WILL I GET TO GO ON A VACATION THIS YEAR

I am beginning to think that I am part amphibian. It doesn’t matter how hot it is outside, as long as I’m not in direct sun, I prefer to be outside on the porch instead of in the air-conditioned house. Joe tells me that I have no blood or no circulation. Emersyn has gotten to where she tells me that I am cold-blooded and that I burn her up when she is over at my house. Is this something that other women do, or am I just wired up differently?

My father is also one who freezes all of the time. He is even worse than I am, but not by much. Lol! All of my gifts to him usually involve heat, and things that will help to keep him warm. I’ve seen him sitting in the house with a huge puffer coat and pants with the gas logs blazing. Of course, I will turn on my heated seats in the car even in the middle of summer, so I guess I have no room to talk. Haha! So, please tell me that I am not alone, and that some of you are also in the same boat. It always feels better when you have other people in the same boat who understand what you mean.

I think that I am really missing my normal beach vacation. It seems like everything that I am choosing to wear would be perfect if I was going on vacation. Here is the thing, I may not be going on vacation right NOW, but that doesn’t mean that I’m NEVER going on vacation again. So, when I see something cute that I know I could wear the next time that I do get to go, I snap it up now. This tropical sleeveless maxi dress was one of those purchases. I love the tropical island vibe from this dress, and it would look so cute at the beach, but it is fine to wear other places also. This is a nice heavy knit dress that is soft and flowy, but it doesn’t cling to your lumps and bumps. I am wearing a size 1 in this dress, but in other brands, I would wear a size 12 in dresses.

I know that a lot of women don’t like to show their upper arms. I get it, I have saggy arms also. So, I threw on this very lightweight and sheer hot pink cardigan to hide my arms. I’ve had this cardigan since early spring, and I’ve worn it several times on the blog. Here is one of my favorite looks with this cardigan, and it is so youthful-looking. I am wearing a size medium in this cardigan, and it fits me great. It comes in a ton of colors, so I am sure that you will find one that you like.

Accessories can make the outfit. Yesterday I wore this same straw hat with the bright yard trim and summerberry tassel necklace with a different dress. This just goes to show you that you can wear the same items with different outfits, and get more wear from your items. This is especially true if you buy items in colors that you love and wear often. So, since I love wearing pink, and especially bright pink, I should be able to wear the hat and the necklace over and over again. I also added the AVI large statement hoops in gold that matches the little gold beads in the necklace. I love these large hoops, and amazingly, they are not heavy at all. Because I love them so much, I also have them in silver. Lol!

I know that you gurls hate it when I wear something that you can’t purchase. I’m sorry that this exact pair of shoes is no longer available, but they are the perfect summer dress shoe to wear with dresses. I promise that I keep looking for them, or at least a pair that is very similar so that all of you can have the perfect summer shoe also.
