A UTILITY VEST WITH A FEMININE FLAIR
Sitting outside in the afternoons has become a favorite activity for me. I take my laptop out with me, light the citronella bug candles, and then work on the blog post for the next day. My wifi is barely strong enough to connect, but if it gets too weak, I make my cell phone a hotspot and connect with that. The temperatures in the afternoon are perfect for me, but not for Joe. He will sit outside with me for about ten minutes, and then he will head back into the house. I am not sure if the air conditioner is what draws him inside, or if it is the computer that is calling his name. Lol!
We keep our heat pump set on 71 degrees, and that is plenty cool. I even find myself dragging a fuzzy throw over my legs some nights because I get chilled sitting and writing. Joe, on the other hand, is one that is hot all of the time. It reminds me of a cartoon that I have seen before where the woman has all of the covers in the bed, and the man doesn’t have any. Lol! That is how it is in my house almost nightly. I think that I take after my daddy; he is always freezing. I bet that he is reading this right now with a long pair of pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and possibly a coat on while playing on the computer. And, I forgot to mention that the logs in the fireplace might also be turned on just for good measure. Lol! Mom and dad’s house is the only one that I ever visit where I am actually hot. Lol! I have figured out the way to dad’s heart is not in food; it is in cold-weather gear. Every Christmas, we try and come up with something that will keep him warm, and then he will love his gift.
I found this vest the other day when I went to Cato Fashions. What I loved about this vest is the fact that it has a feminine twist to a utility vest. The draped waterfall front is a style that I prefer over the standard utility vest. It is 100% rayon and is washable. I am wearing a large, but I really could have used a medium instead. Here is the link to the vest.
A lot of you have asked about the way that I get my pictures taken, and if you look closely in the reflection of my sunglasses, you will see my tripod. Lol! The Lucia sunglasses were an incentive gift that I earned, and I LOVE them! These are by Lilly Pulitizer, and they are polarized and have 100% UV A/B Protection. I liked how my Dakota gold diamond-shaped earrings picked up on the thin gold across the top of the glasses. These are lightweight metallic leather, and they are a 3.5″ drop. The Felicity necklace has a natural wood bead circle on a gold chain, and it is adjustable from 31 to 34 inches. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the Bronson bracelet when I placed my order. It is a large cuff with leopard print accented with gold, and it has a magnetic closure. It is 7.5″ – 8″ with a removable extender. I ended up liking this bracelet more than I thought I would. Lol!
My pants are a classic chino material with a modern update in the form of this utility-inspired pant. They feature a cropped and cuffed hem and stretch knit fabrication. I feel like these are similar to a boyfriend style because they are looser in the fit that a lot of pants. I am wearing my usual size 10, which fits great. I have not washed these yet, so they could shrink up some since they are 98% cotton and 2% spandex. I bought these at Cato Fashions when I purchased the vest. Here is the link, and the color that I am wearing is Oregano. My leather shoes are by Clarks Collection, and they are called the Valeri-Jane. I like the perforated upper, a peep toe, an ankle hook-and-loop closure, and they have a padded insole and a textured outsole. They fit true to size; I am wearing my usual size 9.

Tania, I always LOVE your posts. They are sure to inspire, encourage and make me laugh! I would love to try some of your samples! My problem areas are especially under my eyes where the skin is thinning and I have dark circles. My skin is also drying at the age of 59! Thank you!
Thanks so much, Cathy!!! I love the blog, and I am glad that you are enjoying it. Watch for my email.
Hi, Tania…..Well, I feel like the old lady of the group, having just turned 66. However, if there’s any left, I would love to try the radiant liquid, please. Love the utility vest today!!!
Deb, you are not the old lady of the group. Lol! Remember, we are only as old as we feel, age is just a number. I will get the RD sample out to you, watch for my email.
Hi Tania, tried to comment earlier and I don’t think it worked, so I apologize in advance if my comment shows up twice. I would love to try any redefine product for my 63 year young skin.
Outfit is cute and the vest very flattering.
Kristine, it sometimes goes in a holding pattern, but thanks for going the extra mile.
Great outfit Tania! It is very flattering on you.
Thanks, Susan!
Love the vest, Tania! If possible, I’d love to try anything for the eye area and the microdermabrasion paste. Thank you and keep up the good work! Love your blog!
Robbie, that vest is really cute and so affordable! Watch for my email coming your way.
I’m really liking olive pants lately. Yours are so cute! Would love to try the microdermabrasion paste and the radiant defense liquid, since I’m searching for a new foundation.
Sandy, I am liking the olive pants also. I already have your address, so I’ll get the samples out to you shortly.
I’m going to cato to look for that vest. I love a good vest. Please send me some samples. 58 year old rough, dry, sensitive skin with dark circles under my eyes. I have yet to find a skin care that helps my rough, dryness. I’ve tried some expensive, Obaji and Lancôme, and less expensive like drugstore and Paula’s, but didn’t feel like the cost was worth the poor results. I’m a tough customer but I would love to improve my skin. 😉
Leslie, you will love the vest. It is super cute and flattering. I love a tough customer!!! They make the best customers, and then they make even better consultants!!! Lol! Watch for my email!
I would like to try Rodan and Fields if you have any samples available. I was thinking also about purchasing the Redefine eye cream that you had on sale recently if you still have it. I am turning 57 on Monday, getting married in 2020 and am trying to get my skin looking nice for my wedding! Thank you
Colleen, congratulations!!! I am excited for you to begin 2020 with a wedding. How fun and exciting! I’ll email you and we can chat.
62, and skin care is totally the name of the game now for me! Thanks for your tips and style.
Pam, skin is the name of the game for everyone!!! I can’t understand why people would want to wait until they get wrinkles, instead of preventing them from coming. Lol!!! I’ll email you about the sample.
