Accessories Make An Outfit
We are having a good time in Orlando so far. Come to find out, there are two major premium outlet malls within 20 minutes. While the boys play golf, Sandy and I will be shopping every day. I was pretty good today and only bought a couple things. Accessories were the items I had on my agenda.
This scarf it what makes this outfit! We are going out to dinner and I want to wear a sweater because restaurants are always cold. I hate going out to eat and feeling like I need to take a parka in order to keep from freezing. I don’t know if they keep it cold because the kitchen is hot, or if they want you to only stay a small amount of time so they can get a new customer in your place. Either way I don’t like it.
So, I put on this navy sweater from Cato’s and a pair of capri’s that are by Attyre. If you stop there, you have a nice outfit that is classic or preppy. However, by adding the pop-of-color coral shoes and the scarf, you can take the outfit to another level. Here is a navy cashmere sweater that is really affordable.
The scarf was from Loft, and I bought it today. I think it is an easy way to change the look of an outfit, and at a relatively small price. If you can’t go out and buy a whole new outfit, then go buy an accessory. A necklace, scarf, purse, or a new pair of shoes will make you feel fabulous. Since I bought my scarf at an outlet store, it is not on the Loft website. But, here is one that would be great to change the look of an outfit.
We are headed to Texas De Brazil for dinner. Joe and I are not eating red meat, (chicken and a little fish is all) so this should be interesting. If you have never eaten at a restaurant like this, they come around your table with huge chunks of meat, and ask if you want some. They will keep coming by as long as you have a green coaster at your spot. When you get tired of them coming by, you flip the coaster to a red side. Thankfully, they have a GREAT salad bar with all kinds of items to choose from. I think my financial diet is not the only diet that is going to suffer on this trip.
Be sure to check my blog on Monday, I will be linking up with Mrs. American Made for a East Coast meets West Coast post. Ana is from the west coast, brunette, petite, and wears only products that are american made. This should give your gurls a different perspective.
ALSO, I will announce my 5 month giveaway item. I think you will like it!!!
The comment section is at the end of the post, so keep scrolling. I look forward to reading all the comments, they make my day.
This is also something I WANT and NEED: I have added a subscription button to the blog, right under the recent posts tab. I would appreciate it if you would take the time to sign up. You will then be notified by email when a new post is made.

Really like the look of a dark top with light pants. Adding your new colorful scarf – what an upgrade! Looks so nice! ??. Great looking bright shoes too – happy feet!?
I love your style!! I would like to know what size you are and height? I know this is personal, but you look great.
Debra, I am used to being asked that. Lol! I am 5’6″ and I will usually wear a size 10. I am so glad you are one of the gurls, I hope you come back and visit me often.
You look like youre having a blast!!! What an awesome way to spend the dismal days in between New Years and Spring!! Your outfits are making me excited for warmer weather!!!???
Love your vacation style. Affordable and classic looking. Adding accessories totally change an outfit. Kudos!!!! Looking forward to Monday and reading about an all American shopper….
Oh I want those shoes!! In lots of colors!!! ?
I like the scarf worn low. I usually only wear a scarf as outer wear on an extremely cold day, because I get too hot with all that material around my neck (you know). But this I can do. I think I need to focus more on accessories to step up my basic outfits. As always, thanks for great fashion advice!
I know what you mean Wendy, about all the material around the neck. Infinity scarves sometimes bother me.
I agree….accessories make all the difference! Love the color of your shoes and how they pick up the color in your scarf. Also really love the way you tied your scarf!
Tania,
I love the outfit and you are right, the scarf and shoes really make it an outfit! I am sooo jealous; I want to wear white jeans and sandals. Do you ever wear white jeans in winter and if so what shoes do you wear with them? Have fun shopping!
Cindy, I do wear white jeans in the winter. I treat white like any other color. I see no reason to limit what you wear. I can’t remember what shoes I wear with them, shoes are my downfall in fashion. That is the area I struggle with the most.
Just found your blog and love it!!
I’m loving your vacation outfits and it looks like you’re all having such a great time, its always fun to travel with friends. Looking forward to more vacation pics, stay safe and have fun!
