WHERE TO SHOP WHEN YOU WANT TO LOOK PUT TOGETHER

When I was in my early twenties, I can remember admiring my boss’s wife because she always looked “put-together.” She obviously took pride in her appearance, and every time that I saw her, she was stunning. She never knew it, but she made a big impression on me, and ever since then, I have made an effort to look put-together and stylish.

I want my clothing to leave an impression when I leave the room. To me, this outfit would say, “casual chic,” or maybe it would say, “stylish and comfortable.” Both of those descriptions would be correct, and I would be happy with either impression.

This twist front top from Chico’s is soft, comfortable, stylish, and elegant. How much more could you ask for from a top? This lightweight knit top features a side twist and a scoop neckline, which makes the top very flattering. I was afraid that the knit material might show all my lumps and bumps, but as you can see, it does not cling. The top has short sleeves, but they are longer than most short sleeves. I know that ladies who don’t like showing their upper arms will appreciate this feature. I am wearing a medium which is a size 8-10, and it fits me perfectly.

Have I told you that I love, love, love the So-Slimming Girlfriend Crops from Chico’s? I think that I have almost every color that they make in these jeans. Lol! Recently I showed you the embroidered version in the perfect colors for fall. And, today, I am showing up this gorgeous floral design jean in white and deep indigo. You get the same great fit of the Girlfriend Crops, but you get an added design detail that elevates the look up a notch or two. I have found that I need to size down a couple of sizes when I order these jeans. I wear a size 10 in jeans with most brands, but I order a .5 in Chico’s sizing.

You can’t possibly look put-together without accessories. I kept it simple with my jewelry, and the Cassie silver hoop earrings are the perfect size for almost everyone. The multi-strand necklace has gorgeous blue hues in several different shades. This necklace is modern-looking, and I love the adjustable leather clasp. You can easily adjust the length of the necklace, which allows it to go with more outfits.
