BRIGHT COLORS HELPS WITH MY OUTLOOK ON LIFE
Continuing on my self-care theme, bright colors help with my outlook on life. I NEED them. Of course, I know that everyone is different, but my mind needs to see bright colors and vibrant hues to keep my sanity. I like a sunny disposition, a sunny day, and that also extends to my wardrobe. I’ve been wearing so many neutrals and black outfits that I had almost forgotten how good I feel when I am wearing bright colors.
Bright Colors
I wore a bright cobalt blue cardigan for Monday’s blog post, and then yesterday, I wore a navy sweater and added pops of bright color with my handbag and shoes. When I was scrolling through my Instagram feed, I was drawn to the photos where I was wearing bright colors. My face was more alive and radiant, so I decided to finish out the week wearing colorful outfits.
Do you like to wear bright colors, or do you shy away from any colors that draw attention to you? That was me years ago, the one who never wore red because I was afraid that someone would look at me. I just wanted to fade into the background and not be on anyone’s radar. I’m not sure when I finally got up the nerve to wear something red, but I must have survived the experience since I now LOVE wearing red. In fact, I love wearing bright colors in general!
This bright pink lurex sweater is lightweight, and it looks great worn alone or with a layered piece like this vest or a cardigan. It can be worn for either dress or casual wear, and it is a lightweight knit fabric. The fabric has plenty of stretchiness, so you don’t feel confined, and none of my rolls are shown. I “ALMOST” ordered the golden shimmer color to wear with the faux fur vest but went with a bright color, pink, instead. I am wearing a size 1 in the sweater, and I think it fits me great.
Animal print is big in the fashion industry, and this year is no exception. These tiger print chandelier earrings give some flair to my outfit, and they are lightweight, so they don’t tug on my ear. The earrings are perfect to wear with this vest, but they will look great with a lot of my clothing. They are a part of the jewelry sale going on that is buy one and get one 50% off!
Okay, let’s talk about this faux fur vest! 😍 The rich and luxurious look of this tiger print vest is amazing. This vest is a little longer in length, which I find flattering. As you can see, the vest hits me right below my hips, helping to create the long, lean look that I am after.
The colors are deep and rich, and the sheen from the fur looks incredible. This beautiful, stunning, gorgeous statement vest is on sale for 50% off!!!
These jeans are on repeat. I wore them for the photoshoot for Monday’s post, and I couldn’t help myself from grabbing them for this look. I love these jeans, but I decided to wear them with this outfit to balance out my body. The vest is bigger and bulkier than my normal body, making me look bigger on the top half of my body. These dark rinse flare jeans help to create symmetry by making my bottom half look wider. This is a good tip for all of you apple shape ladies, balance out your wider top half by wearing wide-leg, straight leg, or flare leg pants.
I am wearing my usual size 10 in these jeans, so I would say they run true to size. The length is a tad bit long at 33″, so consider that. I prefer my jeans on the longer side to wear heels, and just in case they shrink in the wash.
I opted to wear my Vince Camuto black Gradina block heel booties with these flare jeans. The 3 1/2″ block heel is perfect for these jeans that are 33″ long. I love the brown sole on these booties and the way that it outlines the black leather upper. These run true to size, and I am wearing my normal size 9. The booties are on sale for 33% off, so if you are in the market for a good pair of black ankle boots, be sure to check these out.

Love,love,love this outfit!
Hi Tania, I think you look your best and really stunning in bright bold saturated colors – so called hues. This magenta pink is a hue. I like also bright colorful colors, but I look best in tints (a hue where a tiny bit of white is added so the color pops). Love to see your colorful posts and they are an inspiration to my daily outfits.
I really like the combination of the pink and fur vest. You could carry your hot pink bag with this outfit…Cute!
YEP! That would be really cute with this look.
lipstick, lipstick please….. or at least a balm with some shimmer 🙂
Lol! That was the first thing I noticed when I looked at the photos today. I forget to put my jewelry on a lot, I’ve forgotten my mascara, and once I took photos in my houseshoes. Lol!
This is so me!! I know I’ve said this before in comments but your use of colour and style is what attracted me to you from the beginning. Colour makes me feel alive so I’m almost giddy with excitement seeing what you are wearing today. The pink is the star but that vest, those earrings and killer jeans are close behind. I want them all! Wearing cobalt blue today myself. 💙
I am so happy that you love my use of color! It makes me feel more alive!
the title of your post says it all ! where I’m at – utah we are grey, brown and hazy ! definitely need extra color in the winter here….
I think that we are tired of the winter blahs, especially since we had to stay home more than normal.
Ever since I read bubble gum pink was the 2021 color trend I have been on the lookout for that color as well as mint green and pale yellow. I’m excited to wear these cheerful colors:) Have a great week:)
I am so ready for spring, and I am getting ready to place some orders Thursday to get some things in.
Another great outfit. Looks great on you. The pants are extremely flattering
I love these pants so much!
Beautiful! I love bright colors too. They really make my day! Great outfit Tania!
Me too, Nancy!!! I love brightly colored items!
What size are you wearing in the faux fur vest? Can you describe the fit?
I am wearing a size 1 in the vest, and it fits me great.
Great outfit!
Thanks so much, Kathryn!
Love the sweater! The sale plus a gift card I got for Xmas made for a quick purchase decision this morning!
Good use of that gift card!!! It is such a bright and pretty color.
I love the look today! This question is off topic – what is your favorite self tanning lotion? I’d love to hear your thoughts. My coloring is similar to yours.
Thanks!!
Kristy from Kalamazoo
