A CASUAL OUTFIT THAT YOU’RE GOING TO WANT FOR YOURSELF
Saturdays are always the day when I am dressed in a comfortable and casual style. Usually, jeans are involved, and that’s the case today too. But, today’s casual style is one that you’re going to want because it can be worn in so many ways. I love versatile clothing, and I always want to buy items that can be worn in multiple ways.
Clothing is expensive, what’s not these days? I try to style clothing from different price points since everyone has a different budget. But, inexpensive clothing doesn’t always equal the best buy. I know that sounds crazy, but hear me out. If I purchase a $20 blouse that lasts me two seasons, that sounds good to me. What if I buy a $100 blouse and wear it for ten years? At that point, you have the same amount of money invested per season, so the question would be, which blouse do you like the best? I’ve found several brands that do carry inexpensive clothing, but the quality is good, and those are the ones that I try to bring to you.
I fell head over heels for this Paisley-Print Peasant Blouse! The blouse is lightweight and flowy, and I love the banded collar and v-neckline. But, the versatility of this blouse is what makes it something you might want to consider. Ask yourself, can I wear this in at least three different ways. If the answer is no, then the price better reflect that because it isn’t going to be much of a bargain. This blouse can be worn with navy, white, khaki, pink, green, and coral, to name a few colors. Pants, shorts, leggings, or skirts will all go with this blouse, and it would look great with a trench coat, denim jacket, or cardigan. I’m wearing a size 1, and the blouse fits me great.
You can see that the blouse is a tunic length, so that’s why I said it would look great with leggings. If you need the top shorter, then tuck it into your bottoms.
I’m wearing the Adeline Hoop Earrings, the Adeline Chain Necklace, and the Maggie Bangle Bracelet for this outfit. I’m also wearing a silver David Yurman Cable Loop Bracelet because I like to mix my metals.
Yesterday, I styled these same jeans in the lighter Sea Breeze Wash. These Everyday Relaxed Jeans are the medium wash, and the color is Eventide. The biggest difference between the two jeans, besides the color, is that this pair has a raw hem, and the lighter pair has a finished hem. The fit is the same, though, and I’m wearing a size 8.
I’ve been searching for a pair of solid white sneakers that I can wear with anything. I really like this pair, but they are too big for me. I ordered my usual size 9, but I needed to size down at least a half size, maybe even more. I’ve got a different pair on order, so I’ll check those out, but these have to go back.
So, what do you think about this casual outfit? Can you see yourself wearing this blouse in multiple ways? How about white sneakers? Do you love them or worry that you won’t be able to keep them clean?
Here is how you order:

I’m interested in Rodan and Fields. I used to use it but am thinking about doing it again. I may place an order. How long is the offer for?
The offer is good through the end of the month.
Love the blouse, especially the color and pattern
Love the shirt!
Is there a way we can comment on your post without doing all the scrolling down? Just a thought.
I wish! But, that is a “theme” feature, not something that I do.
Do you have any tips on keeping white sneakers clean and white? I just ordered the sneakers on your post
I’ve heard some people say that they use Mr. Clean Erasers on them, but I didn’t find that helpful. I use dawn soap, pre-treat any stains, and usually bleach. Also, there are products like Scotch Guard and another one that helps them to repel mud and dirt that you can spray them with. But, I’d try a small spot on the heel first to make sure that they don’t yellow when sprayed.
I love your posts! I’ve been following for a few years now, and I’ve never commented. Until now.
I wonder if one buys the $100 blouse, if in 10 years it would then be ‘out of style’?
I’ve always worried that some of my pieces are ‘out’.
I took the plunge and purchased a pricy maxi skirt from Chicos. I usually look for sales.
But I love the skirt and wear it every year.
How does one determine if that pricy piece will with stand the fashion trends??
Keena, trends are what will go out of style. But, a classic item such as a button-up shirt will always be appropriate. Classic items may not be what is trending, but you can pair that shirt with a pair of less expensive trending jeans, and the outfit will look modern.
Nice look! I love the jeans and just ordered in white at 40% off.
40% off is a great deal!
