It sure has been a scorching hot summer! I’m headed to Atlanta today, and I am already dreading the hot, humid “Hotlanta” weather. You feel like you are inside a sauna at all times everytime you step outside. I’ve been trying to pack, and the items I’ll be taking with me have to be cute, comfortable, and cool. Here are some women’s fashions from Walmart I found to beat the summer heat.

Cotton Tiered Dress

This Cotton Knit Tiered Dress is perfect when you want to look cute, comfortable, and cool. The Sea Turtle color (I’m calling it Olive) is trending for summer, but you can throw on a denim jacket this fall for a great transition outfit.

I paired it with a Straw and Khaki Handbag and Buckle Toe Loop Sandals since both of them are great neutrals. I’m wearing a medium in the dress, and it fits me perfectly. There are 12 different colors to choose from, and since the dress is under $12, you can grab one for every day of the week.

Utility Shirt Dress

You might notice that I’m choosing a lot of dresses to take with me. That’s because dresses are the coolest items you can wear in the summer to beat the heat. This Short Sleeve Utility Shirt Dress is 100% cotton and lightweight. I love that you can wear it to work or play, and it can be dressed up or down.

I paired it with a black Woven Tote With Pouch and black Strappy Sandals. The tote is large enough to carry a laptop and double as a briefcase. Minimal sandals are trending this year, and I am a happy camper. I’ve worn this style for several years, and I like the no-fuss style.

Eyelet Dress with Flutter Sleeves

This Eyelet Dress with Flutter Sleeves is super cute for summer. It is also 100% cotton and lightweight, but because it is lined, it won’t be as cool as the others. I would wear this dress on days I would be mostly inside or in the evenings once the sun sets.

Eyelet Top And Wide Leg Crops

I know a lot of ladies prefer to wear pants instead of a dress, even in a heat wave. Don’t worry…I’ve got something for you. This outfit won’t be quite as cool as wearing a dress, but the Cropped Wide Leg Pants will do a decent job of letting air get to your legs. Plus, the Buckle Toe Loop Sandals will keep your feet from getting hot, and that makes a huge difference.

The Eyelet Crew Neck Top is one you can wear with anything, and the jersey knit body is super soft and comfortable. This top is also available in navy, and I wore it earlier with a matching navy skirt.
