a great day!
You brought back many memories of my young working life, much like yours and ordering from this catalog. I’m pleasantly surprised by the choices and prices. Thanks for the reminder and walk down memory lane! Love the whole look!
I really like this outfit especially on you! I wouldn’t have thought to put the jean shirt, pearls and wool herringbone jacket together. Very Sharp. I too forgot about Chadwick’s and I’m from Boston…HA! My sisters are all petite with myself being the “tall” one at 5’4″. I will have to remind them of Chadwick’s, petite sizes are hard to come by. Thanks Tania. I might not comment but I follow you everyday and enjoy your posts.
What a great look! So timeless.
Great outfit, this one especially caught my eye, because of the blazer. I’m there with you on not giving them a thought for years, then just this year I requested one of their catalogs. I was looking for a classic navy blazer, similar to one you styled some time ago. I think yours was from JC Penney? Anywho, I never ended up ordering as our weather went from cool spring to broil, until a few weeks ago. Seeing this herringbone blazer has got me going back online to check out what they have for fall! Thanks for the “nudge”!
