YOUR STYLE CAN CHANGE OVER THE YEARS
Some outfits make me happy, and this is one of them! This is an outfit that I know is beautiful, chic, stylish, and a showstopper, and I will wear it with confidence in my appearance. For someone who never used to wear red, this is a giant leap and just shows you that your style can change over the years.
Red is a color that draws attention, and I wouldn’t wear that color because I didn’t want people to look at me. I am a somewhat shy person, so drawing attention to myself can be unnerving. Most of you might think that I’ve gotten over my shyness, but that’s not entirely true. It is easier for me to be outgoing behind a computer, but I am still on the shy side in person. However, I have gotten over the “someone’s looking at me” fear. Taking photos of yourself in public will get you over that fear quickly. Lol!!!
I might as well start with the star of the outfit, the spiced red sweater sleeve jacket. Oh, my stars!!! This plush jacket is one that you will wear all fall and winter. The color is gorgeous, and the fit of the jacket is perfect. I’m so in love with this jacket for the fit, but also the style. I love the open-front style and the gold-angled zippers. Plus, the length of the jacket is perfect for a dressier look, but the jacket also looks great with jeans.
I debated what size to order since I knew that I would be wearing the jacket over shirts and sweaters in the winter. I ended up ordering a size 1, and I am thrilled with the fit of the jacket. Usually, I am between a 10 – 12, but a size 1 fits me great.
If there is a co-star of this outfit, then it would be this paisley mockneck sleeveless top. The paisley design has always been one that I gravitate toward, and I think it is a classic print. The colors of this top are classic, and you will be able to wear this in many different ways. I love a sleeveless layering piece since you don’t have to worry about the sleeves bunching under the completer piece. I am wearing a size 2 top because I wanted to ensure that it didn’t show any lumps and bumps.
Here is the back view so that you can see the length of the top.
And, here is a look at the top by itself. You could wear this top in the spring and summer without a completer piece if you wanted.
If you do not have a nice pair of black dress pants, then you are in luck because these are the pants for you. These Juliet side-vent ankle pants are gorgeous, and the pants look and feel like a million bucks. I thought the Perfect Back Seam Ponte pants from Spanx couldn’t be beaten when it came to Ponte dress pants, but they have met their match.
The Spanx pants are thicker and heavier, but these Juliet pants are flowier and feel more dressy. Spanx is well known for its “holding you in” fit, but these have a Hidden Fit panel that smooths your shape and trims your tummy. Either pair of pants is a great choice, but this pair is almost $50 cheaper. I am wearing a size 1, and the fit is spot on!
I’m wearing my AVI large gold hoop earrings and Fallyn cuff bracelet. I thought that the gold in the earrings and bracelet went well with the gold zipper on the jacket. I’ve had these black leather pumps for years, and I’ll wear them for several years more. A black pump is a classic style, and I’ll link to similar options.
Thanks, everyone, for all of the suggestions on dealing with plantar fasciitis. I’m going to try some of these suggestions in the hopes that I can fix the issue without having to get a shot.

Good morning
I just love how all your recent post are showing color around your face. Very good look on you.
You look stunning in red, Tania!
I love this outfit!
Me too, Debbie!
Gorgeous outfit and you look like a zillion bucks in it. Thank you for showing black pants instead of jeans. All the bloggers show recently are jeans. I love jeans but can’t wear them to a lot of events.
Penny Jo, I tend to go toward a dressier style, even though I wear jeans all of the time. I love the opportunity to get dressed up!
The sweater sleeved jacket is beautiful on you. Red is your color as much or more than hot pink. I have always loved the Juliet pants and have worn them as staples for a few years before I retired and now. Never had a problem with Chico’s.
I love red now, so it is strange that I would never wear it before.
LOVE this look.
Me too!
Wow gorgeous!
Thanks!
You look fabulous today, Tania! What a gorgeous outfit on a beautiful lady!
Awwe, you are too sweet!
Hi Tania,
You look really GREAT!!! YOU ROCK!!! You look
beautiful.
Thanks so much, Katherine!
This top and jacket are going to be making the rounds of fashion blogs, it just looks fabulous. I saw the top with more red I think and both are great. Would love to see the jacket styled again.
I’ll wear this jacket a lot this year, I love the way that it fits and looks.
That sweater jacket is fabulous and looks great on you!! Red is a color I normally do not wear, I love blue and you can tell by looking in my closet, but I tried on a dress and it came in red and my husband said get the red one, red always looks better on you than blue. I almost fell over. He never gives his opinion. Now I know!
Lol! My Joe ALWAYS gives his opinion. Lol! You will have to start asking him more often what he thinks.
You did not say where the Juliet pants came from
Oh, No! I went in and updated the post. But, here is the link: https://shopstyle.it/l/byk1X
I went in and fixed the link. Did you find it?
I love today’s scripture! You look fabulous in this outfit! Kay Harms shared this outfit the other day, but she wore the pants in dark brown. Great minds think alike!
One exercise not mentioned that helps me…while laying in bed or just chillin’ in the recliner, go through the motions of writing the alphabet with your feet. Good stretches and relaxing.
I have been looking for a longer red sweater/ cardigan. That one is so beautiful on you. I love the zippers. I wish I would have known about this jacket before purchasing another one. The one I purchased is similar in style but the color isn’t a true red it is more of a orange/ red. I hope it is a keeper for you!
Anne, this one is a keeper! I love the style and the color of it.
You look absolutely stunning Tania! Your #1 look since I became one of the gurls.
It is one of my favorite looks too!
One word….GORGEOUS
Aww, thank you, Joan!
Every piece in today’s outfit is beautiful but the combination looks stunning on you. Glad you’ve included red in your wardrobe because you wear it very well!
I am loving red more and more!
This is your look, lovely lady! More red for you! Smashing! This outfit’s a keeper!
It is definitely a KEEPER!!!
This outfit is BEAUTIFUL on you!!! Red is your color.
I really love wearing red now!
Wow Tania this is a gorgeous ensemble and you look gorgeous in it! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Rhonda. I loved it so much that I took it to Nashville with me.
I feel the same: shy and now love wearing red! It looks great on you!
It is funny how our styles can change so much!
