AN OUTFIT THAT MATCHES MY SUNNY ATTITUDE
Good morning sunshine!!! This picture goes to show you how a sunny day can change your attitude! I can’t look at this photo without smiling, and the bright colors also help. Cloudy days and dark colors work on my mindset so much, and I can’t imagine living in an area that rains all the time or has limited sunlight. When my daughter was in Alaska, we mailed her a light therapy light to help with Vitamin D. Thankfully, she didn’t live in an area where it was dark all the time, but it didn’t have as much daylight at what she was used to having here in Virginia.
I think that she used it some, but probably not as much after the first year. I assume that her body adjusted to having less light just like it did to the temperature being colder. I don’t know how she ever adjusted to all of the rain though. Juneau Alaska is a rainforest; it just isn’t a tropical rainforest. They have rain there almost all the time, so when the sun comes out for the day, it is so lovely. The last time that we visited, it was great weather, and we only had one or two days of light rain. People who live there never carry umbrellas, but everyone has a great waterproof racket with hoods. And let me tell you, those “good” raincoats cost a FORTUNE! Don’t ask me why I ended up talking about the lack of sunlight and rain when you have this beautiful sunny picture. Lol!
On a brighter note, how do you like this bright coral dress? Do you remember seeing this dress before? I wore it in this post (here.) The dress is from Old Navy, and it is a sleeveless swing dress. I love the swing dress style since it doesn’t cling or show any of my lumps and bumps. And, I like a sleeveless style dress (even though my arms are not in perfect shape) because I can easily add a jacket or cardigan to the look without having to worry about the sleeves bunching up and looking bulky. Could these Jaylen earrings match this dress any better??? I already had these earrings, and I was shocked at how nice they looked with this outfit. I keep telling you that if you buy things in the colors that you like, then you will be surprised how nicely everything will coordinate.
Yes, I am once again wearing my favorite trio of bracelets. These are the Lelani, Lucille, and Ramona. I am partial to gold jewelry, so these bracelets work well for me.
Michael Kors espadrilles for the win! I love the Berkley espadrille, and you will be seeing me wear this a lot this summer. They are a perfect nude color to match almost anything, and I love the gold zipper detail on the front. The platform sole gives me a little extra height, and I can’t wait to wear these with my bell-bottomed jeans. Here is the link to the shoes.
I have made you wait long enough. I know that you are dying to hear about this gorgeous cardigan. The springy floral print is what drew my attention to the sweater. I fell in love with the print at first sight. Lol! I like a 3/4 sleeve because I find it the most flattering, and the hip length is perfect for jeans and well as dresses. This is machine washable and lay flat to dry, and I am wearing a size medium, and it fits me perfectly. Here is the link to the sweater.

Love the sandals. Shoes, sandals boots are always a struggle to find a comfortable pair of. I look at my own feet and think I must have a deformed pair as comfort is hard to find with a broad foot and a high instep lol ! Still no doubt I will buy many more pairs before I find real comfort. Actually, both times you have used this dress in your blog, I thought it was perfect for what I’m needing. My husband and I do one to two missions trips to Kenya or Tanzania per year. Since we are teaching pastors, we ladies need to wear dresses. This looks so comfortable! And since it keeps popping up, I decided to get it! 🙂

I know I am definitely in the minority but I wish panty hose would come back in style!?. I think almost everyone’s legs look better (especially with dresses with hem lines above the knee) and control top holds everything in ? without having to wear Spanx.
