WORKING FROM THE BEACH
We are back from vacation and we had a great time while we were there. It was wonderful to spend some time with the kids but the best thing was just being able to walk down to the beach and chill for a couple of hours. In the past, we had gotten to where we wouldn’t go on vacations in the summer because that is the busiest time for the lumber company. But, there was a week that wasn’t already rented so we decided to sneak away for a couple of days.
Joe is doing much better about taking pictures so I have to give him a big shoutout. But, he was a little lazy this day and didn’t want to walk outside to the beach. He said, “just go out on the balcony, it will be fine.” I explained that since it was so bright behind me that it wouldn’t be bright enough on my face. He explained to me that “it will do.” Don’t you gurls take up for him either. He is all the time telling me that the “gurls” will take up for him and that you all like him. Lol! He is such a hoot.
I wish you could see these earrings better because they are super cute. Don’t worry, I am loving them and keep grabbing them every time I get an opportunity so you will see plenty of them later. These are called the Georgette and they are faux shells (looks real to me) with an accent of teal and coral. The shells are also attached on long gold threads. These are great for a vacation to the beach but the teal and coral accent colors work for any summer activity. The three tortoiseshell bracelets are the Sierra, Suzie, and the Tanesha. I have several peasant tops that I have bought this spring. This one came from Old Navy and I actually already wore it back in April. (Here) I like showing you how I styled something before so that you can see that there are multiple ways to wear things. In fact, I have been thinking about taking one printed top and showing you a large number of ways to style the very same top. Would that be something that you would like to see or would you get tired of seeing the same top over and over? Let me know what you think. These distressed jeans are a pair that I bought at a local boutique. They are by a brand called Sneak Peek and I haven’t been able to locate them anywhere. I really like the distressing for a relaxed, knock-around look, and the raw hem fits this look perfect. I did my best to find some similar jeans so check these out.
I really appreciate all of the shares and the pins of my outfits that you have been doing. PLEASE continue to do that, you won’t believe the difference it has made in my number of visitors to my blog.

I, also, would love to see a series of you styling the same top different ways. I don’t have much money so I need to stretch my clothes. I love your distressed jeans especially with the raw hem. I’d love to get some…
Footwear courtesy of This Little Piggie Went To Market??? you crack me up!
You look relaxed and happy and chic as always. Joe is right-we love him! You too of course!!!
Yes, please do a printed top styling. I usually shy away from them, but when you share a look I tend to go for it. Thank you!
Your rental property looks interesting. Where are you?
I absolutely love your denim with pearl embellishments on the calf area of the denim which you wore yesterday! Those were so flattering on you. Hope to order a pair by end of the week.
Vacations are the best, welcome back home!

That’s a vacation outfit! I love the distressed jeans, but lately I find I like the distressed jeans with the denim patch in behind the distressed spots, found a pair in Florida and just love them, they were JLo brand…. I’ve yet to get a pair with the raw hem , but I’m looking! Lol…..lovely pictures!
Today’s outfit is super cute
I would love to see you show various ways to style different tops. I have no imagination at all with my clothing and get all my inspiration from others. My go to is a top with a black cardigan. LOL. Same old, same old. Not very imaginative. I’m a new follower and just signed up for your daily emails and am very inspired by your great style. You always look fantastic!
I love to see things styled in various ways because I get stuck in a rut, so YES! And yay Joe-what a hoot! I didn’t think I’d like distressed jeans but I found out that I do and I’m…ahem…not a spring chicken anymore according to my driver’s license! I wear what I like, not what arbitrary rules say I should wear!
Very cute. Even the distressed jeans which I don’t always go for. And you just have to love the cynics of this world. To think you’d fake a trip. I had to laugh.
Yep, your hubby is a hoot! Thanks for keeping us laughing, Joe! Beautiful view! So precious having that time w your family on the beach! Cute top, and you know I love those jeans cause I wear mine all the time! Earrings are super perfect for the beach! Sure, styling one top different ways would be fun!
Don’t you be mean to Joe. ?
Next time Joe is feeling to lazy to select a more suitable location just get him to wrap a white bed sheet around himself so it can reflect light in your face. #togajoe
Would love to see the same piece styled different ways. Makes packing for travel easier.
Would love to see you style a top in several ways. Always enjoy when you do that; I have a tendency to wear the same thing with same things every time.
I used to be guilty of that too, Lori. The blog has made e be more creative and quit going back to my tried-and-true outfits.
Would love to see a series of you styling one top multiple ways!
Great, Jennifer! I might try to take multiple pictures over the weekend.
I love the top and the jewellery.
Personally I think the distressed jeans are for kids or fashion victims.
Not for a sophisticated lady of our years.
However you wear the whole look very well.
I always love your hair by the way.
I don’t think that I have ever been called a “Kid” or a “Fashion Victim” in such a nice way. Lol!!! Seriously, I understand how you feel. That is what fashion is all about. What I might love might not be for you and that is fine. You need to express yourself in a way that is comfortable for you.
I think the balcony as a great choice and I love your bare feettoo
Whit whoop! Looking cool lady ? lovely casual outfit relaxed style really suits you.
I would love to see you style the same top several different ways. Vacation time is coming and that would be a great way to help me pack a little lighter.
Thanks, Pat. That is a wonderful reason for styling the same top.
