I am finally back in Virginia and I am still on the worn out side. It is so much fun to visit with family but it is so nice to crawl into your own bed at night. When I go home to visit I sleep in the upstairs sunroom which is 3 walls of windows. I love looking out over the town below (they live on a mountain) and seeing all the lights as I go to sleep. I love waking up and watching the sunrise in the mornings. Joe and I were talking one morning that the skies looked like cotton candy. You have to realize where we live deep down in the mountains you do not see the sun until it has already risen.I bet my poor mother and father were glad to see all of us leave. Lol! I am sure they like visiting with everyone but their house gets trashed in the flurry of activity. There were 7 children under the age of 16 in the house and 5 of them under the age of 8. It was wild!!! There were tea parties (water everywhere) watercolors (more water everywhere) and American Girls dolls everywhere. Not to mention the 4 dogs and 2 cats that kept running through the house. I bet mom and dad are glad the Christmas only comes once a year. HahahaI know that Christmas is already over but I wore this outfit earlier last week and I am just now getting it on the blog. You will have to use your imagination and picture a different scarf with this outfit. If it hadn’t been Christmas I would have worn something like the ones below.
These are the same magnetic bling bracelets that I have worn almost the entire month of December. They are so easy to put on plus I love the sparkle they give off. The black and red one are specials and I don’t know if they will be available in the upcoming catalogs or if they will retire them. The black one is the Ezra and the red one is the Kylie. The plain crystal one that goes with anything is the Hugo. The two silver bangles are a couple of my favorites and I think it is because of the inscriptions. The Abela says “Blessed” and the Raelynn which says “I Choose Happy” are easy on as well. The By The Book bracelet can be found at the Christian Books store and there are several different choices. This is a pretty decent picture of the charms on the bracelet. You can see the J which stand for John, the number 3, and the typewriter key in the number 16.This suede two-tone purse has sure been carried a lot this month. Some of you ask how often I change my purse and the truth is it just depends on my mood. I will carry a solid black or solid brown purse because they match everything AND because I hate doing the whole change-over routine. Occasionally I will take a picture with a purse I “mean” to carry that day and then decide I don’t have time to switch them out. I just grab the one that is already done and head out the door. But, I do try to keep items in wristlets inside my purse so it does make the transfers easier. One day I wore this outfit, which I did not like, and Dee commented that she thought I had on a sweatshirt at first. She said that she thought I had made even a sweatshirt look stylish. Well, the light bulb went off when I read that and guess what I have one today. Yep, a sweatshirt! I thought that most of us wear sweatshirts around the house and I wanted to show how easy it was to dress it up. It does help that this sweatshirt is a solid color and has no writing on the front. This sweatshirt is several years old and it is one that I got from Old Navy. Mine is long and does not have a band around the bottom. One of the shirts below is over 500.00! Can you guess which one? Hahaha
I put on these white jeans and Joe looked at me and said, “Are you supposed to wear white this late in the year?” Can you believe he questioned me? Lol! I told him we could wear white ANY time of the year. He simply shrugged his shoulders and said, “whatever.” I like the white with the black. I think this helped to dress the outfit up. It would have been fine with regular jeans, but the white made it look dressier. What do you think?
I hope to have the blog back to normal in the next day or two. I am busy working on a “resolutions” post. Whew! Those just make me want to throw my hands in the air. Do you gurls make resolutions? Do you stick with the resolutions? We will talk more on this on Saturday, so be thinking about it.
BTW, just be thankful that I went with Dee’s suggestion of the sweatshirt and not Mary’s comment about a bathrobe and curlers. Lol! You better be careful what you comment to me. Hahaha!
The Lash Boost holiday special from Rodan and Fields officially ends on Monday, if supplies last. I think the Lash Boost will still be available at the same price, you just won’t get the free Lashes bag and mini eye cream. If you were thinking about ordering it anyway, then you might as well take advantage of the free items while they are available. Here are my pictures I took, but I’ll be the first to say that I am horrible at taking pictures of my results. The first picture was taken on November 16th and the second one on December 16th. I forgot to take the second picture until I had already put on my eyeshadow and eyeliner. I DO NOT have on mascara in either picture. I can tell a noticeable difference because my lashes keep hitting my glasses when I have them on. To take advantage of the offer go to www.tstephens5.myrandf.com You will want to order this as a PC to take advantage of the 10% discount and free shipping and handling. If you need more information about what a PC is, just email me at fiftyisnotold@gmail.com and I’ll fill you in.
Can you see yourself (or your daughter or granddaughters) taking advantage of an opportunity to “partner” with me? You can join with me on a journey that could be life changing. I am interested in taking on new business partners. I am interested in seeing where these opportunities can take me. SO, I am willing to help you join with me.
Joining Plunder is 99.00. That is not a huge amount of money for starting your own business but I want to make it even easier. If you join Plunder with me, I will offer to pay half of your kit back to you. If you are interested, then email me for the details at fiftyisnotold@gmail.com
Joining Rodan and Fields has three levels you can join at. If you join me in my business with at least the 395.00 kit, I will also offer to reimburse you half of your kit back to you. You could start a business and only have 200.00 invested, email me for the details at fiftyisnotold@gmail.com
Opportunities come in different forms and sometimes they come when we aren’t even looking. I can tell you honestly that I am so glad I decided to blindly follow my instincts, even though I had no idea where it was taking me. I can’t wait to see where it is taking me next. Come join me.
Anytime you would like to share my posts on Facebook or Twitter, I would appreciate that. It helps get my blog out to more people, and I am sure you just want to spread the entertaining sayings I have. Lol!

I truly am enjoying your posts. Thank you so much for sharing and your honesty. Im going shopping today for this look.
May God continue to guide & bless you!
I just stumbled across your blog. Thank you for reinforcing the idea that Godly women over 50 can look amazing! Great style, and very cool John 3:16 bracelet.
Tania, I love the sweatshirt. If I could find one like that, I would wear them. I think the shirts of today just look sloppy. The sleeves are way too big, I dont like the band on the bottom and I hate that the shoulder seams are halfway down to the elbow. But you look great in that outfit. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
I’ve been wearing this combo of white pants with black top and boots a lot this fall/winter! I love the casual dressiness of it! I only hope I look as good as you do in it!! Welcome home!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! ?
For a Christmas get-together, I wore a plain bright red sweatshirt over jeans, with a lacy white scarf. It was very festive! I think of plain sweatshirts as blank canvases for showing off accessories.

Yay, Mary Ann! I am so glad that you were inspired to find the look for yourself.
