WHY YOU SHOULD WEAR A CARDIGAN
The official countdown has begun. There is only one more week until Christmas!!! I have been singing Christmas carols all around the house, especially, “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.” I went outside to feed the cat and I thought I was going to have frostbite on my toes before I could get back inside. Don’t worry about the cat, we have a heated garage with a small pet door for her. She is a little on the spoiled side. Anyway, I went outside and heard a funny sound. It took me a few minutes to figure out that it was sleeting and I was hearing it hit the leaves that are still left on the trees.
I keep looking at the long-range weather forecast and hoping to see some snow in the forecast. Right now there is a 40% chance of snow but less than an inch. That is good enough for me since last year it was so hot that we had on short sleeves and we had to open the door at my mom’s house. Lol! This week I am asking Alexa to play, “Santa Baby” every time Joe walks through the kitchen. I wonder if he will take the hint. Hahaha
I am really partial to this color. I am talking about the cranberry color of the cardigan and in the stripe of the scarf. I love a cardigan and you will see me wear them all year long. Cardigans cover the upper arms which is a big deal to a lot of women. I like a cardigan because it provides lightweight coverage and hides a multitude of problems in the tummy area. That is a big deal to me.
The caramel colored corduroy jeans are by Ralph Lauren. They are bootcut and this type cut works well for those who have a little extra weight in the hip area. Because the bottom of the pants is wider it will help to balance out the overall look and helps with proportion.
The scarf is what brings this whole outfit together. I decided to go with the caramel corduroy jeans because of the light beige color of the scarf. This is very similar to the Burberry plaid print scarf. The big difference is the price but also the material. This is a very lightweight material which reminds me of gauze. I don’t remember where I got the scarf and I will always take off the attached labels because I don’t like them to show when I wear the scarf. I also like how the scarf can hide some tummy bulges and by wearing it long it helps to make you look taller.
On Saturday’s post, I decided to share with everyone reason number 1 that I think you should join me in my Rodan + Fields business. Today I am sharing my next reason:
Reason number 2. Get the best skin and lashes of your life all at a 25% discount. If you become a consultant the level of participation is all dependant on you. If you only want to make purchases for yourself then that is just fine. If you want to only sell to family or close friends then that is perfectly alright. There are no minimums or sales quotas for this type of consultant. However, if you want a business that makes you money, that is up to you also. There are lots and lots of training and groups that you can learn from. I am currently enrolled in a training program that is part of the corporate Level Up program. Email me and I can tell you more.
This is also something I WANT and NEED: I have added a subscription button to the blog, right under the recent posts tab. I would appreciate it if you would take the time to sign up. You will then be notified by email when a new post is made.
Please be aware that links to vendors may be affiliate links. I do profit from your purchases through the links on the blog.
That scarf is the best—it ties it together and keeps you warm!!
I think my mom (the 70+ model on my blog) has one like this—I may have to borrow it..LOL!!

Great outfit love the casual . Merry Christmas!
Absolutely LOVE this look! Casual, but yet so put-together!
Good morning! YOU look so elegant and cozy! Have a beautiful day! Merry Christmas to All!
Totally rethinking the cardigan option. I like the longer length of the one you’re wearing. Looks stylish.
I see Rodan + Fields representatives advertised in our local paper and I also saw a car with a big window sign that the drivers was a rep! The word is out about how wonderful the products are. Love your cardigan and the overall look! We have quite a bit of snow but our stores are so warm, I just wear light layers – no coat.
Haha. I guess that is one way to get the word out that they are a consultant. Everyone has their preferences. I think that personal contact works best so that people can see that you really like what you sell.
I too love to wear a cardigan but I always have trouble with them feeling like they are falling off my shoulders, I’m always pulling the two sides toward the middle but that doesn’t stop me from wearing them. I have a scarf almost identical to yours and love it.
I love that whole look on you!Leaving the snow for some warmer weather down south for Christmas! Hopefully you will see a few flakes during the holidays.
I like bootcut slacks and jeans. I too prefer cranberry over bright red which can make my skin look dull. The scarf does s nice job of making it all join together!!! Very pretty for the holidays! Best… Kathy
I prefer the cranberry color also, it is not as stark.
I like a long cardigan with a scarf too, makes me feeled pulled together. Merry Christmas!
Exactly, Sandy. It takes no more effort to look pulled together and stylish than just to pull on a shirt and a pair of pants.
Feel- not feeled!! (I just read my post) ! Haha!
