A NEW HAIRCUT JUST IN TIME FOR SPRING

I got my new haircut, and it is just in time for spring! Yesterday morning, I had several calls, and Joe had a ZOOM call scheduled. We were both busy, running around crazily, and then my hair appointment got moved up too. All of that to say that I didn’t have time to jump on the computer to answer emails. When I finally got to the salon, I sat down in the chair and opened up my blog while she went to mix my hair color.

Dang!!! I almost gasped when I saw that there were already over 50 comments left. When Jessica, my hairstylist, walked in to start on my hair, I started reading some of them to her. She was surprised that I had changed my mind and that I wanted to cut my hair short again. I videoed her telling about the color process she uses on me, and I uploaded the video to my IG stories. However, I know many of you have asked for photos of my haircut, so here are some photos that she took for me.

I am loving the warm/cool look of my hair color. It has the icy white strand for the cool look, and it also has the golden strands for a warm look. When I was looking back at an earlier “hair” post, I was shocked at the color that I was wearing back then. 😳 If I remember correctly, someone might have said that my hair looked like a calico cat.

I have a couple of outfits already photographed, so you will still see me sporting my long hair for a while. A new haircut makes me feel like a new person, and I always tell Joe that he has a new woman in the house. Lol! It usually takes me a week or more to get used to styling a new haircut, and it is a trial and error process.

The coral abstract colorblock sweater by Vince Camuto looks like spring. I love the bright color and the funky pattern on the sweater. When I feel the nudge to start transitioning to the next season, I try to pay attention to the sleeves and the material’s thickness. It will still be cold for a while, so the long sleeves will come in handy.

The sweater has a ballet neck style, which means that it is wider than a normal opening. It also has dolman sleeves, and it hits me at hip level. The sweater runs a tad large, so I ordered a medium, and it fits me fine.

Here is the dreaded “rear” shot. This sweater doesn’t completely cover my backside, but it attempts. Lol! I wanted to show you that the colorblocking extended to the back of the sweater also.

Let’s talk jewelry. Today I added a gold pair of Easton geometric-shaped hoop earrings. I bought the silver version of these earrings forever ago, and I loved them so much that I grabbed them in the gold version also. The rhinestone small silver cross and the small Sophee heart necklace are dainty additions to my look. I didn’t want something too big and bold taking away from the look of the sweater.

I thought about wearing a pair of blue jeans with this look but decided at the last moment to wear these white skinny jeans instead. But, I figured if I was going to post a look for spring, I might as well wear white jeans. It doesn’t matter if you wear white before Easter or after Easter, you should wear white jeans at some point. If your white jeans are dingy or don’t fit, then grab a pair now before they start selling out.

So, I am not going to wear these ballet flats out in the snow. Lol! But, I wanted to show you the look that I would wear this spring. These monogrammed ballet flats by Michael Kors are a pair that I’ve had for a while, but there are several that look similar.

This photo was one that Joe took for me a couple of days ago, and it will be used for an upcoming post.
