WHITE SHORTS AND A COLD SHOULDER TOP

Today is going to be my last day at the beach, and I am going to make it a good one. That means a day spent looking out over the ocean and watching the waves crashing on the shore. I am not drawn to get in the water, but I love watching the motion of the ocean. Joe loves to play in the waves, and he will stay in the ocean for hours. Today is going to be the first day that he will get to play since he has been golfing every day this week.
We went to eat at a place called California Dreaming last night. This is Joe’s favorite place to eat when we are at the beach. He swears that he has never gotten anything there that wasn’t delicious. After we had all gotten finished eating, Elle (my Energizer Bunny Friend’s daughter) ordered a piece of cheesecake. When the slice arrived, it was HUGE. All of us ended up getting a spoon to try the slice, and there was still a considerable chunk left for her to take back to the condo with us. Lol! Joe is planning on waking up before Elle so that he can finish eating it, but I am afraid that he is going to be out of luck. Elle has the rest of us on “cake duty” to make sure that Joe doesn’t beat her to her treat. Cake is the breakfast of champions. LOL!!!
The colors in this top are beautiful, and I was attracted to the colors before I even saw the style of the top. I have not been wearing as many cold shoulder tops recently, but I do like the way that this one is made. I like the thicker straps since I can wear a normal bra, and the flutter sleeves are very feminine. I purchased this top at Versona, a sister store of Cato Fashions, but it is not on their website. However, I did find several tops by this brand that I liked.

These are a pair of hot pink raffia earrings. I haven’t had these very long, but I can’t remember where I bought them. Lol! That might be a sign that I buy way too much stuff. The raffia trend is big right now, and I like that they are lightweight. I am wearing two of the turquoise Ernestine bracelets. These feature large natural stones that are wrapped with gold wire, and they are adjustable up to 9.5 inches.

White shorts are a must for the summer months. I like this 10″ length short, it is not too long and not too short. Since these are white, I look for a pair that is not thin. My test is to put my hand inside my white items, and if I can see my hand through the material, then it is too thin. This pair is nice and thick, and it passes my “hand” test. Lol!
