YOU CAN WEAR THIS OUTFIT FOR SUMMER AND FALL
Yesterday I was feeling colorful, but not so much today. My style changes yearly, and sometimes even monthly. Lately, I’ve been in a mood to wear neutrals, and I figure it has to do with me thinking ahead to fall. However, it could actually be a shift in my style, so I guess I’ll have to wait and see.
I’ve always gone through seasons where I will wear a certain color, such as purple or blue. Ocassionally, I’ll go through seasons where I like to wear black, which is unusual for me. While the colors I’m drawn to change, the type of clothing I like to wear doesn’t change as much. I might wear relaxed jeans because they are trending instead of skinny jeans, but I’m still wearing jeans. A V-Neck top is always going to be my first choice, and I try to steer clear of clothing that clings and shows lumps and bumps. Honestly, I kind of like an evolving style instead of staying in a fashion rut.
I know that the economy is putting a squeeze on many of us, especially when it comes to things like gas and food. While I can’t do anything about those things, I can try and help when it comes to clothing. I love styling outfits from lots of different price points because everyone’s budget is different. So, on days where I’m showcasing an item that I consider a higher price point, I’ll try to also include some lower price point options. I’ll do my best, but some items might be difficult to find similar styles.
Don’t ask me how many denim jackets I own. Lol! It is way too many, but I couldn’t resist this one by Wrangler. I thought that a jacket by Wrangler would be stiff and thick, and I wanted something for fashion, not roping cattle. The jacket may end up being my favorite denim jacket ever! It has some stretch to it, it’s lightweight and unlined, and I love the fit and style. I immediately ripped off the tags and you can expect to see this jacket a lot this Summer and Fall. I am wearing a large, and it fits great.
I’m wearing the denim jacket over a v-neck white tee, but I honestly don’t remember which tee I’m wearing. Lol! I’ll link to some of my favorite brands for tees and ones that I know fit nicely. I usually order a medium or a large in tees since I don’t want them to be too tight. If I’m wearing a tee from Chico’s, then I wear a size 1 unless it is a microfiber top, then I wear a size 2.
I like showing you this angle since you can see the length of the jacket, how the pants/jeans fit, and what the shoes I’m wearing look like from the sides.
I’m loving all things Olive Green this year! This pair of Wide Leg Twill Crop Pants are from SPANX, and I love SPANX clothing. There is one thing that SPANX knows, and that’s a woman’s body. Their clothing fits like a dream, holds you in where you needed to be held, and accentuates the parts of your body that are your best assets. But, most of their clothing runs small, and it is not cheap. I’m wearing a large in these crops, and they are still snug on me. I’ll see if I can find some similar options and link those below.
I’ve worn these neutral-colored Suede d’Orsay Flats for a couple of years. They are comfortable to wear, the heel is almost nonexistent, and I can wear them with anything. I also like the pointy toe, which helps to elongate my legs and make me appear taller and thinner. These flats run TTS; I’m wearing my usual size 9.
I didn’t mention my accessories, and I think accessories make an outfit! You will see my wearing these large hoop earrings 80-90 percent of the time. I love the size and that they are lightweight. However, they are starting to disappear from the websites, and I’m having a hard time finding them for you. They are on Final Sale in Silver and Rose Gold, so if you like them, grab them while you can. My Raffia 2-Strand Necklace and matching Coil Bracelet are great for summer and fall, and they are also on sale. Retailers are unloading their summer items, and you can take advantage of fashions at discounted rates.
I’ve carried this HOBO wristlet a bunch this summer. I liked how different it was, and it seemed to go with anything. This exact wristlet is sold out in this color, but you can still grab it in many different colors and textures. Plus, if you love the Raffia material, two other handbags are available. I found a similar wristlet that is under $20, so check that one out HERE.

What a pretty look! Last week you mentioned that you and your energizer bunny friend attended a Charcuterie event and were going to an Artist and Chef event. I’m local and it sounds like something I would love so I wanted to ask for more information. Are these open to the public and if so, how can I schedule it? Thanks so much for all you do!
Shelby, the Charcuterie event was a ladies’ night out event at the Virginian Golf Club, and you might need to be a member to attend that. However, the Artist and Chef event was at the Nicewonder Inn; I think anyone could attend that.
I like the everyday t-shirts at Kohls. It’s a good simple, vneck shirt. They go on sale for $8 all the time too!
Hey Tania just to clarify is that denim the light wash? I have that jacket in medium wash and you are right—stretchy and easy!
The color I have is called Weathered.
What a great transitional outfit on you! The Wrangler denim jacket is a bit longer in length from others you’ve shared. Okay, I hope you will fess up and share how many denim jackets you have. After you shared the Scoop denim jacket, I ordered it, and I love it! Now it just needs to cool off down here in south central Georgia so that I can wear it.
Great post, you look super!
Love this outfit! I’ve pinned it as I am really drawn to neutrals, they look classy and so easy to switch up especially when traveling..
I might need that jacket although I have several already but yours looks nice and relaxed..
I love the color combination of this outfit. It’s one that I style often myself. I’ve noticed you’ve been styling the Wrangler denim jacket fairly often and I’m very impressed with it. When my current one is too worn out I’ll be buying that brand. You always inspire!
I love everything about the outfit and I’m curious about the pants/jeans…they do have nice long inseams. I never in the past liked the brand for undergarments because they were too constricting feeling for me but I might have to check them out and remember to size up. Thanks
Very cute casual outfit. It’s funny how we get in different moods with fashion. I’m with you, some days/seasons I love bright colors…which is one reason I started following you, but other days I just want to wear casual, calming neutrals, which is what this outfit portrays to me. Very nice!
I actually like having different styles. It intrigues me when I see new fashions, and I like trying all of them to see what I like.
Love this outfit…looks so comfortable. What wash is the jacket. Yours looks lighter than the wash the link directed me to. Thanks ❤
I’m wearing the Weathered color.
